Barbarella XXX: An Axel Braun Parody Review

Two points I have to make before I start this review of Barbarella XXX; I'm not familiar with the source material and I'm not a fan of condoms in my porn AT ALL (especially with what's going on with the AHF) yet I respect Wicked Pictures as a company along with their right to include condoms in their features. That being said this review will be unique in regards to my outlook on an exceptional adult parody. Of course I had to do my research to get an idea of what was being parodied by the maestro himself Axel Braun. This feature has a ton of cameos that will put a smile on any true porn fan's face. Seeing Tera Patrick cameo a non performance role was very pleasing especially seeing how beautiful she is to this day. I was a huge fan of her stuff she did with her Ex husband Evan Seinfield so it's good to see her active in the industry in some form. James Bartholet an industry veteran and parody master joins this motley crew of porn legends as well playing the role of Durand Durand. The godfather of porn Ron Jeremy pays a visit as well to round out some of the brilliant cameos in Barbarella.

What's being parodied here is a sci-fi pulp film based on a French comic book from 1968. This is something Axel Braun excels at the comic book market of porn parodies. So it's only natural the maestro designs a porn parody revolving around a French-Italian comic book keeping true integrity to his craft. The original Barbarella was also re-released to a wider audience in 1977 giving the original film the cult status that it rightfully deserves among film fans. Back to porn! The porn version pays tribute to the industry by having many veterans in the cast in non-performing roles while including fresh talent like Rachel Madori performing with seasoned starlets Asa Akira. The girl-girl scene with Asa Akira and Rachel Madori is one of the scenes I must recommend if you plan to skip around this DVD jump right over to the Boy-Girl scene with Kurt Lockwood and Chanell Heart after that. The animated DVD menus which is a standard in parody features should guide you to your desired scene out of the 15 chapters which are uniquely titled according the plot advancement in the film. This is something I like about Barbarella the plot isn't really forced on you as a viewer you can tell the sex scenes are what this feature is all about while containing great performers along with cameos to keep things fresh.

As Riley Steele aka Barbarella "arrives" to Tau Ceti she stumbles upon two Tweedledee and Tweedledum-esque greeters who quickly give her two distractions from her proposed mission that Tera Patrick aka President of Earth tasks her with. The task at hand now is Barbarella juggling both Evan Stone's and Eric Masterson's man meat. Evan Stone's character Mylo alarmingly alerts Barbarella with a strange yell or call most likely indigenous to those who dwell near Tau Ceti. It definitely grabs Barbarella's attention giving Mylo and Nylo the opportunity to fornicate with her. In the main plot of the original film human's of earth no longer partake in physical intercourse rather they ingest some sort of pill to initiate harmony. It makes sense for the sexually free Barbarella to search for sex partners in a different galaxy even though it's not her main mission. Plus it gives the viewers of this porn parody great sex scenes with cosplaying. I like full on nudity in my fuck scenes yet I understand the nature of parodies and the importance of costumes keeping in mind there is a huge fetish market (thanks to comic book nerds) who indulge in cosplay themed porn. No worries though you will see Riley Steele's hot naked ass in other scenes just not this threesome scene with Evan Stone and Eric Masterson. As the cocks flop out and enter Riley's mouth the music takes a turn from the cheesy to a dark industrial flavored tone which I really liked during the ripping BJ segment. Riley Steele is up there as one of the top blowjob givers on film I remember her hot slurping stringers back when she was a contract girl at Digital Playground. As Riley's cape gets flapped away we see there is a slit in her elaborate costume. This allows her to giddy up cowgirl on Evan Stone again nudity is preferred in cowgirl positions so we can see Riley's nude booty jiggle as she gets fucked but this feature is following a theme. Riley bends over backwards to gulp Masterson's meat while still riding Evan Stone cowgirl a very interesting sex position I have to say reminiscent of the "spit roast" position. One sex position that to me was glaringly omitted in this scene was a DP. Due to variety of Barbarella there aren't many pops my favorite cum shot on the DVD is Kurt Lockwood on Chanell Heart which in my opinion is the sloppiest pop.

As the psychedelic story continues on Durand Durand who is brilliantly portrayed by James Bartholet leads Barbarella into the chamber of dreams to face the "Mathmos" instead she voyeurs a chemistry infused scene with Kurt Lockwood and Chanell heart. Riley joins the viewers as she spies Priya Rai and Chanell Heart smoking Kurt Lockwood out of a giant hookah. It seems that way but it is most likely some sort of cryogenic-chamber housing Chanell's sex toy. Tongue slapping stringers ensue as Chanell starts to slobber on Kurt's cock initiating some slimy-hot oral sex segments. Since Barbarella has a great soundtrack I recommend watching 'Barbarella XXX' with headphones. Your cans will pick up the slashing sounds of Kurt rapidly finger banging Chanell accompanied by the fitting soundtrack hovering in the background. Penetration begins in this scorcher with Chanell dressed in scantily clad lingerie that easily comes off as opposed to Riley's advanced adornments in the first scene. As the cheek-slapping fucking begins you will see two beautiful bodies entangled in heated pleasure and yes that means Chanell's ass cheeks jiggling in all its glory as she hits it cowgirl on Kurt Lockwood. The final scene consists of the lead women Asa Akira and Riley Steele going at it in a decorated girl-girl scene as they are still trapped in the chamber of dreams. What I really wanted though was a blow out orgy scene just like at the end of Men In Black XXX but instead we got something different. Diversity in the selection of source material is the another way to put it. Who would of thought they would make a Barbarella porn parody? "What is Barbarella?" was my first reaction when I first heard the announcement of said production. So in effect porn parodies can teach you a thing or two about culture and art. Also Axel Braun's diverse approach to parodies is apparent as he currently produced a fairy tale themed fuck flick based on Peter Pan. So it's not all superheroes all the time. My copy came with an extras disc that contains bonus scenes something I'm not used to on a parody disc yet extremely welcome it. You can watch scenes from other wicked productions to get a taste of their quality products. On the very same disc is a Behind the Scenes featurette to tackle as well. Barbarella is a complete package in the porn parody world that every porn fan should view at least once. I'm sure you'll be humming "Barbarella, Sulttarella" to yourself in no time.
