Audio /Video Quality:
Axel Braun is well known for his attention to detail, and it continues to show in his technical aspects. The audio is clear and free of any background noises, but the music is often a bit loud. The video is presented in anamorphic widescreen and looks very nice. It's well lit and clear with a solid eye behind the camera and hand on it.
Watermark Warning:
The usual Vivid watermark is in the lower right corner. It's small, fairly tasteful (if a watermark can be such a thing), and stays stationary making it easy to put out of mind. Although I can't say that I like to see watermarks, if a company feels that's what they have to do in order to protect their product I hope they can keep them as tasteful as Vivid does here.
The Movie:
Let's see... Hydra has bad stuff planned so the Avengers are going to try to stop them. Spider-Man's along for the ride, and things seem to go from bad to worse for the Avengers when Hydra shoots Spidey and turns him into Venom.

Avengers XXX 2: Along Came a Spider is one of those releases where I can't help but think that I went in with way too high of expectations. I mean, this is Axel Braun, one of the kings of parodies, and when you have people like Andy Appleton and Kylie Ireland doing the sets and other production aspects you know it's going to look amazing. It does. It looks amazing. Unfortunately it also didn't seem to have much more than a bunch of pretty costumes. The sex is good, but not great. Jayden Jaymes looks great and takes a fantastic facial and Rikki turns out a nicely passionate scene with Eric. Juelz gives up the ass great, but between her dark costume, Xander in a black suit, and the lighting being a little low overall I couldn't help but be a little underwhelmed even if she did seem to be putting out one of her normal great performances. Zoe and Lex and Eva and Seth's scenes were also good, but not great, and overall all of the sex was held back a little for me due to the editing making things feel a little choppy and frequently losing things like the transitions between positions. The story is also extremely choppy, and seemed more than a little disjointed even by porn standards. I'm not sure what Winter Soldier and Red Guardian were doing here when it would have worked much better having something like a Penny Pax blowbang with Hydra goons or a threesome with Xander, Jazy (as Black Cat), and Rikki. In the end, Avengers XXX 2: Along Came a Spider looks pretty, but it never seems cohesive or focused enough to be as good as one expects.
The Extras:
In addition to cumshot recaps on the first DVD, a second DVD is devoted entirely to extras. Trailers are included for eight other Axel Braun parodies. The photo gallery lasts over five and a half minutes. There's also a behind the scenes featurette, a non-sex version of the movie lasting about eighteen minutes, and commercials.
The behind the scenes featurette lasts just under twenty minutes. Xander starts things out with a bit of a chat before things move on with Eric talking about his costume and shooting some of their scene. There's plenty of shooting Xander's scenes as well as costuming Lexington Steele and Zoe Voss chatting about her upcoming scene with Lex and superpowers. Rikki also talks about getting over her fear of guns with Eric as he gives her a few tips before they shoot his hospital scene. Finally there's a bit of Seth talking about being the Winter Soldier and super powers. This is a decent little behind the scenes featurette. You get a little personality and a nice look at the cast and crew working together on the movie, but it's also pretty limited. This is a good but not a great featurette.
