There's a great variety of action and starts, but the technical aspects hold the release back due to stretching older scenes out to anamorphic widescreen rather than leaving them their original aspect ratio. There's also a pair of Jenna Jameson bonus scenes to help out the extras. Although far from perfect, for the price you can pick this one up it's hard not to recommend it. [read the full review]

What I liked The camera work is much better than most movies. There are none of the disgusting close ups (which makes for better viewing). All of the women look great. There are 7 scenes which is fantastic. All of the women are aggressive. There aren't any of the annoying costumes (which get in the way of the sex) you usually see in movies with plots. You see a lot of flesh. What I disliked It would have been great if they added one more woman to the movie but it didn't bother me in the least. Overall Thoughts I was surprised by this movie. I thought it was going to be subpar because the box did not display much. I rented it because I wanted to see Claudia Adkins (and Miko) after seeing her in Black Cravings 3. "Hidden Obsessions" is an incredible presentation, and anyone who is familiar with Andrew Blake's work knows about his style of porn. It's an awesome showcase of cinematography and music, which makes it an incredibly beautiful movie. The movie is about a writer (Janine Lindemulder) who is hired by a collector to write erotic stories, and each scene is a visual depiction of a particular story. I cant recommend it for fans of nasty sex or people who cant stand any plot in their adult films as there is enough of a plot here that it will interfere with their viewing. It would have been nice if the video had been of better quality and that instead of putting the useless standard Vivid special features that the two films had been presented in their entirety as there would have been plenty of space for them.
