Initial Expectations: It’s been a long time since I watched any of VCA’s Deep Inside series, but I remember it as being a very well done compilation. I’m hoping this one lives up to my memory of others in this series.

Initial Reaction: It’s a nicely done compilation, although I’ve seen Nikita in a few better scenes that weren’t included here.

Audio /Video Quality: The audio and video are well done. The audio is normally clear and well balanced, although there are a few spots that are a little on the low side. The video is clear without a lot of shadows or grain. This is pretty normal for VCA, and one of the few very positive things a person can regularly count on from them.

Music: As usual with compilations, the musical style and balance varies a bit from scene to scene. The style changes more than the balance, with the balance normally resting nicely in the background. Most of the style is also pretty typical, although there are a couple songs that are a little different.

Disc Complaints / False Advertising: The cover proclaims that VCA is “setting the standard of excellence”. While this was very true at one time, it appears that now VCA has decided they’ve done enough and have let other companies lead the way in showing how to make an excellent DVD. No, this doesn’t mean VCA makes DVDs that suck. It does mean that their DVDs don’t really achieve the “excellence” they proclaim on their covers.

Menus: Is VCA reusing the same old tired main menu here that they seem to everywhere else? Well, that’s probably best answered with another question. Does a bear shit in the woods? Surprisingly, and in a touch that’s as nice as the main menu is lousy, the chapter menu lists the chapters by the feature the scene came from. This is the best way I can think of to organize a compilation feature, and one of the few things that I think still shows caring from VCA.

The Feature: As with most of VCA’s Deep Inside series, Deep Inside Nikita is a compilation feature framed around interviews with Nikita. She talks about certain aspects of her life and sexuality, while using those aspects to introduce scenes from her movies. This works well for two reasons. One, you know where the movie comes from so you can check it out later, and two, it lets you know a little more about the star and see her as more of a person rather than just as a character on your TV.

Nikita starts things out with a scene from Photoplay with Rayveness, Angelica Sin, and Vicca making a scene for Tyce Bune. Rayveness quickly pairs up with Nikita while Vicca and Angelica enjoy each other further down the bar. Although all four of these women have shown some great intensity in the past, very little of it comes out here. They start things out very slowly, and by the time things got going good I could barely stay awake. Scenes like this should make many people happy they have a fast forward button.

Nikita takes on Julian in a scene from Brentwood Housewife Hookers next. Julian starts out absorbed by the TV until he notices Nikita bending over in the kitchen and moves in tof a closer look, as well as a little touching. Julian gets a nice taste of Nikita’s twat as she leans against the kitchen counter, and then lets her mouth work its way across his chest and down to his cock, which she nicely strokes and sucks. Nikita braces herself between the kitchen counter and center island as Julian starts to fuck her in a standing missionary, before they both get onto the center island for the mandatory reverse cowgirl. They hop back down so Julian can take Nikita from behind before he unloads on her tits. Nikita makes sure Julian’s completely done by milking out the last few drops with her tits before letting him run off to no doubt take a nap. It’s a good scene with some nice chemistry, but it does seem to go on just a little long. It also has a fairly natural feel, unlike many other scenes in the kitchen. Nikita and Julian seem nicely matched in size, which also helps things like the standing fuck come off well rather than looking like an acrobatic act.

Tony Tedeschi and Nick East join Nikita in a scene from The Wrong Snatch that is, unfortunately, poorly edited so that you see way too much unnecessary information from the original movie. Nikita quickly moves into the middle so she can give while receiving before taking on both guys orally. She gets back into the middle and sucks Nick’s cock while Tony licks and fucks her from behind before riding Nick’s cock with each of her holes. She keeps things moving along and takes a nice double penetration before a good facial. Her scene is a little on the slow side and well done, and inner cut with a scene between Ian Daniels and Stephanie Swift. It’s a fun scene that has a lot of laughs, but it they could have been cut out very easily.

Nikita hooks up with Jonathan Morgan and Melanie Stone in a scene from Vortex next. Nikita warms Jonathan up orally while Melanie rides his face, and then lets Melanie lick her kitty, as well as diddling herself, as Jonathan fucks Melanie missionary style. Nikita also takes her turn at the end of Jonathan’s fuck stick, and returns Melanie’s earlier favor before joining her in accepting Jonathan’s guy goo. It’s a pretty good scene that’s a little above average, but not much.

Nikita’s one Jim Holliday performance appears with her scene from Brown Eyed Blondes with Steve Hatcher and Kelsey Heart. The girls start out warming each other up as Steve watches before they climb on top of each other and let Steve choose which cooze to cruise. The girls join forces to suck Steve’s cock before Nikita sits back to watch Kelsey ride Steve both in reverse and standard cowgirl. Afterwards Steve comes over to fuck Nikita, starting with her pussy and then moving into her ass as Kelsey fucks Nikita’s pussy with a dildo. The girls finish things off letting Steve decorate their chest with his white streamers, which is about the only color the outfits they started out in didn’t have. As usual with Jim Holliday’s features, it’s fun and extremely hot. There’s great chemistry and should get the juices flowing for most anybody who still has blood pumping through their veins.

Randy Spears gets the pleasure of performing with Nikita next in a scene from The Show. They take turns warming each other up orally before Nikita crawls up to ride Randy reverse cowgirl style. She moves around to let Randy poke her from behind, and even in the behind, before he decorates her beautiful butt with his ball butter. It’s a pretty good scene that has both anal sex and a couples friendly feel. There’s great chemistry between Randy and Nikita, and it really makes the scene work.

Finally, Nikita has a special scene for this feature with Lee Stone. Nikita looks a little different for this scene with long straight hair rather than the frizzy curls that normally adorn her head, and it looks great. She quickly gets down to suck Lee’s love muscle before taking it deep inside in the standard reverse cowgirl without any oral warmup from Lee. They move on with a standing fuck before Lee pumps her from behind on a metal staircase. He finally ends things popping on Nikita’s back and ass. It’s another borderline hot scene that has some good chemistry and heat. It’s a nice scene to finish things off artistically, but unlike in many other scenes, the artistic feel doesn’t get in the way of the sex.

Deep Inside Nikita is a nicely done compilation feature. The interviews with Nikita serve as a very nice framework for the feature, and do give you a chance to see Nikita as a person rather than just a character. Unfortunately, even the interviews seem kind of acted out, which brings it back down a little, although it’s still better than the average compilation. The sex is a decent mix, but unfortunately concentrates on many of Nikita’s milder scenes since the wildest one is from Jim Holliday’s Brown Eyed Blondes. Due to this, Nikita’s wilder side is rarely shown, which is really too bad as I remember seeing her as quite the sexual animal in other scenes. Despite this, Deep Inside Nikita is still an above average compilation, although it’s not as good as it might have been.

Extras: The only bio included is one for Nikita. Although this is alright since she is the main attraction here, it would have been nice to see something on some of her frequent co-stars. The photo gallery lasts a bit over two and a quarter minutes with seven seconds per nice looking full screen photo. Trailers are included for Dark Garden, Brown Eyed Blondes, and the amazing The Devil in Miss Jones 6. There’s also a six minute featurette narrated by Jim Holliday for the Adult Entertainment Hall of Fame, going through many of the classic porn stars as well as a few that are still around. Jim Holliday also gives a minute and a half introduction about Nikita that adds a little, but not much. Of course, there’s also internet and contact information. Although I would have liked a few more extras, there’s enough different stuff here that I’m barely giving it an average rating.

Overall: Currently, Deep Inside Nikita can be found online for between $18 and $25 with only a couple stores offering it near the low end. If you’re a huge fan of Nikita you’ll probably be happy at the low end, but others might want to rent it first. The sex is a little on the soft side and some of Nikita’s best work didn’t make it into the feature. The personal sequences also didn’t work as well here as in other Deep Inside features and felt fairly scripted. Luckily the transfer is right up to VCA’s normal high quality and there are a couple different extras that add to the overall DVD.

Note to VCA: It’s nice to see you bringing this series out on DVD. I hope to see more of it in the future, and hopefully without the horrible menus you seem to insist on using.

Extra Note: I recently received an e-mail from VCA regarding their menus. They decided to use the standardized main menu format after some market research made them think consumers wanted simpler, easy to follow menus, which I can understand. They realize now that although it’s a good idea, the execution wasn’t the best here and say they are now working to make them much better in their more recent releases. I have to give VCA a lot of credit here. I’ve been very critical of their menus recently, and rather than acting like they can’t make a mistake, ignoring it, and going on with business as usual, they tried to clear things up. I think somebody once said that you can tell the character of a person by how they handle their mistakes, not how they handle success, which has always made a lot of sense to me. It also speaks very well for VCA and shows that they’ve still got a lot of the class they were showing a couple years ago.
