Initial Expectations: Adam & Eve has done a pretty good job with their Premium Collection, which makes me expect a well done couples feature.

Who Should Watch It : Couples looking for very light porn

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody looking for anything more than vaginal sex between two people

Audio /Video Quality: When there isn’t any music there’s a kind of haze over the audio, kind of like wind noise even though the scenes may happen inside. The video is very clear and looks like it was give quite a bit of attention.

Music: The music has a very soft and couples feel. It’s balanced nicely although sometimes is just a hair loud.

Disc Problems / Complaints: There’s no time code included on this DVD! This is one of my biggest pet peeves since it doesn’t let you jump to any place in the feature when watching and from what I understand is very easy to put on a DVD.

Menus: The menus are fairly simple, but have a nice clip from the feature in the background. The chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a small clip from the scene.

The Feature: After going away for a few years, Monique DeMoan has come back to the apartment complex where she used to live. She’s been through a lot in the last couple years, including rehab, marriage, and a divorce. Her old girlfriend is surprised, but lets her crash on her couch, even though her husband isn’t too happy about it, until Monique can find a new place to stay. Monique has a definite history that many of the people in the apartment building seem to know a little about, but nobody knows too much. History or not, Monique is back and isn’t going to let much stand in her way.

Nick East doesn’t want to listen to Brooklyn Rhodes tell him about Monique coming back, preferring instead for her to suck on his cock. Brooklyn is a fairly good looking blonde with a nice body and a little oversized implants, but Nick’s really gotten scuzzy looking, apparently taking lessons from Tom Byron a few years ago. It also didn’t give me a good feeling at first since Ian looked like he was taking directions from off camera. I understand that things like that happen all the time, but it shouldn’t look like it’s happening. They finish it off with Shelby taking Ian’s pop on her face and sucking out the last few drops.

Rubee Tuesday, an older looking woman with auburn dyed hair and a nice and natural body, starts out getting her feet licked by Rod Fontana, who quickly works his way up to lick her bald pussy. On the Loose shows many of the problems commonly associated with “couples” style porn. The plot is very lame, having many threads but barely connecting any of them. One of the biggest complaints I hear from people who don’t like porn is that it bores them, or doesn’t do anything for their mind. On the Loose has a plot just that dead. Unfortunately, the sex is so limited that it’s fairly boring also. There’s no need to try and stop On the Loose from running free.

Extras: Bios are included for Brooklyn Rhodes, Gwen Summers, Ian Daniels, Joel Lawrence, Monique DeMoan, Nick East, Rod Fontana, Shelby Myne, and Steve Hatcher. The bios vary a little in quality, with some having a nicely written piece about the star and others being just a short listing about the star. The photo gallery is automated with about ten photos lasting five seconds apiece. The photos look good, but the mechanism feels a little clunky since it only goes at one speed. If you want to scan ahead to watch them quicker, you can’t. Trailers are included for X Professionals, All the Rave, Design for Desire, and The Real Thing. Unlike most of Adam & Eve’s releases as of late, there isn’t a menu system here to let you pick and choose the trailer you want to see. Instead you get a screen listing the production date for the trailers and then get to watch them one after another. It doesn’t feel nearly as nice as the menu system did. There’s also web links.

Finally, there’s a twelve minute bonus scene between Renee LaRue and Shaena Steele from Once a Year. Shaena breaks out a vibe from her purse and then sets it aside after Renee suggests that they have quite a bit to do before needing it. Overall: Normally, Adam & Eve’s Premium Collection features such as On The Loose can be found online for between about $15 and $25 with quite a few stores offering it for under $20. Unless you’re only interested in vaginal couples sex, there’s no reason to pay anywhere close to this. The transfer and extras are above average, but the feature is average at best.

Note to Adam & Eve: A little more effort would have made this into a much better DVD, even if I didn’t care for the feature. A time stamp is pretty much considered a must in current DVDs, and the trailers and photo gallery both felt like they were sloppily done. It wouldn’t have taken much more work to make this a better DVD and one that deserved the “Premium Collection” label much more than this did.
