The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are nicely done. The audio is clear and well balanced, and I didn't notice any background noises. The video is presented in the full frame format, and also looks very nice. There's a few darker areas and a little minor motion, but all in all, this one looks and sounds just like the late night reality TV shows which inspired it.

Music: There's a little music here and there, and it's always well balanced with the rest of the audio

Authoring Complaints: To start with, there isn't a full time stamp here that lets the viewer go directly to any point in the movie. This is made worse by a complex series of titles on the DVD where one can't even try jumping ahead to specific chapters. The chapter menu on the DVD is about the only chance one has of getting to specific scenes, which just seems to make the authoring and DVD navigation complicated without any reason. I'm deducting a half point because of this authoring.

Menus: The main menu works together a clip from the movie with a bit of the logo for an okay first impression. The chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and the name of the couples involved.

The Feature

When it comes to reality shows, especially those of the late night variety, there's nothing that's really off limits. In fact, two couples meeting and hooking up to trade partners for sex seems almost tame...

Scene 1 – Nicki Hunter, Sarah Sunn, Josh Hunter, and Justin

The Hunters and the Sunns each talk about being married, how they met, and what they love about each other. When the couples come together in the bedroom, Nicki and Sarah quickly come together with a kiss and start sucking each other's tits while talking dirty to their men. This is a pretty good scene. Nicki easily dominates the scene, which gives the scene a bit of a lopsided feel that's very hard to avoid. Both girls, however, do a nice job taking on their new man and the action moves aDude at a nice pace while being decently captured. There's is a slightly amateurish feeling to the scene that helps with the reality aspect of the scene, but having well known porn stars really threw the reality aspect out the window for me a few times. Still, this is a nice start to the movie and ha a lot going for it.

Scene 2 – Abbey Brooks, Fayth DeLuca, Naudia Nyce, and Scott Lyons

Dirty blonde lesbians Abbey and Fayth (who's “never been with a man before”) hook up with trashy couple Nadia and Scott even though Nadia's “never thought of being with a woman before”. This is a pretty good scene. Nadia Nyce very rarely does anything for me, and that doesn't really change here. Fayth and Abbey, however, almost completely make up for it with each of them being darn cute with a great body. There's very nice chemistry around the entire scene to the point of Nadia's comments about it being her first lesbian experience are almost comical (not that Fayth's first time with a dick is much better, but at least she's attractive). My biggest complaint here is that rather than having Fayth take the pop here, Scott's “real wife” Nadia takes it. This is a pretty good scene, and I think it would have worked even better with somebody other than Nadia in it.

Scene 3 – Ms. Platinum, Sindy Lange, Lee Bang, and Nick East

Lee starts things out introducing his “wife” Platinum (who's name he can't seem to remember) before they meet up with bottle blonde Sindy and her now scary looking “hubby” Nick. This is another nice scene. There's good chemistry in both groups and the interracial aspect added another nice level to the movie. The reality porn aspect is played very well here, and I like that the end of the scene showed some conflicting thoughts on the experience rather than having everybody wanting to jump right back in. This is a pretty good scene that adds a little more depth to this release.

This is another scene that keeps the style the same while varying enough details that the scene stands apart nicely from the others in this release.

Wife Switch 2 is a nicely done reality porno. Yes, there's going to take a little bit of brainwashing with how recognizable some of the porn people are as “real couples try swapping for the first time”, but they all play into their roles well. You get plenty of different attitudes, and even more impressive, more situations, while it all keeps the late night reality show style right down to bringing confessions into the middle of the scene. This isn't all just white couple swap with white couple, as you get interracial couples, black and white couples, and even a lesbian couple in the mix to spice things up. The openings aren't rushed, but that isn't a bad thing here as it gives you a chance to get to “know” each couple before they get it on. In addition to an attitude that feels like it's right out of today's late night reality TV, the camera work is right there too. The down side for me here is that there were many times where I just couldn't get past this being porn stars rather than amateurs even though I fully knew it going in. I mean, Nick East and Alex Sanders? They were well known well over a decade ago and here Alex is featured on the cover. There is some nice fresh talent mixed in, but the older talent just tweaked a mood I was on the edge of watching this that made it possibly the wrong porno choice for the night. The reality TV aspect also interfered for me slightly by interrupting the sex for confessions by the people fucking, which is a bit of a catch-22 as it does add a lot to the style. Although it had a few things that didn't work for me, if you wish the late night reality shows would just take the three baby steps into porn, Wife Switch 2 should be just what you need to see.

The Extra Stuff

Trailers are included for twelve of Pink Visual's series. There's also a seven minute behind the scenes featurette from a different movie and ads.

A four and a quarter minute strip tease segment with Venessa is also included. I've been liking a lot of what I've seen with Jonalungus behind the camera, and this scene is no different. I'm not a big fan of orgy scenes as I always seem to want more of whatever couple isn't being focused on, and that's true to a point here as well. At the same time, Jonalungus moves around so much that you rarely have to wait Dude to see much of any group but many times it's just a short flash (especially if you're a fan of Gianna Lynn as I am). There's a good mix to the action and plenty of swapping around here, but the ending is very sharp and left me wondering how much of the scene I missed due to it ending as soon as Sophia took her facial. This isn't a bad scene, but it didn't do too much for me just due to my not caring much for orgy scenes.

Currently, many of Pink Visual's DVDs can be found online for between about $15 and $20. If you wish that late night reality TV would jump into porn, this one should be right up your alley. The sex has a nice variety, and there's some good chemistry throughout the movie. The technical aspects are nicely done, and there's a bit of effort put into the extras even though none of it is unique to this release. This isn't too bad of a DVD.

Note to Pink Visual: If you're going to include extras like behind the scenes featurettes, please make sure they're for the release they're included on. Also, your authoring could definitely be improved to make navigating the DVD easier. As is, the authoring brings the DVD down a bit and feels like somebody didn't quite know what they're doing.
