Review:
Far less gritty and far more cheesecake than John Leslie's 1987 original, Nightshift Nurses 2 from director Jim Holliday and VCA is nonetheless still smoking hot. Shot nearly a decade after the original, Holliday offers up his own take on Leslie's seminal vision, extending it and adding into the mix his own personal touches. Indeed, all of the hallmarks of a mid-90s Jim Holliday production are present: a massive cast of who's who in the adult industry of the era, a never-ending cascade of female flesh on full display, and a lighthearted approach that rubs off on the production's sex scenes, as well as driving its storyline. While not as intricate as it could be, nor fully in the style of the initial entry in the series (despite some flashbacks and overt tie-ins), this release still easily holds its own...even 25+ years later.
The highlights include the opening sequence, which finds a doctor, Anthony, "treating" a petite and stunning nurse who's not feeling well, Shayla LaVeaux, at the hospital. Of course, the treatment starts with a thin, mercury thermometer slipped into the lovely Ms. LaVeaux's backside...and ends with a solid butt-fucking and a sloppy pop-shot that fills up her mini-gape. So hot!
Also scorching is the all-girl, toy-infused lezzy-fest that follows the nurses (Sindee Coxx, Misty Rain, Felecia, Caressa Savage, and Kim Kitaine) confronting their boss and head doctor, the perky and perfect Juli Ashton. Taking place in the lobby, this one is girl-on-girl chaos at its finest!
Juli Ashton strikes again in another highlight, this time taking a mental patient, Sean Rider, into his holding room and fucking his brains out. Nothing sets the mind straight quite like poking a true pretty in the pooper, as Rider quickly finds out. Nice!
The remainder of the scenes are no slouches, either, bringing Holliday's take on John Leslie's original work full circle. For those interested in the mid-90s adult film industry, fans of the first installment in the series, and/or those looking for a slew of hot girls all in one release, this fine, little fuck-flick is most certainly worth checking out.
