Review brief: Despite her virginal demeanor, Debbie (Nancy Hoffman) always finds herself in odd, borderline-coercive sexual situations...and it always seems to be her hot-to-trot, best-friend's, Marla Strangelove's (Dianne Dale's), fault. Bite, The (VCX)
Release date: 11/4/2003
Reviewed on: 9/9/2017
Studio: VCX
Starring: Eric Edwards, Sonny Landham, Alan Marlow, Jennifer Jordan, Hardy Harrison
Directed by: Jerry Denby
Review brief: It's all about sex, lies, and money (...and more so about the money...) when two conmen, Alan Marlow and Eric Edwards, and a streetwise hitchhiker whom they pick up along the way, Jennifer Jordan, set up a rich "mark" to not only buy worthless stock in a factory but to also purchase his way into a bordello that doesn't actually exist. Of course, their plans are intricate, including temporarily setting up the faux-brothel, and involve as much pussy as they do persuasion. Whether it will all go off without a hitch or whether it will fall in around their ears is the question of the day. Such is the case in "The Bite", an overall-good, 1975 release from VCX and director Jerry Denby.

Summer In Heat
Release date: 12/10/2003
Reviewed on: 9/3/2017
Studio: VCX
Starring: Jamie Gillis, Jack Wrangler, John Leslie, Desiree Cousteau, Juliet Anderson, Clair Dia, Jesse Adams, Delania Raffino, Kathy Kaufman, Ron Meyers, Stanley Cohen
Directed by: Christy McCabe
Review brief: A fireside conversation between two lovers, Jamie Gillis and Delania Raffino, and the suggestion of a trip to Lake Shasta prompts the latter of the pair to recount a story from times past, when she last visited the lake with her ex-husband and Senator, Jack Wrangler. Of course, the trip was anything but typical, as it involved all manner of horny high-jinks, two of the participants--including Raffino herself--getting seriously lost, an assortment of awkward moments and interactions, and...finally...a trio of "protestors" intent on taking hostages and raping members of the party. This outlandish, fictitious trip is the primary focus of the film "Summer in Heat", an overall-good, 1979 release from VCX and director Alex DeRenzy.

Corporate Assets (VCX)
Release date: 8/30/2004
Reviewed on: 9/2/2017
Studio: VCX
Starring: Misty Rain, Shelby Stevens, Alex Sanders, Amber Lynn, Tamara Longley, Paul Thomas, Vince Vouyer, Jamie Gillis, Brittany O'Connell, Nicole Lace, Helen Duval, Nick Random, Eric Edwards, Rachel Ashley, Harry Reems, William Margold, Sheri St. Clair, R. Bolla, Robert Bullock, Francois Papillon, Herschel Savage, Tish Ambrose, Stephanie Bradley
Directed by: Thomas Paine
Review brief: It's a dark and lonely world for a corporate prostitute, Tish Ambrose, who, despite having all of her material needs met and then some, only finds true happiness in the letters of a mentally troubled war buddy, Eric Edwards, of her deceased brother. Indeed, Tish appears to have it all as the longstanding head-lady of R. Bolla's cadre of corporate cuties, who provide sexual services to both the better employees of his firm and corrupt politicians alike, yet her heart yearns to quench its emptiness. It's solely Edwards' writings that can fill this void, so it's with great happiness that she greets him when he finally gets up the courage to surprise her with a visit. Of course, this doesn't sit well with Bolla, her boss, whose strong-arm tactics clash with the pair's feelings for one another violently. How it will all end up--happily or in blood...or both--remains the unanswered question of the day. Such is the case in "Corporate Assets", an exceptional, 1985 release.

Directed by: Svetlana, David Frazer
Review brief: It's horny hi-jinks on the high seas when two dudes who are more desperate than they are smart, Randy West and Turk Lyon, hatch the brilliant plan of masquerading as women aboard an all-female cruise...just in the slim hopes of getting some action. Of course, just as their luck would have it, most of the women (...at least those whom they aren't molesting against their wills...) are more than happy to come upon some beef in their otherwise fish market of a vacation, and the ploy works. (Besides, it's always helpful to have a couple of brawny transvestites around when a bunch of pirates show up to spoil everyone's good time, right?) Such is the case in "Sexboat", a very good, 1980 release from Svetlana, David I. Frazer, and VCX.

Review brief: A disinterested, sports-obsessed, young woman (Melanie Scott) finds herself entangled in a web of lies and deceit when she tells her horny neighbor (Tom Byron) that she's been sleeping with the local stud (Steve Douglas) in response to him taunting her. Of course, initially, she tries to get Douglas to go along with the whole thing--which he does--all while keeping things platonic. Review brief: Sex, swinging, and all types of erotic fun result when John Holmes, who's having an affair on his wife, finds his yellow jeep stolen whilst out shopping one day. The automobile's ultimate path back to him bounces it from one sexy scenario to another, serving as a mechanism for conveying the sex and giving the viewer more than an eyeful. Such is the case in the decent, though plot-light, porn flick of yesteryear, "Heat of the Moment".

Making matters worse is the impact that it all has upon the budding romance of the film's star-crossed lovers, "Bobby" (from one family) and the lovely Virginia Winters (from the other). Of course, plenty of sexual high-jinks ensue as the fiasco unfolds, with--in true country kinkin' style--everyone ending up throwing the ho down with everyone else. Of course, this being a porno, those odd jobs all end up possessing a strong sexual component, and Tina ultimately finds herself on the path toward the world of adult films. Whether she'll find success, true love, or even true lust there remains fully up in the air and is the question of the day. Such is the case in this very good, 1971 release from Freddie Williams and VCX that offers up a young Tina Russell in her prime, along with a distinctly early-70's pornographic vibe...all done to excellent effect.

Complicating matters is the fact that their lifestyle has bled over into their family life and has even led to Kecia's involvement in some of the fun. Whether Kecia will ultimately get to stay in her happy (...albeit horny...) home, or whether she'll be ripped away from all that she knows and loves (...perhaps too much...) remains the question of the day. Review brief: Everyone's getting balled and having a ball when a fortune teller, Ms. Sandy Hill, gazes into her... well... crystal ball, of course. Such is the case in "Gypsy Ball", a decent, 1980 release from VCX that uses the sultry soothsayer and her visions as a means of connecting a variety of otherwise-disconnected (...and ridiculously overdubbed...) scenes.

Review brief: When a sex club owner finds himself on a losing streak and owing his bookie a ton of dough, he has little choice but to spice up the offerings at his erotic establishment. Fortunately, by twisting the arm of a musical talent agent who owes him rent money, he's able to land a down-on-their-luck couple/act that's willing to add sex to their performance repertoire. Such is the case in "The Live Show", an overall-good, 1979 release from VCX and director Young Lee.

Review brief: It's all about loving 'em and leaving 'em when the smooth-talking John Leslie's over-the-top, male strip review, which is aiming for the stars but mired on the bottom, finds its way to a cowpoke town in the middle of nowhere. Indeed, the guys are born for the road, whether they realize it or not (...or like it or not...), and the fanciful ladies of the little berg are ultimately left feeling the repercussions in the wake of their unabashed, testosterone-fueled tide. Such is the case in "The Dancers", a very good, 1981 release from VCX and director Anthony Spinelli.

Review brief: The virginally naive Candy Christian (played by the blonde bombshell, Carol Connors) unwittingly embarks upon the sexual adventure of a lifetime when her father ends up in the hospital after catching her getting it on with the hired help. Thereafter, Candy finds herself bumbling her way from one end of the country to the other, being taken advantage of by strangers, doctors, a cult leader, and even family members along the way. Fortunately for her (...and the viewer, as well...), she's more or less too ditzy to realize any of it and simply goes along for the sexy ride. Such is the case in the "Erotic Adventures of Candy", a very good, 1978 release from VCX and director Gail Palmer.
