Review:
It's all about sex, lies, and money (...and more so about the money...) when two conmen, Alan Marlow and Eric Edwards, and a streetwise hitchhiker whom they pick up along the way, Jennifer Jordan, set up a rich "mark" to not only buy worthless stock in a factory but to also purchase his way into a bordello that doesn't actually exist. Of course, their plans are intricate, including temporarily setting up the faux-brothel, and involve as much pussy as they do persuasion. Whether it will all go off without a hitch or whether it will fall in around their ears is the question of the day. Such is the case in "The Bite", an overall-good, 1975 release from VCX and director Jerry Denby. Featuring a 1930's feel, complete with period-authentic sets and automobiles, this flick truly elicits the mood of its time. Helping this along, though likely inadvertently, is the somewhat-faded nature of the film itself...despite the fact that its resolution is actually fairly good. Acting-wise, the cast does a solid job, as well, as the characters are believable and manage to give an impression of the era reminiscent to that seen in similarly situated mainstream flicks. The cast does a good job in bringing the whole endeavor to life. Unfortunately, the fucking itself is probably the weakest point of the film, as much of the sex isn't as explicit as it might otherwise be, and it doesn't typically generate erotic heat the way that one might hope. It's not bad, of course, it's just not great. As such--and all things considered--fans of features and films portraying the era will likely want to check this one out. Those looking for steamy sex may well end up a bit disappointed and may want to look elsewhere for their X-rated needs.

In terms of the sex, Scene One brings together a conman, Alan Marlow, and Helen Madigan in a tiny bed in a rundown room with a record player playing and a couple of stuffed animals on the dresser. Not much actually happens here sexually. In Scene Two, Alan Marlow and a lovely hitchhiker, Jennifer Jordan, who's no stranger to the con game herself, get it on in their Toledo hotel room. Partway through, Eric Edwards, a fellow conman and buddy of Alan's, interrupts them and joins the fray. The material is softcore up until this point, but then goes hard, with Jennifer blowing both guys, Eric fucking her, and Alan popping a load on his own stomach. Scene Three has Jennifer Jordan taking on the role of a prostitute as part of a con with the guys...and thereby dressing the part and giving Bob Balhatchet a quick BJ to completion in his room. In Scene Four, Sonny Landham, playing the part of an oil tycoon, samples pretty much all of the ladies at the faux-bordello, including Ginger Snaps, Andrea True, Sherry Cass, and Rita Davis...all at the same time. Andrea only receives head from Landham, whilst two of the other ladies end up blowing him, and at least one of them winds up fucking him...which culminates in a pop-shot on her tummy. In Scene Five, a prostitute at the brothel, Sherry Cass, and Ken Cass bang it out orally and vaginally upon a curtained bed, while Scene Six brings together Marlene Foster and Jamie Gillis at the establishment. In this latter sequence, Marlene sucks and fucks Gillis in a handful of positions before he ejaculates on her face and chest. In Scene Seven, Jennifer Jordan gives a quick BJ to the "mark" through a glorified, silk-lined glory hole at the house of ill repute. The ending here is cleverly funny and finishes off the flick well.
