review from 11/8/2017:
A Woman's Torment is an excellent horror/adult hybrid film from writer/director Roberta Findlay. Findlay does a great job of the complex balance of horror and sex within A Woman's Torment and Tara Chung is excellent in the lead role. Fans of the genre should not let this film pass them by and Vinegar Syndrome has done an excellent job with their Blu-ray/DVD combination package release of A Woman's Torment with absolutely beautiful audio and video quality. Roberta Findlay was one of a few female directors who worked on hardcore films. Although her films are nothing exceptional, her unique style and passion for violence make her films unique in the annals of 70s hardcore. [read the full review]

If you are curious to see an early feature length adult film you might want to give this title a rent, however I wouldn't advise purchasing the film unless you know that you like it. For the films age, the transfer here is better than expected, so viewers shouldn't be disappointed. Viewers who are looking for a film with a full story or full sex scenes should skip this title. review from 1/11/2016:
Anyone But My Husband is an enjoyable comedy to come from Roberta Findlay. The sex is great, the cast does a good job, and the film is funny. Alpha Blue Archives has done a decent job with the release, the majority of the master comes from a good print and the missing portions come from a beat up video. [read the full review]

review from 1/3/2016:
A frustrated and depressed housewife, C.J. Laing, finds herself on a slippery, sexual slope when she acts upon the advice of her therapist and begins to cheat on her sleazy, uninterested husband. Such is the case in "Anyone But My Husband", a very good, 1975 release from Alpha Blue Archives and Roberta Findlay. [read the full review]

review from 9/9/2017:
It's all about sex, lies, and money (...and more so about the money...) when two conmen, Alan Marlow and Eric Edwards, and a streetwise hitchhiker whom they pick up along the way, Jennifer Jordan, set up a rich "mark" to not only buy worthless stock in a factory but to also purchase his way into a bordello that doesn't actually exist. Of course, their plans are intricate, including temporarily setting up the faux-brothel, and involve as much pussy as they do persuasion. Whether it will all go off without a hitch or whether it will fall in around their ears is the question of the day. Such is the case in "The Bite", an overall-good, 1975 release from VCX and director Jerry Denby. [read the full review]

review from 5/21/2006:
The Bite is not as it seems. Originally released in theatres as The Big Con, the film resurfaced a year or so later, re-titled THE BITE, as a means to cash in on the success of The Sting. Although the two films share similar plot elements, The Bite takes a far more lyrical and comedic touch to the subject matter That said, I'll spare you a major plot summary, other than to say the film involves a few 1930s crooks who decide to con a banker into buying a brothel. The Bite (or The Big Con) is an amusing, if not outright fun hardcore romp from 1974. The cast, among them Sara Nicholson, Alan Marlo, Robert Everett, and future disco star Andrea True all provide fine acting performances. The direction (by ex-nudie filmmaker Jerry Denby who also directed the excellent Whatever Happened To Miss September?) is strong and the film as a whole has much higher production values than most at the time. The film as a whole feels like a well made nudie film, which makes the explicit sex quite annoying much of the time. [read the full review]

classic connoisseur's
review from 1/20/2003:
Length: 84 minutes Year: 1980 The Budding of Brie starring Hillary Summers revolves around the story of her and how she screws her way to the top in Hollywood and becomes a big star. This is a very classy looking film and looks like it had a very high budget. One thing I didn't like about the sex scenes was the excessive talking during them especially because they only had rather stupid things to say to each other. If they had had sexy things to say then it would have been ok but as it was this did not help the film. The video quality of this film is great as is the audio quality of this dvd. VCA has done a great job. I have bought a few VCA dvd's and have been impressed with all of them in terms of audio and video quality. There is a commentary track included with Jim Holliday and Shayla LaVeaux although this is not as informative as on some of the other classic VCA dvd's as neither of them was involved with the making of this film.
