Review brief: Chronicling the rise of a Senatorial candidate and anti-porn crusader (by convenience), whose come-from-behind victory startles the nation and whose horny hi-jinks both highlight his hypocrisy and entertain the audience, "All the Senator's Girls" finds itself an overall-good, 1977 release from VCX and director En Cognito.

Review brief: A hot, young secretary, Mariwin Roberts, has just been to Hawaii, where she found true love (...or at least lust...) in the arms of her hang-gliding driver, Gary Roberts, in "Pet of the Month", a decent, 1977 release from director Herbert Douglas and VCX.

Review brief: A horny, young, European maid, Connie Peterson, finds herself passed around, used, and abused by just about everyone with whom she comes in contact in America...and she wouldn't have it any other way. Whether her true lust will ultimately lead to true love--or whether she'll remain relegated to the carnal corners of life--remains the yearning question of the day. Such is the case in "Little French Maid", an overall-good, 1981 release from VCX and director Adele Robbins.

Review brief: A trio of women out on the prowl (...one a virgin, one an adventurer, and the other a whore...), a hard-drinking, easy-fucking barfly, a jilted waitress and her former lover who left her for the boss's unfaithful niece, and myriad other colorful characters all collide in an NYC, pick-up bar...and the result is as dark and unfulfilling as its fucking is raunchy and sexy. Such is the case in "Nasty Girls", a very good, 1983 release from VCX and director Henri Pachard.

Studio: VCX

Starring: Don Fernando, Blair Harris, Dale Meador, Tracy O'Neil, Victoria Winter, Candida Royalle, Virginia Winter, Dianne Dale
Directed by: Charles De Santos

Review brief: It's all about the redneck rompin' and the backwoods boffin' as two fornicating families of horny hillbillies rekindle an old, chicken-stealing feud when the son-in-law of one clan is caught rolling in the hay with the hot-pants daughter of the other. Making matters worse is the impact that it all has upon the budding romance of the film's star-crossed lovers, "Bobby" (from one family) and the lovely Virginia Winters (from the other). Of course, plenty of sexual high-jinks ensue as the fiasco unfolds, with--in true country kinkin' style--everyone ending up throwing the ho down with everyone else. Such is the case in "The Liberation of Honeydoll Jones", a surprisingly good, 1977 release from director Carlos DeSantos and VCX.

Sensuous Vixens

Release date: 5/21/2009
Reviewed on: 9/2/2016

Studio: VCX

Starring: Harry Reems, Tina Russell, Barbara Smith, Linda Van Imp, Charles Caldwell
Directed by: Freddie Williams

Review brief: "Sensuous Vixens" chronicles the life of a young woman (played by the "original porn star" herself, the lovely Tina Russell) who moved to New York City at an early age and who bounces from odd job to odd job in trying to find both her place and her way in the world. Of course, this being a porno, those odd jobs all end up possessing a strong sexual component, and Tina ultimately finds herself on the path toward the world of adult films. Whether she'll find success, true love, or even true lust there remains fully up in the air and is the question of the day. Such is the case in this very good, 1971 release from Freddie Williams and VCX that offers up a young Tina Russell in her prime, along with a distinctly early-70's pornographic vibe...all done to excellent effect.

Review brief: Georgina Spelvin's husband's decision to leave her for a younger woman and to sell their home, coupled with a daughter who has run away and is nowhere to be found, sends her headlong into a journey of self-discovery that begins with nostalgia but quickly devolves into a darker sexuality. Such is the case in Gerard Damiano's "For Richer For Poorer", an overall-good, 1979 release from VCX.

Starring: John Holmes, Annette Haven, Jon Martin, John Seeman, Abigail Clayton, Desiree West, Ray Wells, Tyler Reynolds, Kent Hall, Kristine Heller, Angela Haze, Sandy Pinney, Jeff Lyle, Ebenezer K. Bartholomu
Directed by: Godfrey Daniels

Review brief: It's a wacky, porny walk back through history as a scraggly, aged narrator (Ebenezer K. Bartholomu) rewrites the early American story to include all manner of sexual encounters involving some of its most beloved figures in "Spirit of Seventy Sex". A very good, 1976 release from VCX and director Godfrey Daniels, this remastered film offers up the likes of George and Martha Washington, Ben Franklin, Paul Revere, John Smith, and so on in a variety of goofy, satire-laced, often intentionally anachronistic romps that ultimately come off as fun, clever, and tongue-in-cheek as they do sexy.

Studio: VCX

Starring: Ashley Dubois, Kecia Kane, Leila Harris, Marsha Cossel, Nancy Franklin, Nancy Keller, David Fine, Michael Muir, Ralph Carl, Ronny Morgan
Directed by: Ernest Danna

Review brief: It spells serious trouble for a swinger mother (Leila Harris) and step-father (David Fine) when Leila's ex (Guy Thomas) reenters the picture and threatens to take custody of their barely-legal daughter (Kecia Kane). Complicating matters is the fact that their lifestyle has bled over into their family life and has even led to Kecia's involvement in some of the fun. Whether Kecia will ultimately get to stay in her happy (...albeit horny...) home, or whether she'll be ripped away from all that she knows and loves (...perhaps too much...) remains the question of the day. Such is the case in "Like Mother, Like Daughter", a decent, 1973 release from VCX and director Ernest Danna.

Directed by: Fred J. Lincoln

Review brief: When a young woman, played by Dorothy LeMay, catches her boyfriend red-handed (...and red-dicked...) cheating upon her on their anniversary, she decides that she's had enough and that she's going to hitchhike her way to San Francisco to become a star. Of course, it's just her "luck" that she finds herself in the hands of a talent agent with a pervy formula for success along the way. What ensues is a tawdry tale of tail, as Dorothy puts out for--and is pimped out to--client upon big-shot client. Whether sucking cock will ultimately lead her to the top...or, instead, to utter despair...remains to be seen. Such is the case in "Formal Faucett", an overall-good, 1978 release from VCX and director F.J. Lincoln.

Review brief: "The Best of VCX Classics 2 (Trailers)" is, as its name would imply, a compilation of vintage adult previews and teasers from the company's Golden Age. Having been one of the larger companies of the era, VCX certainly has some of the cream of the crop (crotch?), as well as a significant breadth of lesser-known titles, in its historical library, and what's presented here nicely demonstrates this fact.

Review brief: Everyone's getting balled and having a ball when a fortune teller, Ms. Sandy Hill, gazes into her... well... crystal ball, of course. Such is the case in "Gypsy Ball", a decent, 1980 release from VCX that uses the sultry soothsayer and her visions as a means of connecting a variety of otherwise-disconnected (...and ridiculously overdubbed...) scenes.

Review brief: It's all about loving 'em and leaving 'em when the smooth-talking John Leslie's over-the-top, male strip review, which is aiming for the stars but mired on the bottom, finds its way to a cowpoke town in the middle of nowhere. Indeed, the guys are born for the road, whether they realize it or not (...or like it or not...), and the fanciful ladies of the little berg are ultimately left feeling the repercussions in the wake of their unabashed, testosterone-fueled tide. Review brief: The virginally naive Candy Christian (played by the blonde bombshell, Carol Connors) unwittingly embarks upon the sexual adventure of a lifetime when her father ends up in the hospital after catching her getting it on with the hired help. Thereafter, Candy finds herself bumbling her way from one end of the country to the other, being taken advantage of by strangers, doctors, a cult leader, and even family members along the way. Fortunately for her (...and the viewer, as well...), she's more or less too ditzy to realize any of it and simply goes along for the sexy ride. Review brief: It's like a totally awesome time, for sure, like ya' know... when a pair of 1980's LA dykes lose their source of income and opt to pimp out a local group of valley girls as a means of making ends meet. Of course the girls, who are totally tubular tarts to begin with, are all down for it, especially needing money to buy clothes at the mall and all, which is like having a super rad sale. Indeed, the sons' wives are boffing the help, one another's husbands, and even each other...likewise, the sons themselves are balls-deep in pussy...and none of this even takes into account the horny adventures of the family's barely-legal granddaughter, whose blonde ass gets its own sizeable share of the action. Review brief: An already-bereft, World War 2 Navy man, John Holmes, finds himself stranded and fending for himself on a near-deserted island in the South Pacific after his ship goes down out at sea. Compounding his problems, he soon discovers that he's not alone in this "paradise", as the Nazis have set up a small, nearby radio-monitoring camp staffed by a pervy, lushy letch of a commander and his two carnal-crazy fraulein underlings. Of course, their budding relationship isn't without its immediate hardships, as Marlene informs Roger of a contest in the magazine that has her as its prize and her unwillingness, due to her integrity, to pull out of it.
