Jackpot Review

Review:
Things get hot, heavy, and dangerous as an obnoxious, spoiled brat, played by Lisa Marks, recounts the sordid tale of how she came into her wealth to a male prostitute whom she's hired in "Jackpot", a decent, 1980 release from VCX and company. In what appears to actually be a reworked older release ("The Venus Trap" from the mid-70's), with the Marks scenes thrown in later and interspersed into the primary storyline (...generally to poor effect...), this film offers up the story of a maid, her female mistress (the lovely Sharon Thorpe), and their associate who concoct and enact a plot to bilk the mistress's rich hubby out of a fortune whilst simultaneously putting him in the ground (literally). Of course, sex, arrogance, and subterfuge all play a part in their plan, and there's more than one twist and turn along the way before all's said and done, as well. With this fairly intricate and engrossing plot (for the primary storyline) locked up and complemented by steamy enough sex, this film would have earned a higher rating had the Lisa Marks material simply been left out and the original left intact and unblemished. While there's certainly nothing wrong with Ms. Marks or her sexual performance, per se, her character's interjection into the story--in a sort of present/flashback kind of way--simply seems contrived, silly, and unnecessary. Further, while the original material is serious and well-acted, the Marks scenes are over-acted and not horribly serious. In essence, it's as though this film consists of two adult films--a good one and part of a crappy one that must be endured--duct-taped together into one half-assed mess. For those who can get around this obvious misstep and cherry-pick the good from the bad, there's still something solid to be seen here. Those who choose to do so, however, should just be sure to recognize what they'll be in for in advance.

In terms of the sex, Scene One finds the insatiable, rich-bitch brunette, Lisa Marks, fucking a male prostitute, Richard Stevens, for whom she's overpaying in her room. Her shrill rantings are enough to send shivers up one's spine (oral, vaginal ; pop on her ass out of doggy). In Scene Two, Sharon Thorpe masturbates for Tyler Reynolds before she blows him to completion in a wood-framed hot tub surrounded by tropical vegetation (oral ; she sucks and jerks a facial out of him). Scene Three has Sharon's and Tyler's brunette maid, Rochelle Belle, masturbating a bit in the back of their antique car whilst hitting the bottle as the prior sequence continues on and the next plays forth in her mind. In Scene Four, Sharon and Rochelle, as part of the latter's masturbatory fantasy, get it on in the backseat of the car (fingers and tongues). Scene Five is a continuation of the first, with Lisa and Richard still going at it (pussy-eating). In Scene Six, Sharon and her maid, Rochelle, get into some finger action in the kitchen, while Tyler and a male friend, Theodore Dryer, play pinball. Scene Seven offers up more of Lisa and Richard in a further continuation of the opening sequence (69'ing ; apparent cum-shot in her mouth), while in Scene Eight, Tyler wins Theodore's wife, Deborah Brast, in a high-stakes poker game and fucks her right in front of his own wife, Sharon, and her husband on a nearby pool table (oral, vaginal ; no-hands pop on her bush and tummy). Scene Nine pairs up Sharon and Rochelle again, this time in bed for some celebratory, girl-on-girl action (fingers, tongues). In Scene Ten, Lisa and Richard finish up with a touch of wine bottle insertion and some pussy-eating.
