Gypsy Ball review summaries:
fu_q's
Everyone's getting balled and having a ball when a fortune teller, Ms. Sandy Hill, gazes into her... well... crystal ball, of course. Such is the case in "Gypsy Ball", a decent, 1980 release from VCX that uses the sultry soothsayer and her visions as a means of connecting a variety of otherwise-disconnected (...and ridiculously overdubbed...) scenes. Live Show, The review summaries:
fu_q's
When a sex club owner finds himself on a losing streak and owing his bookie a ton of dough, he has little choice but to spice up the offerings at his erotic establishment. Fortunately, by twisting the arm of a musical talent agent who owes him rent money, he's able to land a down-on-their-luck couple/act that's willing to add sex to their performance repertoire. Such is the case in "The Live Show", an overall-good, 1979 release from VCX and director Young Lee. [read the full review]

Best Of VCX Classics, The (Trailers) review summaries:
fu_q's
"The Best of VCX Classics (Trailers)" is, as its name would imply, a compilation of vintage adult previews and teasers from the company's Golden Age. Having been one of the larger companies of the era, VCX certainly has some of the cream of the crop (crotch?), as well as a significant breadth of lesser-known titles, in its historical library, and what's presented here nicely demonstrates this fact. Please... Mr. Postman (Caballero) review summaries:
fu_q's
Giving the phrase "going postal" a whole new meaning, it's one special delivery after another when Loni Sanders, a mailwoman who's as horny as she is committed to her job, takes care of both co-workers and clients alike along her route in "Please... Mr. Postman". A fairly good, 1981 release from Caballero and director Louis Lewis, this flick finds both Ms. Sanders, as well as her customers, partaking in all manner of mail-inspired, sexual mayhem. Dominatrix Without Mercy (Alpha Blue Archives) review summaries:
Flash's
Dominatrix Without Mercy is a roughie that was made by Shaun Costello for the Avon cinema chain. This isn't one of the better roughies to have been made during the 70s, with no real plot just the gritty sex. Alpha Blue Archives has done a decent job with the release with the transfer coming from an actual film print. [read the full review]

Shauna Grant: The Early Years review summaries:
fu_q's
What can be said about Shauna Grant? A young starlet from Minnesota who took the industry by storm in the early 1980's, it was her untimely passing, apparently at her own hands, that truly rocked the porn world and beyond. Indeed, her life became the subject of a made-for-TV movie, a documentary, news pieces and articles, and so on. Clearly, her situation ended in tragedy, and it shouldn't be forgotten. Still, Ms. Grant did make a number of adult films that can serve as a fine way for her fans to remember the blonde beauty of yesteryear. Herein, I review one of them, a compilation actually, "Shauna Grant: The Early Years", from VCX. [read the full review]

Confessions Of A Woman review summaries:
Oddobsessionmovies'
Anthony Spinelli had a thing for hookers. Well, at least he had a thing for making movies which involve prostitution. By far the best of these "hooker dramas" was his 1976 masterpiece, Cry For Cindy, which was as far as I am concerned, the very first attempt to actually deal with prostitution in a hardcore film. Confessions, made the same year as the far superior V-The Hot One, is another one of Spinelli's hooker dramas, but a far less successful one. Similarly plotted to V, Confessions involves a young woman who leaves her unsatisfactory marriage to pursue a career in prostitution. Confessions is not a bad film by any means. The direction, acting, photography, etc. are all quite good, but considering the similarity between its plot and that of the superior V, it leaves something to be desired in terms of originality... However, I still give this film a mild recommendation for it is never truly dull and actually yielded some good plot twists. SEX: Lots of it. A/V Quality: It's TVX, therefore bad. Raw Talent 3 (VCA) review summaries:
Ryder7's
Starring: Jerry Butler, Ona Zee, April & Stephanie Rage Comments: After reviewing Raw Talent II, I wasnt really looking forward to watching the third installment. Again..this is called a "classic" and I disagree with the label. Its not worthy of the title. Jerry Butler returns as "Eddie"... a guy who does porn on the side while trying to make it in mainstream. This time, he gets "tricked" into a porn flick thinking its a zombie movie. (The zombie theme is totally dropped after the opening scene) Eddie also spends his time trying to convince the upcoming porn starlet he's working with not to get involved in porn...*now, if he always went around talking girls out of porn, how would he make money being in porn if there's nobody to fuck?..yeah..I know, I'm thinking too much. The subplot involves a director (played by Ona Zee) who is reduced to mainly producing flicks for an oddball director named "Louie Latrine"... Louie likes making porn where Nazis fuck and shoot GYSERS of cum (somebody offstage throwing a bucket of milk on the girls)...Louie also has a "toilet" fetish. [read the full review]

Starring: Jerry Butler, Buck Adams, Jamie Summers, Sheena Horne & Cassandra Leigh, with a cameo by Jamie Gillis (1987) Thoughts... Just because a porn flick is from the "Golden Age" doesnt justify it the status of "Classic" This reasoning isnt allowed in mainstream and as far as I am concerned, I dont allow it in porn. There is true classic stuff to be had from the 80s; and Raw Talent II aint it. I had heard over the years about the "Raw Talent" series, but never seen any of them whilst I was discovering porn in the 80s. So when I seen this title, along with "Raw Talent III" available for review, I snatched them both up thinking I had a mini classic goldmine on my hands..heck..even "Hustler" graced the back cover with a blurb stating: "An Orgy of physical sex"! Wow..Hustler must have been paid off to say that stuff cause as far as Raw Talent II is concerned, its not true at all. [read the full review]

If it involves sucking, fucking, or exhibitionism, it's probably happening at the "Screwdriver Saloon"...or at least it used to be. An overall-good, late-80's release from Coast to Coast and Bob Vosse, this fun, little fuck-flick offers up the tale of a seedy, past-its-prime bar--now a front for prostitution--where live sex shows and all manner of debauchery were once the order of the day. A young athlete and straight-A student, Tom Byron, has but one wish for Christmas...to lose his virginity prior to moving away from home...and Michael Morrison, as Santa Claus, is intent on fulfilling it. It's love at first sight when a self-impressed writer (Roger Caine), who's too good to work for a porn publication, has a chance encounter with one of its models (Marlene Willoughby) upon storming out of the publisher's office. Of course, their budding relationship isn't without its immediate hardships, as Marlene informs Roger of a contest in the magazine that has her as its prize and her unwillingness, due to her integrity, to pull out of it. This sets into motion the frantic attempts by Roger to stop his girl from partaking, regardless of the cost. Such is the case in "Prized Possession" (a.k.a. "Prized Possessions"), an overall-good, 1978 flick from VCX and director Richard Mailer. [read the full review]

Highlighting one of the classical beauties and true sexual goddesses of the 1970's era of adult films, "The Golden Age of Porn: Serena" from Gentlemen's Video certainly delivers the goods. Indeed, despite its short running length and handful of scenes, this compilation packs a punch, providing one solid Serena sequence after another. New Barbarians, The review summaries:
fu_q's
The mischievous, barbarian chieftan, Randy Spears, and his hell-raising horde will stop at nothing to rend a powerful, magical crystal from the hands of its rightful owners in "The New Barbarian", a very good, 1990 release from VCA and Henri Pachard. With its inexplicable ability to bring about time-travel, this sexually-fueled gem is certainly a prize worth seeking...and, for Victoria Paris and her peaceful people, a prize worth protecting. A blend of sex and (mild) violence ensues, as the two groups wrestle for control of the piece. Harking back to the days of the old barbarian films of the 1980s while concomitantly mixing in that same era's pornographic charm, this one is most certainly rife with nostalgic value. The sex is also steamy...again, in that 80s style...and seeing Victoria Paris sex it up in her prime is always a welcomed occurrence. For the right crowd--fans of 80s fantasy, porno nostalgia, Victoria Paris, and / or quirky features--this one is worthy. [read the full review]

Love Secrets (VCX) review summaries:
fu_q's
John Seeman and his wife, Tracy O'Neil, have been lying to one another for years, pretending to be something that they're not, particularly as it pertains to their sexual desires. Indeed, each has decided that the other is solely interested in a "saint", while they're both secretly yearning to be sinners. When--and how--the sexual dam that holds back their wants and needs will ultimately break is anyone's guess, but one thing is for certain: break it will. Such is the case in "Love Secrets", a decent, 1976 release from VCX and Gerald Graystone. [read the full review]

It's all about loving 'em and leaving 'em when the smooth-talking John Leslie's over-the-top, male strip review, which is aiming for the stars but mired on the bottom, finds its way to a cowpoke town in the middle of nowhere. Indeed, the guys are born for the road, whether they realize it or not (...or like it or not...), and the fanciful ladies of the little berg are ultimately left feeling the repercussions in the wake of their unabashed, testosterone-fueled tide. Such is the case in "The Dancers", a very good, 1981 release from VCX and director Anthony Spinelli. [read the full review]

Seduction Of Mary, The review summaries:
T0MBOne's
THE SEDUCTION OF MARY (1992, VCA) is a rather ordinary title for what is actually an intricately woven tale of lawyer Mary Johnson (Victoria Paris) falling under the seductive spell of erotica author Marshall Solomen (Mike Horner) or does she? Director Michael Craig also gets screenwriting credit along with Leslie Black for a xxx film that actually uses the sexual situations to help advance this erotic tale to a conclusion that, although not totally satisfying, tops nearly every feature uncorked by today's major studios. Standard frame. No condoms. Few extras. 1 hour 24 minutes. [read the full review]

SuperCock, or High Fashion Models as the film was called when it originally was released, is not by any means a good film. The plot is horrible, the dialog is cringeworthy, the sex scenes are poorly shot, and the acting is bad. To top it all off, Historic Erotica's release of SuperCock is abysmal with a transfer that I would question if it is actually considered watchable that has been dumped on a DVD-R. This is an easy skip even if you are an ardent fan of the film. [read the full review]

"Sex Games" is a fun little fuck-flick from the early 80s and Caballero that features Kevin James as a young horndog who, bored with his girlfriend, turns to the newfangled technology of computer dating to sate his carnal desires. Of course, given the date of the production, "computer dating" is a totally different affair in this release when compared with what the viewer may be used to from today. Indeed, Kevin's computer is ancient, and it simply uses a dial-up modem to interact with the dating agency's computer. Regardless, he still manages to "hack" their system, create a fake profile, and use the various ladies' details that he finds as scouting reports to get them in the sack. Prologue Sean Michaels introduces a new title aimed at presenting the fine black women of porn. On the cover is Erika Kane, who looks good enough to eat. There are a couple of women who are very new to me like Nyla and Tika, but they're propped up by Jada Fire, Carmen Hayes, Jemini, and the return of Obsession. Looks like a good cast and I'm hopeful for some erotic fireworks. Erika Kane makes her way slowly down some stairs. She is a beautiful Sista with straight black hair, slim curves and gorgeous breasts. She's carrying an eight ball, which will probably be an icon for this title, and running it across her mammaries. The ball gets run up the crack of her pink pantied ass (French cut. I like.) Sean's hand cups said firm globes and he turns her to enjoy those fine tits. He's going to get as much mileage as he can out of them and the eight ball as it gets squeezed between her boobs and Sean fondles and plays. Her panties come off and Erika sinks to her knees, admiring Sean's weapon through his suit pants. [read the full review]

Miss Passion & Love Bites review summaries:
Linus'
Miss Passion and Love Bites Double Feature Directed by: Suze Randall - Initial Thoughts: Flashback time, back to the days of bush and big hair. For this disc, we take a trip back to the 80's, when Amber and Ginger Lynn were all the rage in porn, and features ruled the day. Suze Randall brings us a double feature, one movie from each of these two super babes catalogue. Miss Passion features Ginger Lynn, and is hosted by Suze Randall as "Suze Cooze" and is kind of this mix between a sexual exhibition and a porn gameshow, basically the precursor to Gonzo, with some style and costumes added. Love Bites features Amber Lynn, and is more of a traditional feature, with a focus on fantasy. Both features are cut down a bit, "Miss Passion is missing about 19 minutes and 2 scenes, Ginger and Traci and Steve Drake and Traci. "Love Bites" is missing nearly 25 minutes, and I couldn't find how many scenes since there was no good breakdown anywhere I looked. Again Traci is the reason. [read the full review]

Ugly George review summaries:

If nothing else, "Ugly George" (Global Media International films) is true to its name...ugly. Retracing some of the misdeeds of so-called Ugly George, who apparently had a raunchy, New York cable television show circa 1980, this cheesy flick offers up a variety of clips and segments from the program that touch upon a range of topics--almost all of them sophomoric and sexual. Sinfully Yours (Hollywood Video) review summaries:
Flash's
Sinfully Yours is rather standard fare to have come out of the 80s shot on video adult entertainment market. The sex scenes look good and the movie has a strong cast, however, despite masquerading as a feature the movie is essentially an all sex release. As a result, Sinfully Yours is a hard movie to recommend unless you are a fan of the stars. Hollywood Video has done a good job with their release with good video quality and decent audio but no extras. [read the full review]

In this release, Gentlemen's Video puts forth a mini-compilation of scenes featuring the incomparable Debi Diamond. Unfortunately, sound issues compromise the final three sequences of the release, dooming its potential success and watchability. [read the full review]

Depraved (Sunshine) review summaries:
Flash's
Depraved is a relatively standard compilation of scenes from unrelated adult films spanning from what looks like the 1970s through the 1990s. If random compilations are your interest, then this may be worth a watch. Otherwise, there is no real reason to pick it up, especially considering the short run time. [read the full review]

Through the Looking Glass (Video X Pix) review summaries:
fu_q's
A young heiress, played by the blonde beauty, Catharine Burgess, finds herself becoming more and more despondent, as her sexual obsession with a possessed mirror in the attic of her childhood manor grows. Of course, the mirror itself serves as a conduit to Hell, and its demonic inhabitant, played deftly by the master thespian himself, Jamie Gillis, is intent on beckoning her to the other side, where it can both own her soul and her sexuality for eternity. In so doing, it takes on the form of Catharine's deceased father, for whom her feelings are "complicated", at best, and whether she will ultimately succumb to its erotic seductions or escape from its clutches and return to a normal (albeit boring) life becomes the question of the day. Such is the case in "Through the Looking Glass", an exceptional, 1976 release from Video-X-Pix and director Jonas Middleton. [read the full review]

Debauchers review summaries:
fu_q's
Things go terribly wrong for an unsuspecting young woman, Tina Russell, when she finds herself as the key player in an "experimental film" that's been advertised in the local newspaper. Indeed, the intentions of the slovenly, rich lunatic making the film at his secluded mansion are anything but good, as he indulges in his sick and twisted desires, all at Tina's expense. Such is the case in "Debauchers", a decent, 1971 release from Video-X-Pix and director Sidney Knight. [read the full review]

Open Nightly review summaries:
DAF1740's
If only they made porn like this today! Open Nightly earns points for creativity and beautiful women with hairy pussies. It loses a bit of its luster due to picture quality and shoddy camera work. It makes me wish the contemporary style of capturing the female form had been in use back in the day. Each scene leaves you wanting to see more, which is not the most satisfying feeling when you're watching porn. [read the full review]
