Open Nightly Review

Synopsis
I bought this when I was on a Cathy Stewart kick. That slim, dark-haired French fox caught my eye in French Finishing School, and I was hoping to see more of her than the tantalizing tease offered there. My wish was partially fulfilled here, and there was enough else going on to make Open Nightly an enjoyable film from the "classic" era to watch quite a few times.

The Plot
The plot consists of an "innocence corrupted" story centered on Julia Perrin, who works as a maid at the brothel where her mother is the head whore. There's a nice build-up as Julia moves from voyeur to "assistant" to active participant, and it's hot to watch her receive instruction and willingly comply.

The Sex and the Cast
The scenes here are pretty creative, and the women are drop-dead gorgeous. I just wish I knew who everyone was so I could offer a better account. (It took me quite a while to track down Cathy's name, and I just don't have the time to do it for everyone.) To summarize, think beautiful, elegant, stocking-clad French women with natural bodies, pale skin, and hairy holes. Wow!

Scene One
We open with a full-scale orgy, where a bunch of VIPs are serviced by the brothel's stunning staff of French brunettes with beautiful hairy pussies. My main complaints about this scene are that the camera never sticks on a particular couple long enough, and there's not enough close-ups of the female form. We see plenty of tits and cocks and pubic hairy, but I'd love to see more pussy. (In fact, that's a relatively constant complaint throughout the film.)

Scene Two
After a brief interlude with a priest fucking some ugly old nun, we get two VIPs who share a lovely blonde with beautiful tits. Here we do get to see her whole body, in a really hot sequence where they put her on a table in doggie and inspect her hairy pussy and asshole. Probably my favorite scene on the DVD.

Scene Three
After an erotic magic show featuring another hot raven-haired beauty (we get to see a bit of her pussy, tits, and ass), we get a nice scene with a "blind" client and the lead supporting actress, a voluptuous black-haired beauty. Meanwhile, Julia and Cathy watch through a peep hole, with Cathy masturbating. The blind guy does some pretty interesting things with his walking cane, and there's some decent fucking between them, before some guy walks in on Julia and Cathy and fucks Cathy. Again, only complaint: show more of the women's bodies, that's what we're here for.

Scene Four
Julia serves as the assistant to a client and a short-haired blonde. Julia lubes up the prostitute's ass and pussy, then watches and masturbates. Two other men come in with Cathy, and there's a nice orgy scene that unfortunately doesn't last long enough.

Scene Five
Many of the scenes are separated by brief interludes, and here we have one of a prostitute smoking a cigarette through her vagina. (They seem to like that in French porn). Next, we have Julia playing a more active role with her male mentor, an older guy, and a blonde prostitute. At first, she just watches and touches as they trio fuck, but then makes her first big performance, sucking each guy off to completion. A decent scene, except for the lame, fake DP of the blonde.

Scene Six
Things get rather creative here, as we have Julia, the brunette lead, an older woman, and her husband, an older bald guy. The brunette rides the man, while the older woman rides a dildo strapped onto the brunette's abdomen, and the guy licks Julia's pussy.

Scene Seven
After another erotic interlude (that I'm not even going to try to describe), we arrive at the grand finale, which, strangely enough, is just a typical couple-sex scene between Julia and her man. There's a little twist at the end, though, that I'll leave for you to discover.

DVD Quality
While the picture quality is decent for an older classic, this one is better watched on the computer rather than on your TV screen. I'd prefer an original French soundtrack to the dubbing as well.

Final Thoughts
If only they made porn like this today! Open Nightly earns points for creativity and beautiful women with hairy pussies. It loses a bit of its luster due to picture quality and shoddy camera work. It makes me wish the contemporary style of capturing the female form had been in use back in the day. Each scene leaves you wanting to see more, which is not the most satisfying feeling when you're watching porn.
