Review:
The mischievous, barbarian chieftan, Randy Spears, and his hell-raising horde will stop at nothing to rend a powerful, magical crystal from the hands of its rightful owners in "The New Barbarian", a very good, 1990 release from VCA and Henri Pachard. With its inexplicable ability to bring about time-travel, this sexually-fueled gem is certainly a prize worth seeking...and, for Victoria Paris and her peaceful people, a prize worth protecting. A blend of sex and (mild) violence ensues, as the two groups wrestle for control of the piece. Harking back to the days of the old barbarian films of the 1980s while concomitantly mixing in that same era's pornographic charm, this one is most certainly rife with nostalgic value. The sex is also steamy...again, in that 80s style...and seeing Victoria Paris sex it up in her prime is always a welcomed occurrence. For the right crowd--fans of 80s fantasy, porno nostalgia, Victoria Paris, and / or quirky features--this one is worthy.
In terms of the sex, Michelle Monroe and Eric Price fuck it out in their tent as the remainder of the tribe gathers around their elder and the crystal...who are ultimately attacked and stolen, respectively (Scene One). Interspersed among the spurts of the pop-shot (tits) are slices by the villain's sword. Cool idea. In Scene Two, Jon Dough makes the "mistake" of entering the wooden cage of two lustful, animalistic captives, Tianna and Natasha Skyler. The diabolic duo quickly devours him...sexually...in a ravenous and rapacious romp, which subsides only after he unloads all over Natasha's tummy. Hot!
Scene Three bucks the timeline and offers up a tearful and hesitant Nina Hartley and Joey Silvera in a roadside roll upon the hood of their car. Joey drops some sticky-sweet on Nina's freshly-fucked pussy in this future-based fornication. In Scene Four, a captive, supposedly-mute slave-girl from Victoria's tribe, Sabrina Dawn, pleasures her captor, the evil Randy Spears. This fireside fuck in his quarters culminates with Mr. Spears making a mess of her backside. Good stuff!
Scene Five brings together Sabrina Dawn and Victoria Paris after the former's escape and their corresponding reunion. Happy to see one another again, the two lovely ladies get down to a sensual, fingers-and-tongues tussle...again fireside, but this time in Victoria's tent. In Scene Six, Victoria and her fellow warrior, Randy West, sate one another's needs upon a forest floor, all as Sabrina watches in. This sexy number closes out with a cum-shot on Ms. Paris' backside. She was simply awesome.
In all, this is a fun, quirky, little release from 1990 that is quite in-line with the better offerings of its era. Mixing together barbarian themes and 80s-inspired, porno innocence, this one is simply teeming with nostalgic value. Of course, Victoria Paris is at the top of her looks and game, as is the remainder of the cast, as well. For the proper group, this one is still worthy of a watch.
