Captain Jack's
review from 10/17/2011:
Christy Canyon was one of the most popuilar pornstars of the eighties and justifiably so. Christy was a beautiful woman with beautiful large natural tits. She had fun in her scenes and it showed up on screen. She was a dynamic sexual package whose career was too short. [read the full review]

review from 2/27/2015:
The mischievous, barbarian chieftan, Randy Spears, and his hell-raising horde will stop at nothing to rend a powerful, magical crystal from the hands of its rightful owners in "The New Barbarian", a very good, 1990 release from VCA and Henri Pachard. With its inexplicable ability to bring about time-travel, this sexually-fueled gem is certainly a prize worth seeking...and, for Victoria Paris and her peaceful people, a prize worth protecting. A blend of sex and (mild) violence ensues, as the two groups wrestle for control of the piece. Harking back to the days of the old barbarian films of the 1980s while concomitantly mixing in that same era's pornographic charm, this one is most certainly rife with nostalgic value. The sex is also steamy...again, in that 80s style...and seeing Victoria Paris sex it up in her prime is always a welcomed occurrence. For the right crowd--fans of 80s fantasy, porno nostalgia, Victoria Paris, and / or quirky features--this one is worthy. [read the full review]

Bad (VCA) review summaries:
Corey Thomas'
review from 8/27/2005:
"Bad" is probably the weakest John Leslie movie I have seen. Even weak John Leslie is usually better than 90 of the usual porn, but this movie is a true disappointment and deserves it's title. Still I have to say that weak John Leslie films are ten times better than weak Paul Thomas movies. One of the problems of this DVD is that it is so edited down. IAFD lists the original as 82 minutes and the DVD version runs 67. It is obvious that plot elements are missing and at times the movie makes little sense, unless you read reviews of the original VHS tape. The plot concerns a girl named Pat (Iiesha), who is sent to the Attitude Adjustment Center by her parents (Lauren Hall and Jamie Gillis). It is there that she will be under the control of Dr. Deeeeeep (not sure how many E's there are, but you get the point), played by Joey Silvera. Marc Wallice, Tom Byron, Peter North, and others play patients. Supposedly, Wallice convinces Dr. Deeeeeep to hypnotize Pat and then has his way with her. [read the full review]

review from 6/18/2001:
Director: John Leslie Screenwriter: Dominic Ruth Director of Photography: George Wally Runtime: 66 min. Format: Video Cast: Iesha, Tom Byron, Ashlyn Gere, Madison, Marc Wallace, Peter North, Lauren Hall, Joey Silvera, Rayne, Michelle Monroe, T.T. Boy, Randy Spears, Jamie Gillis (nonsex) Finally someone has made a porno and taken the time to slap on the appropriate title. John Leslie's Bad is indeed bad. Not bad in the Michael Jackson 'it's good to be bad' way but bad as in I think I'll throw it out with an empty shampoo bottle, lint from my pocket, and other trash. Congratulations to Mr. Leslie for not misleading the porn buying public. The same praise cannot be given to VCA regarding the cover art, however, and bonus points go to anyone who can find the girls on the box in the video. This 'classic' was shot on video and released in 1991, well past the golden age of porn. [read the full review]

review from 4/13/2001:
Running Time: 66 min. Production Date: 1990 Director: John Leslie Cast: Iesha, Ashlyn Gere, Madison, Lauren Hall, Rayne, Michelle Monroe, Tom Byron, Joey Silvera, Peter North, T. T. Boy, Marc Wallice, Randy Spears, and Jamie Gillis Initial Expectations: I remember watching this when it first came out for two reasons - Ashlyn Gere and Madison. I dont remember much of anything about the movie, but my motivations for seeing it havent changed. Initial Reaction: The sex is good but everything feels very short. Who Should Watch It : Fans of Ashlyn Gere and Madison, people with short attention spans. Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who likes long drawn out scenes. Audio /Video Quality: Bad looks and sounds every bit as good if not better than it originally did if memory serves. Both are very clear, looking and sounding better than many of todays features. Music: There isnt music for every scene but when there is its the typical porno music from the early nineties. [read the full review]
