Review:
It's difficult to think of 1990's porn--particularly if it's of the lesbian variety--and not have the name Debi Diamond instantly come to mind. Indeed, Ms. Diamond--whose career actually began in the early 1980's--really took off around 1993 to 1994, with over-the-top releases like "Dungeon Dykes", induction into AVN's Hall of Fame, and bringing home the coveted AVN Female Performer of the Year award, all in a short span. This timeframe also happened to coincide with this particular reviewer's coming of porno-watching age...so his potential bias should be clear. Nevertheless, there were countless others--aside from this reviewer--who also regarded Debi's erotic exploits with awe, and her place in porn's history books--with a career that spanned right around three decades--is certainly well deserved and undeniably earned. With all of that said, a review of "The Golden Age of Porn: Debbie Diamond" is presented herein. As something of an ominous, initial portent, Gentlemen's Video misspelled Debi's first name in the title of the release...bad form. From there, they went ahead and chose five of her scenes for this mini-compilation, three of which (...the last three...) were so horribly bad in terms of their sound quality that music was used to cover them up essentially in their entirety...which utterly obliterated any plot elements, dialogue, moans and groans, etc. that might have otherwise added to the viewing experience. This, of course, is a true shame, as the first two segments were so very promising, and Diamond's work throughout was of her normal, super-sexual caliber. As such, it's impossible to recommend this release, despite the awesomeness of its star. Bad choices from the production company doomed it from the beginning.
In terms of the sex, Scene One opens up with the thin, athletically-built, blonde star of the show, the incomparable Debi Diamond, writhing around all soapy and on the edge of a bubble bath. She doubly-penetrates herself with a pair of dildos, and then with a lit, black candle up her butt whilst one of the vibrators is in her pussy.
