Shauna Grant: The Early Years Review

What can be said about Shauna Grant? A young starlet from Minnesota who took the industry by storm in the early 1980's, it was her untimely passing, apparently at her own hands, that truly rocked the porn world and beyond. Indeed, her life became the subject of a made-for-TV movie, a documentary, news pieces and articles, and so on. Clearly, her situation ended in tragedy, and it shouldn't be forgotten. Still, Ms. Grant did make a number of adult films that can serve as a fine way for her fans to remember the blonde beauty of yesteryear. Herein, I review one of them, a compilation actually, "Shauna Grant: The Early Years", from VCX. This release is particularly touching in that it features what appears to be an honest interview of Shauna by Bobby Hollander in the early part of her career. This material, which provides a glimpse of the eager starlet at the dawn of her then-new profession, is interspersed between the various sex scenes, which themselves generally portray her in a positive, though certainly sexual, light. If for no other reason alone, this Q-and-A with Shauna makes this release worth a look, particularly for her fans, and the sex that accompanies it is enough to elicit fond memories, as well. (The only real drawback is that the sound is over-driven in places and comes off as screechy, at times, particularly in the first sequence...a relatively minor concern, however.)

In terms of the sex, Scene One finds the super-cute blonde, Shauna Grant, recounting to two of her friends outside of a convenience store the time when she lost her virginity to a shoe salesman, Richard Pacheco. Taking place in the back of his store with customers waiting and listening out front, Pacheco gives her a quick go that would make Al Bundy proud (oral by him, softcore vaginal). In Scene Two, Shauna's involved in a dream sequence of sorts--complete with blurry (too blurry), vignetted edges--sensuously sucking off two faceless dudes. There's a lot of chub-rubbing in this one, though it still remains hot (oral ; double-facial). Scene Three brings together a psychiatrist with some unorthodox techniques, Ron Jeremy, with two patients--Shauna and the brunette Andrea Adams--who possess polar opposite issues...the former is sexually supercharged and hot to trot, while the latter is sexually cold and frigid. Of course, as often occurs when opposites meet, they attract, particularly as Ron has Shauna lift up her flimsy miniskirt (sans panties) and play with herself. A steamy three-way ensues (vaginal--Adams, oral--both ladies ; facial for Grant, reinsertion into Adams). In Scene Four, Shauna--in her sexy, candy cane-striped miniskirt--brings Tom Byron up to her private lair. No surprise, it doesn't take her long to strip down to her bosom-bearing, black workout wear beneath and to pull out his cock (oral, vaginal ; pop on her backside out of doggy). Scene Five has Shauna and her guy, Eric Edwards, disrobing and getting down to business on a waterbed. Ms. Grant looks great in her white thigh-highs, as well as getting sensually sexed up by Edwards (oral, vaginal ; load on her backside). In Scene Six, Shauna and her guy, Steve Douglas, discuss his desires for another woman named "Mona"...and then immediately bang it out upon their bed (oral, vaginal). Hot stuff! You are truly missed, Shauna...RIP.
