Flash's
review from 11/28/2015:
Little Darlin's is a fun barely legal title to come from David Buckley. The story is lighthearted and the sex scenes are fun. The film mixes in some nice humor throughout. Halo Park Pictures has made a subpar release of the film unfortunately, which is watchable but disappointing. [read the full review]

fu_q's
review from 9/2/2017:
A young, rich woman goes missing, and it falls to a low-rent private investigator, Johnny Wadd (played by the legendary John Holmes), to find and ultimately save her from the clutches of a down and dirty, no good kidnapper. Of course, along the way, subterfuge, chicanery, and greed are all served up in spades...as is a strong side of fucking. Such is the case in "Johnny Wadd", a decent, 1973 release from VCX and director Bob Chinn. [read the full review]
Flash's
review from 7/5/2014:
Johnny Wadd, the first film in the Johnny Wadd series, is not one of the truly amazing adult films that came out of the 70s, but it is a fun low budget quickie. The plot and acting are lacking, but the sex scenes are solid. [read the full review]
Faunus'
review from 11/18/2008:
All my old movies mags state that “Johnny Wadd” is to John Homes as James Bond is to Shawn Connery, but for years I have never been able to verify this analogy. Over the last several months, VCX has been re-releasing movie after movie from its vault of Golden Age classics. I eagerly unwrapped the plastic and shoved it into my player and…came away with mixed feelings. [read the full review]

Return of Johnny Wadd, The (Adam & Eve) review summaries:
Flash's
review from 7/5/2014:
The Return of Johnny Wadd was the last entry in the Johnny Wadd series, which was made without any participation from series creator Bob Chinn. Overall, the movie is your typical 1980s quicky and isn't anything remarkable. This edition contains a later re-edit of the film, has missing footage, and includes a scene never intended for the original film. For this reason, this edition is not recommended. Original Sex Academy, The review summaries:
Flash's
review from 7/17/2018:
The Original Sex Academy is a prime example of how adult movies went wrong when they switched from shot on film productions to shot on video productions. The Original Sex Academy capitalizes on the name of Police Academy, but that is as far as any connection between the two movies. The Original Sex Academy is a series of sex scenes with some plotted portions between them to make the movie look like a feature movie. The sex scenes are average. There isn't any real reason to see this movie. Gourmet Video has done a better than their average job but still not average job with their DVD release with acceptable video and audio quality. This is a typical 1980s porn movie with crazy plot and lame music playing throughout the scenes. Good chance to see what was typical then, but unless you are a collector of vintage porn or want to see a certain star, it's nothing important. It's a chance to see some porn legends like porn stud Peter North, although the movie doesn't really feature any stellar scenes. [read the full review]

An unintentional encounter with a loser student leads a repressed-though-sexual, young teacher, Jesie St. James, down a dirty and ultimately unfulfilling path. Indeed, it seems that no matter which turn she takes in her life thereafter--for love, for lust, or for both--Jesi is destined for erotic despair. Rick L. Blalock's
review from 6/16/2016:
Shauna Grant's tragically short career was marked by several legendary films, most notably Suzie Superstar in which she plays a sexy rock singer at the top of the charts. Her overbearing manager played by John Leslie sparks an adventure filled with sex, betrayal, money, and love. With incredible appearances by Ron Jeremy, Joey Silvera, and Sharon Mitchell, Suzie Superstar remains one of the greatest classic features of all time, not just for its superior film making and gorgeous sex scenes, but also for its story, acting, and je ne sais quoi. review from 11/5/2008:
Thirteen scenes on a dvd that runs just under two hours from the "legendary library" of VCX. This is a good offering for someone wondering what the supposed earlier glory years of porn on films offered. These golden years are now a bit washed out on film and some times it might be better to just leave them in your memory banks. The sex in most of today's quickly shot movies is more scorching than anything offered from this "legendary" library. Most of the scenes are rather unimaginative or short on positions. The music and the hairstyles of the era are hilarious. Good nostalgia trip but not too bone hardening. [read the full review]

Love, lust, and stripping beneath the hot lights all collide, when an all-nude club that's fallen upon hard times pulls out the stops with an amateur night competition that attracts the attention of an innocent, young woman (Shana Evans) who loves nothing more than to dance. Of course, aiding in the process is a friend and adviser (John Leslie) of the club's owner (Herschel Savage), who's also falling hard for the girl. review from 5/24/2008:
A trip down memory lane, for anyone who followed the career of legendary cocksman John Holmes during the 1980s. This comp taps the vaults of VCX, a producer of feature-length sex films that often featured Holmes with some of the era's leading ladies -- Seka, Desiree Cousteau, Serena, and Connie Peterson. YogaDame's
review from 11/9/2008:
Ah, the halcyon days of VCA features. How I miss them. As is typical for the movies I've seen from that not-long-ago era, Fountain of Innocence is a beautiful multi-camera production, attractively lit, skillfully edited, and boasting excellent sound that's enhanced by carefully selected music. The views of the sex are explicit yet pretty. The costumes are a hoot: the perfect swizzle of elegance and tackiness, just right for a porno about a porno. Ron Jeremy stars as a director who's taping History of the Sex World: Part 2. Taren Steele plays an aspiring actress who's about to perform for the first time. Our nervous heroine receives friendly advice and reassurance from a trio of hot blonde veterans: Juli Ashton, Shayla LaVeaux, and Nina Hartley. The conversational flow is pleasingly uncontrived. It sounds as though the performers are discussing their real and very positive experiences in the industry. It all leads to a happy heap of flesh by the swimming pool. [read the full review]

"Peace through giving a piece" is the theme for this week's hard-hitting episode of "69 Minutes: Evening News", featuring the sarcastic (...though horny...) news anchor, the lovely Tracey Adams, as she delves into the possibility of achieving world peace through increased sexual contact. Of course, this fine, stereotype-filled piece of investigative journalism finds her interviewing a variety of characters from all corners of the globe, from Cold War ambassadors to Middle Eastern dictators to French sexual athletes and so on and so forth. Needless to say, all of these world figures have at least one thing in common: They like fucking as much as Tracey does. Such is the case in this fun, tongue-in-cheek, 1986 parody of the popular, mainstream news show, "60 Minutes", by director Damon Christian and GVC. [read the full review]

review from 4/14/2008:
This is a pretty typical mid-nineties porno. The setup is cheesy and overused with a bunch of TV execs screening scenes to show on their porno network, and the sex doesn't stand out in any way. There is some very nice female talent with Johnni Black, Celine Devoux, Kaitlyn Ashley, and Tatianna in the movie, but they never get a chance to shine much due to the camera work and editing. The technical aspects are pretty good when one considers the age of the release, but there's no effort put into the extras (as usual with the VCA Gold Classics line). This release didn't quite make it to the average mark for me. [read the full review]

Big Raider Fan's
review from 12/23/2009:
Homegrown Video Classics Vol. 1, subtitled Swinging in the Eighties from Homegrown Video, presents 4 scenes from the myriad of videos that Homegrown has. The DVD runs about 90 minutes, and has fair picture quality, although the sound is nothng to write home about. The scenes have fair chapter stops throughout. The settings are pretty humerous and reminiscent of 80s porn, with the tacky settings and hairstyles. Extras include bloopers, web info, preview, and a bonus scene, which features Claudine from Homegrown Video #648. The sex isnt bad. The people look like real people, which can be both good and bad. But, if amateur porn is your thing, you might want to take a look at this one. [read the full review]

review from 11/27/2015:
Young, Hot N' Nasty Teenage Cruisers is an oddball of a film. It tries very hard to be a rockabilly nostalgia film, but ultimately is a failure. Faked cum shots, loops inserted into the story, missed comedy, and a general failure of a direction for the film pull it down. Raunchy Tonk has made some poor mistakes with the presentation of the film, utilizing a video master, altering the credits, and making the disc non-anamorphic widescreen. Raunchy Tonk did go all the way on the special features for the disc. [read the full review]

When non-X Rated filmmakers/personalities get involved in hardcore films, the results are more than often strange, if not somewhat tedious. But here, rockabilly personality and general cult icon Johnny Legend's underground hit Teenage Cruisers is a happy exception to the rule. Let's hope this DVD is as good as the film itself. review from 5/10/2016:
Refinements in Love is a hard film to recommend or to suggest passing on. It is one of the early adult films that is made to appear like a documentary, despite all of the documentary footage being fake. It is one of the more coherent efforts from Carlos Tobalina, but it still suffers from his haphazard nature of putting together his films. While there are some amusing moments and some nice sex scenes, the film also runs too long for what it is trying to do. Impulse Pictures has done a good job with this release with a nice looking, albeit cropped picture, but it does have some issues with the color. [read the full review]

When the ladies are looking for a good time or to simply escape the mundane, there's only one place to go, and that's down to John Leslie's local, country-themed watering hole, where the sex flows as freely as the liquor and the pussy party's always on. Such is the case in "Urban Cowgirls", a very good, 1980 release from Caballero and director Tsanusdi. [read the full review]

A twisted tale of lies, debauchery, and deceit unfolds when a pair of motorcyclists blackmail a nuclear physics professor's wife (Jacqueline Laurent) over her own sexual infidelities with the help and also the professor's son's drunken driving. Indeed, she's worked over for sex, money, a place to stay, and--in so doing--just as much is revealed about the various occupants of the home as the blackmailers/"guests" themselves. Such is the case in "Hungry Young Women", a decent, 1974 release from Torgny Wickman and Alpha Blue Archives. [read the full review]

An overall-good, 1978 release from director Paul Levis and the Alpha Blue Archives, this flick starts out for all the world looking like it's going to have an exceptional plot...the car chases, character development, intertwined storylines, etc. ... but then, somewhat randomly, gives it all up midway through and wraps everything with a massive orgy at a disco. When a desperate girl on the street sells Kevin James a ring that she stole from her father, his (...sexual...) luck changes...and so does everyone else's who comes into possession of the bejeweled band. Such is the case in "Ring of Desire", a good, 1981 release from Peter Balakoff and Gourmet Video. Indeed, the ring finds itself passed around the various corners--and between the assorted characters--of Hollywood, from lawyers to actresses to writers to prostitutes and so on, and whoever owns it at the time finds him- or herself quite lucky (...as in "getting lucky"...). With a clever, though simple plot, good acting, a number of shorter sex scenes, and a strong cast, this little fuck-flick from yesteryear is actually a lot of fun and worthy of a watch...particularly for fans of the classics. "Summer Beach House" is a sub-par, 1980 release from Gourmet Video featuring Danielle and Becky Savage as frisky sisters who have a home on the beach for the summer (...hence the title...). The whole film is shot indoors, and the house itself doesn't really scream, "fun in the sun", either. Moreover, this one is super-short and looks like it could have been shot by anyone with a home camcorder. While the sex isn't bad--it's fairly average, with the final orgy being the best--just about everything else is. As such, I'd recommend steering clear of this one. [read the full review]
