Barbara Dare Devours Men Review

Review:
With her village ravaged and her virgin sister taken captive for the purposes of marriage to an evil king, the beautiful barbarian queen, Barbara Dare, must overcome all manner of obstacle on her quest to get her unsoiled sibling back and to seek revenge for her peoples' losses. Such is the case in "Barbara Dare Devours Men", an overall-good, 1987 production from Robert McCallum and Gourmet Video. Originally released by Essex Video as "Barbara the Barbarian", this flick follows in the popular 1980s vein of sexually-charged, intentionally-cheesy, mainstream "Conan" spinoffs like the "Deathstalker" series and "Barbarian Queen". Of course, what those releases lacked (explicit sex), this one certainly makes up for in spades...and with the likes of the legendary Barbara Dare, Erica Boyer, and Nina Hartley onboard, the female cast here is just as hot (or hotter), as well. Indeed, this one is fun, corny, and horny, and it's awesome to watch Ms. Dare--who was always in peak shape--up on the small screen again. The only real drawbacks to this particular "copy" (on adultempire.com/unlimited) is that the sound is out of sync for the last part of the film and the quality of the picture is relatively low, showing things like old VHS tracking anomalies, etc. along the way. Still, it's watchable (...and wankable...), and fans of barbarian films, cheesy porn, and the lovely Barbara Dare will want to take a look.

In terms of the sex, Scene One finds Barbara Dare, the queen of the barbarian tribe, taking Nina Hartley's man-slaves, Shone Taylor and Billy Dee, after besting her in combat and banishing her from the realm. Barbara also brings in her own dude, Peter North, and fucks him to completion (cowgirl to a spurter on her bum and back), as she sucks their dicks.
