Pleasure Island (Alpha Blue) Review

Review:
Some pirates, some captives, and some tepid sex. That about sums up "Pleasure Island", an okay(ish), 1975 release from Dan Wright and Alpha Blue Archives. Indeed, despite its short running time (~1 hour), a good portion of this film's sex still manages to feel protracted, and--while it does get better in the second half of the movie, albeit with distractions--the first half is simply flat-out boring. Further, the plot is as simple as simple can be--almost to the point of nonexistence--and the acting is fairly bad, as well. There's a bit that makes this one slightly worthwhile, but one has to look long and hard to find it. Pass.

In terms of the sex, Scene One finds the blonde pirate captain, Linda John, demanding that Ted Kesey, "ram her in the stern" aboard her ship (oral, vaginal ; very brief ; pop on her ass). In Scene Two, a pair of pirates, including Jo Ambriz, takes advantage of their prisoners, including the long-haired blonde Sue Dunn and Jesse Adams. Jo does girl-girl with a captive, Sue and Jesse get it on (oral and vaginal), and another male-female (pirate-prisoner) combo couples up (oral and vaginal). Protracted and meh. Scene Three opens with Linda John pulling a necklace from her pussy and receiving head from Ted Kesey. Her crew then brings forth the captives, and all manner of mayhem ensues. One of the young women is tied up, upside-down with a lit candlestick inserted in her...which is allowed to burn down (...her pussy is ultimately sliced in half with a sword, by the way...). Linda sucks off Jesse Adams to a facial, and Sue Dunn works over a fellow female prisoner...all whilst two morons dance around and fight with clanking, wooden swords (a serious distraction, at times). Scene Four is essentially a continuation of the previous sequence, with Sue Dunn sucking and fucking Jesse Adams (oral and vaginal ; pop on her ass-crack, followed by a cummy reinsertion), while the same unnamed male-female combo from the second segment goes at it again next to them (vaginal ; pop on her garment-covered tummy out of mish). This final pair of scenes is certainly better than the opening pair...though they're really not much to write home about, either. Don't bother with this one.
