When Jamie Gillis, sporting a dick-nose pair of glasses, throws a party, all of the masked, costumed freaks--from maids to furries to doctors to magicians and so on--show up...and fuck. What results is a hardcore, nonstop entanglement of flesh involving the likes of John Holmes, Sharon Mitchell, Mai Lin, Misty Dawn, Ron Jeremy, and several other notable performers of its time...and the ensuing action is hot! Such is the case in "Marathon", an exceptional, 1983 release from director Carlos Tobalina and remastered by Vinegar Syndrome. [read the full review]

Mob Job review summaries:
Flash's
Despite a few moments of competency, Mob Job, an early feature adult film by Jack Molinas, is mostly a poorly edited confusing mess that isn't worth watching. The plot in the film plummets downhill quickly, and the sex scenes are jammed in where ever they could be, whether or not they fit with where they are stuck into the film or not. Mob Job isn't recommended. Vinegar Syndrome has done a poor job with their streaming-only release of Mob Job on Exploitation.TV with decent video quality but poor audio quality. Getting Off is a rather standard loop carrier by Ed DePriest, and Pretty Peaches is an enjoyable feature by Alex de Renzy, and Summer in Heat is an enjoyable film from Christy McCabe. Whether the Desiree Cousteau Triple Feature is right for you depends on what film(s) you are interested in from the three film collection. All three films appear to be sourced from 3/4 video masters. John Holmes Three Disc Classic Collection 1, The review summaries:
Big Raider Fan's
The John Holmes Three Disc Classic Collection from Adam & Eve is a three disc set of some lesser known John Holmes movies. The movies included here are Treasure Box, Marina Vice, and Lottery Lust. These movies are fun and a bit nostalgic to watch. The girls all have big, BIG hair and hairy bush. Buck Adams is here as well remember him? The movies are short Lottery Lust is the longest at 83 minutes. The audio is not bad, and the picture quality is pretty good considering the source. All of the films were originally shot on video, and are presented in full-screen. Chapter stops are fair. Although John Holmes is really only a bit player here, these are still recommended for fans of 80s porn with its cheesy flair. [read the full review]

An overall-good, 1978 release from director Paul Levis and the Alpha Blue Archives, this flick starts out for all the world looking like it's going to have an exceptional plot...the car chases, character development, intertwined storylines, etc. ... but then, somewhat randomly, gives it all up midway through and wraps everything with a massive orgy at a disco. Erotic World Of Seka, The review summaries:
fu_q's
Featuring the "platinum princess of porn" herself, "The Erotic World of Seka" (1980 LBO / VCR), certainly delivers on both the beauty and the sexual fronts. Indeed, Seka is one of the true superstars of the Golden Age...one of the biggest names that the world of adult has ever seen. Not only did she possess stunning good looks, but she was also a sexual dynamo. Her scenes delivered on multiple levels, and her fans ate them up. Presented here are nine sequences featuring the legend, all of them strong and one of them involving a DP. While the overdubbing found in some spots is a bit irksome...and there's a disconnect between the first handful of segments and the last...Seka's presence and performances alone are easily enough to pull out a recommendation. Featuring the cute and kinky brunette sensation of porno past (say, late-70s through early-80s), Ms. Desiree Cousteau, this release serves as a sexy sampling of its star's assorted and well-documented carnal deeds. Ball Game (Caballero) review summaries:
Flash's
Ball Game is a cheesy, corny, and fun adult film. The film entertains the viewer throughout and has some great sex scenes. However, the title is misleading and the film is more of a jailhouse story than a baseball story, so viewers looking for a sports themed adult film will be disappointed. Caballero has done a poor job with this release with a lack of extras and a poor transfer. [read the full review]

Summer In Heat review summaries:

A fireside conversation between two lovers, Jamie Gillis and Delania Raffino, and the suggestion of a trip to Lake Shasta prompts the latter of the pair to recount a story from times past, when she last visited the lake with her ex-husband and Senator, Jack Wrangler. Of course, the trip was anything but typical, as it involved all manner of horny high-jinks, two of the participants--including Raffino herself--getting seriously lost, an assortment of awkward moments and interactions, and...finally...a trio of "protestors" intent on taking hostages and raping members of the party. This outlandish, fictitious trip is the primary focus of the film "Summer in Heat", an overall-good, 1979 release from VCX and director Alex DeRenzy. [read the full review]

After leaving her unfulfilling married life behind, a chance encounter with a low-end salesman, played by Ron Jeremy, has the innocent blonde beauty Danielle and, more so, her pheromone-laced squirt thrust into the spotlight, as Jeremy turns her irresistible love juice into a widely-renowned cologne. The world is in crisis as the evil space demon, "Sugar Man" (Jamie Gillis), posing as an "innocent" South American dictator, spreads impotence across the planet via his country's tainted sugar. With his plans to exterminate the human race (and thereby clear the planet for his own kind) in full force, the super powers of the world find themselves desperately at one another's throats...and it turns out that only the stunningly beautiful blonde super-alien, "Ultra Flesh" (Seka), and her "Fleshettes" can save them...and the world. Such is the case in the aptly titled "Ultra Flesh", a very good, 1980 release from Svetlana and Collector's Video (as distributed by VCX). [read the full review]

The Betty Boop of porno past, the lovely and charming brunette cutie, Desiree Cousteau, has certainly led a colorful, sex-filled life if "Inside Desiree Cousteau", an exceptional 1979 release from Leon Gucci and VCX, is to be believed. Indeed, this showcase features the bubbly young beauty in her pornographic prime and portends to be an autobiographical flick (...suspend disbelief...) highlighting the many lives of Ms. Cousteau and the varied and sordid sexual escapades accompanying them. Deep Rub review summaries:

In what may be the original "happy ending" release (...pardon the pun...), Desiree Cousteau, the brunette Betty Boop of Porno Past, unwittingly finds herself a part of a prostitution ring run by Paul Thomas, who offers to find the aspiring actress "jobs". Of course, the "jobs" are all hand-jobs, blowjobs, etc., as she soon finds out...and which suits her perfectly fine. So goes "Deep Rub", a very good, 1979 release from VCX and director Leon Gucci that is, as most Cousteau flicks were, a fun little fucker from the Golden Age of adult cinema. [read the full review]

Taboo (VCX) review summaries:
Flash's
Taboo is one of the true adult classics from the golden age of adult films. Taboo combines a tawdry tale of family love with a great cast, good story, and an overall nice looking production to create a film that has stood the test of time in the annals of adult films. If you haven't seen it, Taboo is a must see and if you are a fan of the classics, Taboo is one that you will want to add to your collection. VCX's limited edition release of Taboo is disappointing with acceptable video quality. [read the full review]

Starring: Kay Parker, Dorothy LeMay, Juliet Anderson, Tawny Pearl, Lynn Shannon, Mike Ranger Directed By: Kirdy Stevens In my old college lit classes Oedipus Rex was my "go to" play. If we were called upon to write essays on irony, tragedy, flawed characters, or any of the other big dramatic topics for discussion, I always turned to that father killing, eye poking, incestuous king for source material. Of course, I didn't know shit about Medea or Troilus and Cressida, but I didn't have to; I had my regal Greek motherfuckers down. Kirdy Stevens' Taboo barely resembles the themes of Oedipus Rex, and we all agree that it's unfair to hold any pornographic work to the same standard of Sophocles' greatest play, and yet I'm gonna do it anyway. Taboo is the story of a boy and his mother. [read the full review]

Films like this built the reputation of the "golden age" of adult, i.e., the years 1975 through 1982. This 1981 film is, of course, a spoof on the 1980 mainstream film "9 to 5" that starred Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Dolly Parton, and Dabney Coleman. In the adult version their parts are play by Loni Sanders, Annette Haven, Lisa DeLeew, and Herschel Savage. There's even a very nice theme song take-off on the famous Dolly Parton song that went with the mainstream movie. Plot and acting are superior to most seen today, and the sex scenes not only fit the plot, they advance the plot. Although the sex is by today's standards strictly couples fare, this is still a very hot movie and well worthwhile. Technically the disc is quite good, although the reverse angle gimmick was simply annoying. The video quality and audio are very good, given the age of the source material. [read the full review]
