The Movie

Stalked! masquerades as a feature bondage movie, however, no real effort was put into any aspect of making this movie making it just an all-around poor effort. John Howard's bondage feature movies never had a whole lot of effort that went into them. His projects were more about the bondage than the feature and the feature aspects always seemed to have little effort put into them just to be able to call the movies a feature.

In Stalked!, Howard puts in far less effort than his normal low to the point that you are left to wonder if he even cared at all about this movie. The “plot” to the movie has Leslie kidnapping women for his boss Scar who then has to break the women in for him. I use the word plot loosely since it really isn't there. You get some voice overs telling you what is going on, however, honestly with the lack of effort put in the plot hurts the movie more than helping it.

Sets are about as bottom of the barrel as one can get. Most of them appear to be a sheet hung over a wall. One of the set dressings appears to be tinfoil over a wall. The movie is horribly shot. No thought went into the cinematography, at all. Howard's other movies that I have seen at least had minimal effort in telling the story. There were some shots to establish that the movie was indeed a feature movie, even if it was a rushed and poorly done feature movie.

In Stalked!, Howard doesn't even bother with the short feature style transitional footage. The movie is straight out bondage scenes. I am not the biggest expert on bondage movies, however, it is safe to say nothing within this movie interested me.

The Edition

The edition of Stalked! that I watched was the streaming version offered by HotMovies. Stalked! is also available on a DVD-MOD from California Star Productions. To the best of my knowledge, the DVD-MOD offered is the same as the streaming version at HotMovies.

Stalked! is presented in the academy aspect ratio of 1.33:1 in 250i. Stalked! was shot on video and was clearly mastered from an old VHS tape. There are many glitches in the video present throughout the entire movie. There is also a band across the bottom of the screen. The video presentation here is frankly very poor.

Stalked! is presented with an English monaural audio track, which is horrific. There is a loud hiss present throughout the entire movie. There is distortion in the audio making dialog hard to make out. Listening to this movie is, frankly, a miserable experience.

Final Thoughts

Stalked! is a low budget, shot on video, bondage movie that while it masquerades as a feature movie, it really isn't. No real effort went into this production from anyone involved. Even if you have been a fan of John Howard's other bondage features, Stalked! is likely to let you down. California Star Productions has done a poor job with this release that is essentially just an old VHS tape.
