Running Time: 82 min. Production Date: 2 / 7 / 1991 Director: F. J. Lincoln and Patty Rhodes Cast: Teri Weigel, Alicyn Sterling, Ashley Nicole, April Rayne, Marc Wallice, Joey Silvera, Joey Murphy, and Murrill Maglio Initial Expectations: Its a Wicked release. Nuff said. Initial Reaction: Ugh! I think this is the worst Wicked release Ive seen. Audio /Video Quality: The audio has quite a bit of wind or some other background noise. Its a kind of fuzz throughout the entire movie. The video is what Id consider good VHS quality. Its slightly grainy and it isnt helped by the bad lighting in most of the movie. Theres also a lot of pixelation flashes towards the end of the movie. Music: To call it cheesy would be a compliment. It ranges from well balanced to extremely overpowering. Basically its about a woman (Devinn Lane) who pays a homeless guy $10 to buy his books and finds they are magic books, and basically does magic for sex. Devinn Lane has an awesome sex scene with Jessica Drake. The scene that did it for me was Temptress with Randy Spears. I have always loved Randy he is amoung my favorite male sex stars. "Spellbound" is one dvd that I didn't say this wasn't worth the money I paid. "A Gay Man's Take on Straight Porn" I really did love the first "Double Feature". I thought it was hilarious, creative, and actually pretty hot. I didn't like "Bride of Double Feature" as much. Since this is a porno, I'll start with an overview of the sex scenes. There actually is a good amount of sex in this film, with a little variety here and there. The sex actually was lacking a lot of heat at times. The stand out scenes had to be the threesome with Mickey G., Tabitha Stevens, and the Pizza Girl. There was a good amount of heat, and both women look very good, with a nice touch of diversity since the Pizza Girl had a more natural body, and darker hair, and Tabitha was more your typical blonde porn star. Also, you can tell that Tabitha is enjoying herself. Also, the orgy scene at the end of the movie had some pretty decent heat, and had a little more than the vanilla sex in "Double Feature". Temptress, a knockout contract girl for Wicked (when properly made-up) puts on a great display of her talents in WORKING GIRL. Basically, the lovely temptress stars as a small-town girl fresh in the big city looking for work. While resting her tired feet at a bus-stop, she peruses the want-ads and can't help but imagine the sexual situations she might get into as she ponders different jobs. Basically, a number of vignettes follow starring Temptress in either an active or observer role to the action. Although I was somewhat disappointed that the inherent situational aspect of this set-up was not really explored (e.g. INSIDE DESIREE COUSTEAU (one of my all-time favorite porn classics) - wherein the lovely Desiree can't seem to avoid the sexual advances of her various employers), Temptress' amazingly hot features make up for the rather mundane execution here. Temptress, a knockout contract girl for Wicked (when properly made-up) puts on a great display of her talents in WORKING GIRL. Basically, the lovely temptress stars as a small-town girl fresh in the big city looking for work. While resting her tired feet at a bus-stop, she peruses the want-ads and can't help but imagine the sexual situations she might get into as she ponders different jobs. Basically, a number of vignettes follow starring Temptress in either an active or observer role to the action. Although I was somewhat disappointed that the inherent situational aspect of this set-up was not really explored (e.g. INSIDE DESIREE COUSTEAU (one of my all-time favorite porn classics) - wherein the lovely Desiree can't seem to avoid the sexual advances of her various employers), Temptress' amazingly hot features make up for the rather mundane execution here. "A Gay Man's Take on Straight Porn" I have to say, I think "Double Feature" is one of the few pornos that could actually have a chance in the mainstream. This movie works very well as a comedy, and yet still has some very well done, although not always all that daring, sex. Movie Content: Other reviews have gone through this movie scene by scene, so I'll just do a general overview. The first feature that we see is a Sci-Fi spoof, with three female aliens coming down, and turning the men of earth in to sex slaves. This is the better of the two featured stories when it comes to comedy, but the weaker of the two when it comes to sex. There are really no stand out sex scenes in this section, although the scene with Jewel D'nyle and Herschal Savage is fairly hot, and you can tell that both of them are in to it. The rest of the scenes are fairly vanilla. Although there are two group scenes in this part, both of them fall a little flat. Audio /Video Quality: The video is very clear and about what youd normally expect from Wicked. Theres a little bit of grain in the darker scenes and some soft focus problems. Neither interfere with the movie too much. The audio appears to be dubbed in all of the languages. Its very clear but poorly balanced. Shortly after reviewing MASQUERADE for Adult DVD Talk, I had the opportunity to take a gander at THE OBSESSION OF LAURE, a Wicked Pictures DVD from Marc Dorvel Video and starring gorgeous featured actress Laure Sinclair. Why am I reviewing this movie now? Well, I've never seen it before. Flashpoint was filmed in 1997 and debuted on VHS in 1998 (I think); the eagerly-anticipated DVD followed in 1999. After enjoying Loaded (featuring Jesse Jane) recently, I thought I'd give a shot at one of the most celebrated adult feature films in the last five or so years. Without a doubt, Jenna Jameson is the biggest adult film star since the late Nineties, but to be honest, I can't count myself amongst the Jenna worshippers. I don't know why this is; she's actually a decent actress and her sex scenes are usually very high caliber. Flashpoint's cast reads like a Who's Who in porn for the late Nineties. We've seen all of them in scenes after this, but watching this 6+ years after it was shot makes them look especially nice; it's like watching Faye Dunaway in Chinatown. Hopefully its as good as I remember. Initial Reaction: Its a lot of fun and has some good sex as well. Who Should Watch It : Anybody looking for a really fun adult feature Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who just wants down and dirty nasty fucking Audio /Video Quality: The audio is a little off balance and hard to hear at times, but isnt any worse than the average porno.
