WHAT'S THAT?

This is a must have for every adult movies fan. Despite being a seven year old movie (it was released in the year 2000) it can be called a classic. Everyone knows about Dream Quest and, of course, every one must watch it at least once. Brad Armstrong made his best movie and became one of the most famous directors with a fairy story that is more than that. That’s not all. Jenna Jameson is in there, and she’s the absolute protagonist of the movie and she look better than ever. Without a doubt, a must have for every Brad Armstrong and Jenna fan!!!

THE FEATURE

Plot

Sarah, a romantic and shy girl, is requested to go into the dreamworld and recover Fantasy, stolen by the evil Vladimir. During her quest, she would have to resolve riddles, deal with strange people, beat the fear and go beyond her sexual limits. At the end, everything will change.

The Sex Scenes

The first scene involves Asia Carrera, Evan Stone and Jenna Jameson. This is not a bad scene. You can see Asia making oral sex with both of them, and fucking Evan Stone while Jenna touches herself and participate from time to time. Maybe the lightning is a little bit dark for me, but it’s due to the screenplay so it’s ok.

The second scene involves Randy Spears, Johnni and Amber. It’s a very good threesome scene with two wonderful girls making her best on Randy. A great double blowjob with the two pretty girls eating Randy, and a great anal (and vaginal sex, of course). In addition, cum swapping, hand job, kissing… all in a well lighted and filmed scene. Maybe the camera angles are not the best for me, but it’s a good scene, anyway.

The third scene involves Bridgett Kerkove and Herschel Savage. I’m not a great fan of any of them, and besides she doesn’t show her tits. It’s not a awful scene but it doesn’t work too much for me. Something remarkable? Yes, the anal. Although I’m not an anal fan, I have to say that Bridgett takes it really well.

The fourth scene involves Jenna Jameson, Felicia and Stephanie Swift. That is a really good scene. Jenna is incredibly sexy and play with this two fairies really well. Felicia and Stephanie doesn’t seem to me particularly beautiful but, anyway, Jenna takes the leading role in this scene. Jenna looks better than ever here and she enjoys the girls through all the scene. Good scene.

The fifth scene involves Brad Armstrong, Inari Vachs, and Teri Starr. It’s not a bad scene either, but it doesn’t work for me. I don’t like at all Teri Starr tits and I would have liked a reverse cowgirl with Inari instead of Teri. I really like Inari, she’s great, she can look better than here (she was great in “Euphoria”, for example). There’s a good anal, again, but, however, it’s not a great scene for me.

The sixth scene involves Jessica Drake and Anthony Crane. That’s a good blow job scene. Nothing more to say. A great blow job scene of Jessica Drake. She’s not naked, but at the end of the scene you can see her tits. She doesn’t look specially beautiful here, but the blow job is ok.

The seventh scene involves Jenna Jameson and Alexa Rae. That’s a good lesbian scene if you like toys. Both of them takes some crystal toys and play with each other cunt with their hands. Both of them are good looking and the atmosphere is ok. If you like this girls and what I said above, a good scene.

The eighth scene involves Jenna Jameson and Devin Wolf. Jenna looks really great here. This is a great scene. If you like Jenna Jameson and you like to watch her with men you will enjoy this scene. There’s no anal, of course, but you don’t need it. Easily the best scene of the film.

IN THE END

Direction

Brad Armstrong does an excellent work here, one of his best ones. This is a hard movie to direct if you want to make an elegant and pleasant to watch movie; and Arsmtrong has maiden it. Brad is a versatile director and, without a doubt, one of the best writers/directors in the adult industry.

Production

Incredible, just incredible. Dream Quest worth every dollar that Wicked Pictures and Adam & Eve have spend on it. The setting is terrific and the atmosphere is great, besides the make-up is incredible. I recognised Randy Spears by his voice. He’s one of my favourite actors and I have seen a lot of his films, but I didn’t recognise him; his voice was the only clue. The make-up work on him was terrific. But not only on Randy. Veronica Hart is unrecognisable and the make up job on Herschel Savage was great. Furthermore, the costumes are great, some of the special effects are quite good and the lightning is very good too.

The music is another great aspect of the movie. In some scenes, you feel that the cut from one song to another is too much sudden, but is undeniable that it has a fantastic soundtrack that gives the perfect atmosphere to the movie. The production deserves almost a 10. Great great work.

Acting and screenplay

I’m a great fan of the acting skills of Jenna Jameson. Maybe it is not one of his best works acting (I think Jenna was incredible acting in The Masseuse for example) but she does it really well. From the moment she enters in the Dreamworld, you absolutely believe his role and, as Astroknight said: thorough the movie you can see how “her character changes from a fairly repressed and unsure woman into one confident in herself, which includes her sexuality”. The movie was made in 2000, and she has improved her acting skills a lot since then, but she does a good work acting here. I don’t like at all Devin Wolf, I think he was the worse in the cast. However, the rest of the cast does a good work acting. I want to remark the work of Randy Spears (one of my favourites) as Kronog, and Veronica Hart as the witch and, why not, Asia Carrera as Arachna and Herschel Savage as Vladamir.
Despite having a good story and a good screenplay, I think it could have been better. It doesn’t have too many plot holes, but I missed some scene showing how Fantasy is dying, for example. Or some scene with Jenna put to the test with another riddle like the one with the candles. I think it would have improved the movie. Anyway, Dream Quest has a remarkable screenplay, and, as I always say: a great screenplay (usually) makes a great movie.

Sex

Well, the sex is really good. Maybe, if you read the review of the sex scenes above you would think that is not so good. The sex is great, better than in the most of the Wicked Pictures movies. But to enjoy the sex you have to like the actresses in the scene. If you like the cast you’ll like the sex scenes. Kerkobe, Felecia, Swift, Teri Starr… doesn’t do much for me, so I didn’t enjoy very much their scenes. But if you like them go for it. And well, to enjoy the scenes, I really need to see clearly and completely (or almost completely) the body of the girls. I couldn’t enjoy Inari as she deserves because Armstrong didn’t show her properly (I really like reverse cow-girl, it is for me the best position). At least, you will surely enjoy Jenna Jameson here, she’s great.

What I liked Jenna Jameson, the direction, the whole production (make up, settings, music, lightning…) Kronog’s character, the anal action (unless I’m not an anal fan), the plot, the screenplay…

The best scene/s of the movieThe one that Jenna take a bath in the lake (beautifully filmed and with great music), the scene with Kronog and the witch, and the scene of the meeting and battle with the statue (if it was a little bit longer). About the sex scenes… maybe the last of the film, the one between Jenna and Wolf. Well, all the Jenna scenes, lol.

OVER ALL

What more can I say about this wonderful movie? I read about Dream Quest many years ago. Every review I read about Dream Quest said that it was great, that it was unique. However, I don’t know why but I didn’t get really interested on it. It wasn’t actual reviews, it was just comments, and I hadn’t read about the plot. Last summer (2006), after watching “Pirates” I began to read about adult movies and I found again Dream Quest on several websites. After reading a little bit more, I decide to watch it. And yes, it was better than the reviews said. I really liked the movie the first time I watched it, and I really enjoyed it last week, when I watched again. This film was the first film I saw by Brad Armstrong. Now I’ve seen many tittles by this talented writer/director and he’s one of my favourites directors in the adult industry.

Well, as you can read above this is a great movie to enjoy alone or with a special one. It’s a good couples movie despite having anal sex. Great story well developed and above average acting. Well, nothing more to say but don’t miss it. This is one of the best adult films ever made. Enjoy it.
