Jenna's Revenge (Wicked) Review

Initial Expectations: Pretty high. Brad Armstrong normally makes a top notch adult film and Wicked normally does a great job with their DVDs.

Initial Reaction: Not quite as good as I expected, but I had very high expectations.

Audio /Video Quality: As usual, very good. There are a few problems with the video, as it shows some pixelation and slight grain in a few spots. The audio was very good except that the balance with the music was off a little.

Music: The music is done very well. There’s some great blues in the opening bar scene, and there’s a lot of suspenseful music throughout the rest of the movie. Unfortunately it’s a little loud throughout most of the movie also. I had trouble hearing the dialogue in quite a few spots.

Review: Jenna’s Revenge starts off with a very nice artistic touch. Widescreen, black and white, and an unknown person shoveling. It sets the tone very well for the rest of the movie. We go to full screen color to see Jenna walk into a bar and order a drink. Somehow, everybody in the bar ignores her. Finally Lenny (E. Z. Ryder) pours her a drink after Brad nods to him. She asks about a guy named Ray Hollister, but nobody wants to talk about Ray. Finally Brad comes forth as Ray and they go outside to talk business. This means one of two things. Either Brad is hiring himself out as a clown for little kids birthday parties and doesn’t want the guys in the bar making fun of him, or he’s into something a little darker. Maybe something like murder, since Jenna doesn’t seem to interested in balloon animals. She needs help and wants Brad to whack her husband.

We flash to Jenna going down on Tony Tedeschi in what appears to be their house. It appears to be a big, beautiful house, but it’s kind of hard to pay attention to things like that when Jenna’s wrapping those lovely lips around a nice hard shaft. It’s a nice teaser start to the movie and Jenna takes a nice facial to end the scene. She tells Brad that they started out very much in love, but now he’s completely cold to her. Brad doesn’t want to get involved, but can’t resist when Jenna starts begging him and promises him anything he wants. He finally tells her to call him that night.

We finally meet Tony, or at least Tony with his clothes on. He’s having a business meeting with Eric Price and introducing Eric to a recently promoted Jill Kelly. Jill is instructed to take very good care of Eric. Thankfully takes care of him in the office as soon as Tony leaves. This is one heck of a great full first scene. I’m not sure if I’ve ever seen Jill looking as hot as she does here. Eric does an excellent job also, but Jill is amazing. She oozes sex every instant she’s on the screen before the clothes even come off. This scene was every bit as good as Jenna’s scenes and even better than at least one of them.

Tony arrives home and like most wives, Jenna asks him how his day was. Unlike most wives, she goes ballistic when Tony doesn’t answer right away. Tony suggests that maybe Jenna should start her therapy again, and after she leaves he calls her doctor. The doctor suggests he bring Jenna in to see him soon. Unbeknownst to Tony and the good doctor, Jenna overheard their entire exchange over the kitchen phone. Jenna makes her call to Brad at the appointed time and he makes sure she still wants Tony whacked and gives her instructions on how she should get him the money. She hangs up with Brad just as Tony checks on her in the kitchen to see if she’s coming to bed soon. After he leaves, she cuts her long her to shoulder length. As much of a fan of long hair as I am, it looks even hotter now.

The next day Jenna makes the money drop as she’s supposed to. She adds a little twist of doubling back to see Brad. Brad is a professional and gets really pissed at Jenna for not following his instructions. He suspects something is up with Jenna and questions her on cutting her hair. He’s starting to get that feeling. Not the one that most guys get when Jenna’s around. Well, I’m sure he’s probably getting that feeling too, especially when Jenna’s looking as good as she does in this movie. I mean that feeling that Jenna’s unlucky for him and something is going to go wrong.

Jenna arrives home to find Tony waiting for her and worried about her. If he only knew. To try and stay on her good side, he tells her he has a present for her. She unwraps a blindfold which Tony immediately puts on her before he leads her through the house and out by their pool where he sits her on a chair. He runs his tie over her and finally starts sucking on her tits. Sindee Coxx shows up and takes over for Tony while he gets undressed. She takes off her blindfold enough to see Sindee before Tony puts it back on her. Their action eventually moves to the pool where Jenna gets pissed when she feels Tony fucking Sindee. Believe it or not, Jenna’s kind of the selfish type and doesn’t like to share. She stomps off while Tony finishes Sindee. This was a very hot scene and Sindee and Jenna worked great together.

Brad is still unsure of the situation and spends most of his time at the bar. Jenna refuses to leave him alone and calls him at the bar. Brad doesn’t want to talk to her, but she has Lenny tell him that she’s on her way there to talk to him. Rather than run, Brad finishes his drink while fantasizing of Jenna. In his dream, he’s sitting at the bar while Jenna dances for him on the bar. This is an extremely hot tease scene all done in black and white. Jenna really shows why many consider her the pinnacle of adult film stars.

Somehow Brad is able to keep himself from being a drooling fool when Jenna arrives. She questions his dedication to the job and they take their business outside. Being only a mere mortal, Brad can’t resist Jenna and does her on his jet black Hummer. I was disappointed with this scene. It should have easily been the top scene in the movie having both Jenna and Brad in it, but Jenna seemed to be working the camera way too much. Brad was barely in many of the shots, so it seems that Jenna’s working the camera this way was intentional. I’m sure that for many it won’t matter, but I’ve never been too fond of this style of scene. It really reminds me of many of Tiffany Million’s scenes. Sometimes they’re okay, and some times they’re not. Here, it just didn’t seem to fit with the rest of the style of the movie.

When Jenna gets home Tony’s waiting for her. He was worried because he didn’t know where she was, but he’s more pissed because he knows about Jenna and Brad. She admits to cheating on him and he slaps her. Jenna snaps and goes back to Brad with her face bruised. She wants to speed up Brad’s schedule and have Tony whacked tomorrow night. They’re having a party and everybody there hates him. She thinks this way the police won’t know who to blame and they’ll be able to get away with it easier. Brad agrees and Jenna tells him to be there at ten o’clock before she goes back to her car to wipe off the bruise makeup. Jenna’s great throughout the entire sequence. She flips between the soft, manipulative victim persona and the vengeful bitch very well.

Jill and Eric return to show up at the party. With people like Mark Davis, Vince Voyeur, Ruby, Papillion, and Johnni Black in the crowd, you know that this should be a hot party. Brad however, is running late. He realizes that this has gotten too close and too personal, so he wants to talk to Lenny back at the bar. Luckily, the bar is closed, so Mark Wallice, Billy Glide, and Holly Body can do the horizontal mambo on the pool table. I didn’t expect too much from this scene, mostly because I really do not like Mark Wallice. After leaning why we don’t see him anymore, I have to fight the urge to not fast forward through every scene he’s in. Despite Mark, it’s not too bad of a scene. This is only the second scene I’ve seen Holly in, and she does a good job. They barely finish before Brad starts pounding on the door. Lenny isn’t too happy that Brad’s back after closing time, and even less happy that people are boinking on the pool tables again. Lenny finally tells Brad to do whatever he thinks he has to do.

Things finally get moving at the party between Mark Davis, Papillion, Vince, Ruby, and Johnni. Unfortunately, Jill and Eric have disappeared, but Jenna’s still around to watch. We don’t see much of her either, but several of the camera shots barely catch her leg in the air and fingers stroking away. This is a pretty good orgy scene, but I’ve never been too impressed with either Ruby of Papillion. Johnni, as usual is very good and gets a great facial at the end. In the commentary Brads refers to a waterfall of cum falling from Johnni’s face onto Ruby’s pussy and that’s about what it looks like. The cum shot was second only to Peter North’s gushers.

Finally Brad arrives to kill Tony. Tony, of course, offers to pay Brad double what he’s getting paid now. He barely has time to reject Tony’s offer before Jenna rushes in chewing him out for being late. She pulls a gun on Tony and tells Brad that if he can’t take care of Tony, then she will. Brad starts to realize just how nuts Jenna is and aims at Jenna instead. The screen goes black as we hear Tony screaming ‘No!’ before two shots. You don’t know who lives and who dies until the last moment of the movie. It’s a very good ending. One you’ll just have to see for yourself.

Extras: There are two photo galleries. The main photo gallery is a mix of full screen shots and snap shots. It lasts about three and a quarter minutes with about five seconds per shot. There’s also a behind the scenes photo gallery that is the same automated style. It lasts about a minute and three quarters and also is about five seconds per shot.

Wicked appears to be expanding their trailer selection. Trailers are offered here for Crazed, Flashpoint, Bride of Double Feature!, Satyr, Sex Safari, and Hell on Heels .

Once again, Brad Armstrong gives a Director’s Commentary. Sadly, I think this was the worst commentary he’s given so far. There’s a lot of dead air, and when he does talk, he isn’t really adding that much. The best part of the commentary was when he talked about some of the sacrifices they have to make, such as having sex on the hood of a jet black Hummer with Jenna. Yeah, some sacrifice to boink Jenna. Most guys I know would give up one of their limbs for that.

As usual, Wicked has a web link to their site, the Wicked Casino, and the list of Wicked AVN award nominees and winners. They also have audio biographies on most of the cast. On this DVD they include audio biographies for Jenna, Jill Kelly, Brad Armstrong, Ruby, Tony Tedeschi, and Johnni Black. Each biography offers a link to the star’s scene.

Themes: Straight, lesbian, group, anal, DP, and rimming (both male > female and female > female)

Raincoat Factor: Medium. The plot and sex are fairly well intertwined.

Overall: As usual, Wicked has released another quality DVD. Jenna’s Revenge can currently be found online for between $27 and $30. If you’re a fan of Brad or Jenna’s, you won’t be disappointed, but this still seems slightly high. The audio is okay but needs to be better balanced. The video is very clear but has a few flaws. The extras aren’t as good as normal Wicked extras.

Note to Wicked: This DVD seems to have the same problem many of your other current DVDs, namely the audio balance. There are several spots where I couldn’t make out the dialogue, and even the commentary is barely audible when listened to. For the price your releases command, the consumer shouldn’t have to put up with these problems.
