Private Man 2: Gambler's Delight

Review brief: After being given the option of choosing every language from Italian to Swedish in which to view this DVD, I perversely chose English. That done I was greeted with a montage of playing cards and the bouncy strains of Scott Joplins Maple Leaf Rag. Guess they still remember The Sting in Eastern Europe. The plot doesnt follow this other Redford-Newman buddy pic. (Butch and Sundance were pretty close, too. Hollywood producers are so clueless) in fact the plot here is nothing to worry your pretty little head about. The bodies, on the other hand, are certain to worry another part of your anatomy. It begins with four guys playing five-card draw. One of the guysa young one and my favoriteis winning big time. One of the guys is a big loser (for now at least). A fifth guy enters just as the game is breaking up. The big winnermy future boyfrienddoesnt want to play anymore. (Cards, that is.) He has another game in mind with the newcomer and the dark blond who was the dealer. This game begins with everyone sucking tongues.

Review brief: Nick Lang plays butler to Jangs mistress of the house in the first scene of director Ray Andersons Asian Fever 6. He lights her cigarette, feeds her a slice of watermelon, then takes up a larger slice with which to flavor Jangs nipples. After that, a couple of porn stars have sex. In the second scene, Chocky Ice, playing a horny neighbor, spots Da on her way into his building. He rushes to the elevator and conveniently bumps into her as she steps out. Its the perfect in: he invites her back to his place, serves her a glass of water. Then a couple of porn stars have sex. In the third scenehell, you get the idea. Anderson, like so many of his peers, directs two movies at once. No, hes not a master of multi-tasking, hes a multiple personality. Thats giving him too much credit actually: it takes a certain degree of creativity to form a second personality. I know, I knowthe bottom line in any sex film isnt the situation, the narrative, or the characters, its the sex. But look at it this way. If the plot is just so much filler, it isnt worth watching.

Review brief: I was looking forward to Adam & Eves Adult Stars at Home. I dont know why exactly. I dont typically watch such shows about mainstream celebrities; Im not a particular fan of the Behind the Scenes features that are a regular addition to DVDs. But I do enjoy learning something about the private lives of porn stars. Or maybe I crave reassurance that the people involved are involved by choice. Whatever the reason, I was, as I say, looking forward to watching this film. And, initially at least, I wasnt disappointed. At its best, Adult Stars at Home is hopelessly amateurish, but I expected that. Its even a little amusing the way the cameraman, no doubt so used to filming sex scenes, could never quite work out how to get a good shot of a room in any of the four houses he visits. (Once the amusement wears off, of course, its simply frustrating. Heres one guy whose Hollywood aspirations will never come to fruition.) The home tours are little better: theyre badly paced and meandering.

Its frequently scratchy, the balance changes often, and theres some noticeable background noises. Surprisingly, the video isnt too bad. Its fairly clear with some minor grain, and has some nice and even lighting.

Review brief: One of the more important parts of any sex scene involving men and women is the blowjob. How it's filmed, how long it's filmed, who the performers are, and finally where the popshot will go are all intergal parts in filming this important scene element. There are a few lines out there devoted to this genre but the twist to this particular title is the director is female. As far as I know no other female has directed an all bj flick and also this film was Mason's first and I must say it was an impressive debut. I must say right off there are some aggressive aspects to some of the scenes with one featuring intercutting images of dogs humping by the looks of it and also some slapping/spitting is done. I must stress these images are not enough to take away from the fact that Mason adds some interesting takes on the blowjob and just doesn't give us suck dick and dick shoots out cum.

Since it was free I accepted even though I had very little information about the title. Overall: This DVD definitely makes for an interesting first viewing (though I will spoil that for all of you merely by writing a review). I had no knowledge of what to expect. I didn't even have a box cover to entice me. The titles only listed 2 girls and I wondered if that could possibly be true. The DVD starts with two chicks that look like they just turned 18 five minutes before the camera started rolling. They playfully take pictures of each other and playfully go to the bedroom. It is about 10 minutes into the DVD before you even see them fully naked. The mystery continues as I wonder how long the scene will last and just how far the women will go.

Review brief: Set in a futuristic world (it took me a minute to get this), Falcons Stock series takes us into the wild bordellos of a world where all the women have been obliterated and all the men rule everything. Men are captured and used as stock to service the pleasures of the higher power. Those that do well, survive. Those that faildo not. There are no laws if you are stock. You have a number and that is it. Part 1 is aptly titled Sentenced. Casey Williams was working in the field and the next thing he knows, hes thrown in a stall with the rest of the stock. Theyre all covered in dirt and wearing basic underclothing. Hes scared, but Drew Damon, David Bradley, and Rick Matthews make him feel at home. They share a hot roll in the hay with Gregor Yelson looking on in excitement. I loved the dirty talk here. Drew Damon is really good about making people out to be the fuckpigs they are. And David Bradley was a lot hotter than I expected. His tattoo is correct in labeling him Toxic. I couldnt last in the room five seconds with his carrying on before Id nut.

The audio is very clear and well balanced, without even a hint of background noises. Theres a hint of grain to the video, making it look just a little better than film when its treated as it should be. Theres a slightly artistic feel to the feature that the hint of grain only enhanced for me.

Review brief: Expectations Who knows what to expect? RLD releases have been all over the map, from really good to really bad. I'm not a huge busty fan, but Michelle Wild is a dreamboat so I really need to see this. I guess I'll just keep an open mind and watch. Capsule Review Half of this movie is very good and well worth purchasing. The other half of this movie is forgettable and throw away. Why does RLD have such a difficult time in putting out a consistently strong movie? Technical The audio and video are both relatively clean and crisp. The lighting is adequate. Beware though, this release features RLDs fetish menu that has been known to inhibit standard functions on some DVD players. My home player, for example, is unable to do FF, Rew or Pause within the scenes. Review brief: Expectations As everyone is probably aware, I tend to like Private's releases. This is the second release in their Tropical line, a series that centers on outdoor sex & sun. I'm not a huge fan of outdoor sex, but the first release in this series was good so I'm looking forward to this one. Capsule Review This release is not bad. It features pretty girls in exotic locales. If you like the idea of hot babes in swimsuits getting it on, this release is for you. Technical The video aspects of this disc are very strong. The outdoor lighting provides clear, crisp, consistent video throughout the DVD. The audio on the other hand is typical, badly dubbed Private. Review brief: "Guys Are So Lucky!" This is a fairly hardcore film, but I thought I'd have some fun by reviewing it and including some of my girlfriend's comments. Jill (not her real name) would never be caught dead watching a cumshot movie (alone). She prefers girl/girl, and this is about as far away from that as you can get. But since a film with over fifty cumshots can become a little monotonous - even for me - I thought her perspectives might add a bit of levity. As background, Cumshots #4 (issued in 1999) is hardly the most recent episode in this Anabolic series. The cumshots - served mostly in-and-around a pretty girl's mouth are still quite good. The women don't visually swallow (as they do today), which was a little disappointing; but since it goes in --some of it must go down, right? And how it gets in there is sometimes pretty outrageous! I didn't recognize most of the actresses; and since this movie didn't give any credits, I'll try to do the best that I can (so please bear with me).

Review brief: Love Muffins has a lot going for it: a silly storyline right out the 80s, attractive performers giving good performances, sexual variety, good-looking sets, and high production values. It should have been a better film. It would have been, too, if a better director had been at the helm. I wish it werent so. Jim Enright admits that his viewing preference is girl/girl. He says he was lucky Wicked allowed him to include two girl/girl scenes in this movie, instead of the usual one. I cant help feeling a certain fondness for a guy who bucks tradition in exactly the manner I like to see it bucked. The frustrating fact is, however, that it amounts to very little if hes incapable of giving his scenes, lesbian or otherwise, any real pop. Joelean stars as the inheritor of her grandmothers magic muffin recipe. A secret ingredient, crushed mandrake root, turns the muffins into aphrodisiacs. It takes a bigger woman that Joelean to keep the family secret: she decides to get rich in the muffin-making business.

The quality of the movie is excellent considering the age and it appears to have been transferred directly from film and not from a vhs tape as some of the older classics have been. It doesn't look as good as a new film but it's certainly not a disappointing looking dvd at all. The audio is quite good as well with no noticeable hard to understand spots. The story in this movie is what really sets this movie apart from the crowd. The story in this one is a murder mystery. Amanda (Veronica Hart) a call girl who works for Friday (Jamie Gillis) who talks Amanda into getting 2 of her hooker friends into meeting a client of Fridays for an S&M session. One of the hookers makes fun of the man they meet and he accidentally kills her.

Review brief: Expectations This is the 3rd installment in my vintage Dorcel reviews. This one stars the beautiful Laure Sainclair with Lea Martini, Silvia Saint, Erika Bella and Fovea! What's not to like? Capsule Review Another beautiful porn movie. This flic is extremely erotic, the girls are incredibly hot, the locales are worth watching, the wardrobe is astounding. All I can say is this is great porn! Technical As is true for virtually all of the Dorcel releases, the video, audio, and lighting are wonderful. This is a little older than some of the releases and so I have judged it accordingly. Also, the original French soundtrack is available, so you don't need to do the Private dubbed audio thing here (although an English soundtrack is available as well if you prefer). Review brief: Expectations DVSX discs just seem to keep getting better. I'm really looking forward to this one. Capsule Review It's not bad, but it is definitely not up to the level of Double Parked. The girls are not as pretty, the technicals are not as good, and the sex is not as steamy. But with all of that said, this is still a solid release. Technical The technical aspects of this disc are not bad, but it looks as though DVSX is overcompressing their video streams. This results in some nasty pixelization in some scenes, especially when there is rapidly changing video. This is the first disc of DVSX's where I have seen this problem. Director Constance Le Extras Behind the scenes, bonus scenes, photo gallery Target Audience Barely legal fans Scene Review Scene 1 - Gauge Gauge plays a roller skating teenybopper in this scene. She wears the striped top and denim shorts featured on the disc cover. I have never been a huge Gauge fan, and this scene does nothing to change my opinion. She gives a lackluster performance and looks ok at best.

Review brief: Private Castings 11, which bills itself as a unique collection in which Pierre Woodman takes you behind the scenes and shows you the secrets of his castings and backstage performances, is a film for those who enjoy all those Behind the Scenes features on other discs. Review brief: General Impression When I first put in Plugged In, I got the distinct impression that this was going to be a comedy. I cant say fully if I was in the mood for cheesy porn, but it totally worked by the time I finished. The story goes that Tristan-fuck me- Paris, has received a new cable box in his home. Fernando Montana (who is AMAZINGLY hot) willingly put it in for him and offered to bill him later. The way Fernando spoke at the beginning made me think he was really gay. In the second scene, Chocky Ice, playing a horny neighbor, spots Da on her way into his building. He rushes to the elevator and conveniently bumps into her as she steps out. Whatever the reason, I was, as I say, looking forward to watching this film. And, initially at least, I wasnt disappointed. At its best, Adult Stars at Home is hopelessly amateurish, but I expected that. Its even a little amusing the way the cameraman, no doubt so used to filming sex scenes, could never quite work out how to get a good shot of a room in any of the four houses he visits. (Once the amusement wears off, of course, its simply frustrating. Heres one guy whose Hollywood aspirations will never come to fruition.) The home tours are little better: theyre badly paced and meandering.

Review brief: "Guys Are So Lucky!" This is a fairly hardcore film, but I thought I'd have some fun by reviewing it and including some of my girlfriend's comments. Jill (not her real name) would never be caught dead watching a cumshot movie (alone). She prefers girl/girl, and this is about as far away from that as you can get. But since a film with over fifty cumshots can become a little monotonous - even for me - I thought her perspectives might add a bit of levity. As background, Cumshots #4 (issued in 1999) is hardly the most recent episode in this Anabolic series. The cumshots - served mostly in-and-around a pretty girl's mouth are still quite good. The women don't visually swallow (as they do today), which was a little disappointing; but since it goes in --some of it must go down, right? And how it gets in there is sometimes pretty outrageous! He says he was lucky Wicked allowed him to include two girl/girl scenes in this movie, instead of the usual one. I cant help feeling a certain fondness for a guy who bucks tradition in exactly the manner I like to see it bucked. The frustrating fact is, however, that it amounts to very little if hes incapable of giving his scenes, lesbian or otherwise, any real pop. Joelean stars as the inheritor of her grandmothers magic muffin recipe. A secret ingredient, crushed mandrake root, turns the muffins into aphrodisiacs. The story in this movie is what really sets this movie apart from the crowd. The story in this one is a murder mystery. Amanda (Veronica Hart) a call girl who works for Friday (Jamie Gillis) who talks Amanda into getting 2 of her hooker friends into meeting a client of Fridays for an S&M session. One of the hookers makes fun of the man they meet and he accidentally kills her.

Review brief: Expectations This is the 3rd installment in my vintage Dorcel reviews. This one stars the beautiful Laure Sainclair with Lea Martini, Silvia Saint, Erika Bella and Fovea! What's not to like? Capsule Review Another beautiful porn movie. This flic is extremely erotic, the girls are incredibly hot, the locales are worth watching, the wardrobe is astounding. All I can say is this is great porn! Technical As is true for virtually all of the Dorcel releases, the video, audio, and lighting are wonderful. This is a little older than some of the releases and so I have judged it accordingly. Also, the original French soundtrack is available, so you don't need to do the Private dubbed audio thing here (although an English soundtrack is available as well if you prefer). Review brief: Expectations DVSX discs just seem to keep getting better. I'm really looking forward to this one. Capsule Review It's not bad, but it is definitely not up to the level of Double Parked. The girls are not as pretty, the technicals are not as good, and the sex is not as steamy. But with all of that said, this is still a solid release. Technical The technical aspects of this disc are not bad, but it looks as though DVSX is overcompressing their video streams. This results in some nasty pixelization in some scenes, especially when there is rapidly changing video. This is the first disc of DVSX's where I have seen this problem. Director Constance Le Extras Behind the scenes, bonus scenes, photo gallery Target Audience Barely legal fans Scene Review Scene 1 - Gauge Gauge plays a roller skating teenybopper in this scene. She wears the striped top and denim shorts featured on the disc cover. I have never been a huge Gauge fan, and this scene does nothing to change my opinion. She gives a lackluster performance and looks ok at best.

Review brief: Private Castings 11, which bills itself as a unique collection in which Pierre Woodman takes you behind the scenes and shows you the secrets of his castings and backstage performances, is a film for those who enjoy all those Behind the Scenes features on other discs. It isnt a sex film in the ordinary sense; its more of an extended documentary that shows us how one director introduces himself to potential female talent and then, through interviews, tries to gauge their suitability for his films. Following the interviews, we see the girls in action, in excerpts from photo shoots and movies. Woodmans typical interview takes place in a hotel bedroom. If the girl hasnt heard of him or doesnt know what he does for a living, a couple of explicit magazines within arms reach of the girls help clarify matters. Then he asks them to strip, turn, and, finally, to assume the doggy-style position on the bed, looking back over their shoulder at the camera.

Theyve somehow made good buddies with Alec Martinez, and have concocted a plan to spring out. Once theyve succeeded, they meet up with Cameron Fox and Matt Skyler and manage to have a wild crazy adventure.

Review brief: The prologue is presented in widescreen with a sepia tint giving that western feeling. Scott Bradley in cowboy hat is approached by his blond buddy Steven Hunter who asks Scott if hes going to the fair. Yup, Scott replies in his best Gary Cooper imitation. Hoping to get lucky there? Yup. And we too are hoping they will find some blue ribbon winners. We now cut to full screen and color as the boys arrive at the Antelope County Fair and the credits run over the action. There are a lot of rides at the fair. We see Scott being tossed from a mechanical bull. But it is different ride these boys have in mind. Things begin to look up when Steven runs into his cute Mexican friend Eduardo Rivera and his friend Lex Milan. When Lex and Scott are introduced they and we see fireworks so it is not surprising that they soon leave the other two behind and go off to send up some more rockets. We now cut abruptly to two totally naked guys we have never seen before having sex in a barn. They are Johnny Law and Derek Long.

Review brief: General Impression When I first put in Plugged In, I got the distinct impression that this was going to be a comedy. I cant say fully if I was in the mood for cheesy porn, but it totally worked by the time I finished. The story goes that Tristan-fuck me- Paris, has received a new cable box in his home. Fernando Montana (who is AMAZINGLY hot) willingly put it in for him and offered to bill him later. The way Fernando spoke at the beginning made me think he was really gay. Thank god, by the end of the film, I didnt think that at all. In fact, Im willing to bank that Fernando is gay-for-pay. Sex Highlights A lot of the sex was actually pretty hot! Theres this whole scene with Sam Crockett that like, blows me away. I got the Directors Cut (available only through Falcon) and it has him stuffing screwdrivers and hammer heads all up in Jackson Prices ass. Jackson has one of those Hobbit qualities and would make a good Frodo in the Lord Of The Rings version of porn.
