Vinegar Syndrome has put together a good pairing of films with their release of Bella and Robins Nest. Bella is the highlight of the set and is worth the purchase all by itself. Vinegar Syndrome has added a nice piece from Carter Stevens on Bella as well. The second film, Robins Nest, isn't as good as Bella is but one can think of it is a free extra since Bella is worth the price of admission alone. I remember this movie from when it first came out. It combined two all American passions: Cheerleaders and football. This was the era of NFL cheerleaders posing in men's magazines and TV movies about the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders so the adult industry had no choice but to capitalize on it. But looking back on it now, you can tell the era it was filmed in. The lighting isn’t that good, the sex scenes are short and the women are very average looking. [read the full review]

Length 83:42 Year 1978 This review will be a comparison between the 2 current releases of Debbie Does Dallas by the companies VCX and NuTech. With a review of the movie following. The VCX dvd of Debbie Does Dallas is slightly longer than the NuTech dvd of Debbie Does Dallas. I have seen both and noticed 4 slight cuts to the NuTech dvd. None of which were major. The running time on the VCX dvd is 19 seconds longer than the NuTech dvd, but the NuTech dvd has a better quality picture so I would recommend going with the NuTech dvd over the VCX dvd. The VCX dvd is divided into 5 chapters and there is a pause when the player switches between these chapters. This is not the case on the NuTech dvd as the movie is on one track on the NuTech dvd. The NuTech dvd appears to have been transfered from a film source while the VCX dvd appears to have been mastered from a vhs tape. [read the full review]

Here is a Harold Lime/Robert McCallum classic from 1982 that is still famous over 20 years later. It won six adult film critic awards, including best picture. Because it was filmed near the end of the "golden age," there aren't quite as many exterior shots as there would have been in movies a few years older. The plot involves a madam named Amanda (Veronica Hart) who, as a favor to her former pimp and lover (Jamie Gillis), sets up an S & M session for a local politician. The girls that she sends for this session (Lisa de Leeuw and Samantha Fox) are later found dead. R. Bolla plays the straight-arrow homicide detective trying to solve the case, without much help from Amanda. To make matters worse, there's a corrupt vice squad cop (Ron Jeremy) who is constantly getting in the way. By today's standards, this is couples' fare, with relatively short sex scenes, and loads of plot. It's so good-hearted, it could almost be on the Family Channel. Veronica Hart gets to over-act and ham it up ridiculously. It's a good movie, but a poor DVD. [read the full review]
