Pussycat Ranch Review

Review:
Cheated by an unscrupulous, lustful banker and about to lose their ranch, what's a hard workin' (...and harder fuckin'...) country family to do? Well, if you're Molly Malone and her girls (Samantha Fox, Heather Young, and Daisey Mae), you strike up a partnership with Billy the Kid (Eric Edwards), start up a brothel, and get down to the lucrative business of boinking. Such is the case in "Pussycat Ranch", an overall-good, 1978 release from director John Christopher and Cal Vista. Featuring a campy Old West theme rife with cheesy humor--which sometimes hits the mark and sometimes doesn't--this film will almost certainly not be for everyone. Indeed, a glance at some of the other reviewers' scores tells me that it may not be for most people. That said, I personally found it to be a particularly fun, little, roll-in-the-hay of a fuck-flick, with as many bizarrely endearing elements as erotic ones. To be sure, Samantha Fox and company are in top form here, as is the lovely, raven-tressed Arcadia Lake (who plays the banker's not-so-virginal daughter). Her furtive, flexible fuck with Eric Edwards in her bedroom whilst daddy's away alone makes this one worth the price of admission. [Arcadia was a spectacular performer who never fully got her due (RIP).] Moreover, the storyline is as fun as it is absurd. Sure. It jumps the shark when the ranch instantly turns into a bordello with a full clientele literally overnight, but--if anything--this just adds to the charm of this flick not taking itself too seriously. Even in its failures, it manages to succeed. As such, I found it to be inherently watchable from start to finish, and I truly enjoyed it for what it is. For more about its downside, feel free to consult the other reviews out there and decide for yourself. (Perhaps I'm simply too easily amused... or just simply simple. Who's to say?)

In terms of the sex, Scene One has the ready and randy ladies at the ranch, Samantha Fox, Heather Young, and Daisey Mae, convincing a Gomerish farmhand, Roger Caine, to stick around without getting paid. Of course, the way that they go about this is by using the power of their pussies out in the barn. There's some carpet-munching and light girl-girl activities that transpire, but it's Fox who sucks and fucks Caine until he pops on her backside. In Scene Two, Eric Edwards (as Billy the Kid) slips in through his slender girlfriend's (Arcadia Lake's) window to pick up both her and the money that she's accumulated for them. Not one to go unsated, Lake demands that Edwards take care of her needs, first...which he does with passion. Arcadia's looking incredible here in her thigh-high, black, leather boots and her period-specific garb, and Eric takes her orally and vaginally in a super-hot, super-flexible schtupping. He eventually unloads in a spurting, hands-free pop on her ass and back out of belly-down rear-entry in capping off this fine fucking. (This sequence is one of pure beauty. So hot!) Scene Three brings together Samantha Fox and Eric Edwards (Billy the Kid) in a back bedroom at the ranch, after the latter uses his infamy to impress the pants off of the former (literally). Fox hardly has a chance to get his dick in her mouth when she's joined by Heather Young, who's also looking for some outlaw action. They both suck him off and then the farmhand, Roger Caine, joins the fray, as well. The quartet breaks off into two duos, with Samantha taking Eric, and Roger nailing Heather. The action that ensues is supposedly (at least in part) anal for both ladies, and it does look as though that's the case (especially for Fox), though the camera angles and shadows obscure the actual penetrations. In finishing off the fun, Samantha takes a no-hands (other than providing a slight assist herself) cum-shot from Edwards on her backside, while Young also gets a load on her ass. Nice! As this is all going on, Joey Silvera (Eric's bad-guy sidekick) takes the other young woman at the ranch, Daisey Mae, into another back bedroom and fucks her until he squirts his jizz all over her tummy (Scene Four). In Scene Five, the brothel is miraculously up and running, and Samantha Fox is all sorts of enthusiastic for her first client, the local sheriff, Don Peterson. He's quick to get up, ready, and to pop when she blows and jerks him. Despite his quick misfire, he gets it back up well enough for a cowgirl fucking and some smooth, 69 action. Scene Six also takes place at the bordello, this time with Daisy Mae offering up the goods-for-cash to the well-to-do R. Bolla. A fairly brief, oral and vaginal romp ensues and culminates in Mae jerking a load out of him and onto her tummy and bush out of missionary. Generally, this one is both hot and--albeit supremely cheesy--a lot of fun. I really liked it.
