Spitfire review summaries:
fu_q's
From its catchy opening score, cleverly-cut credits, and nostalgic shots of old-school New York City, it''s clear that the audience is in for a fun and sexy treat with "Spitfire", an exceptional 1984 release from director Cecil Howard and Command Video. Reproduced beautifully at Hotmovies.com, this production is in many ways pornographic poetry in motion from start to finish. Exquisitely captured and edited, this film is centered around a corrupt professor-turned-politician (R. Bolla) whose "chastity belt" agenda has caught on nationally and is bringing in millions. Of course, he''s actually a perv and a fraud, his daughter (Tigr) is an insatiable nymphomaniac, and his wife (Samantha Fox) is a gold digger in every sense of the word. Needless to say, the storyline is intricate, well-crafted and comical, the acting is superb throughout, and the end result is a true Golden Age classic that should not be missed. Scoundrels review summaries:
fu_q's
Living a superficial, upper-middle class life with his mundane, flimsy facade of a family, a mediocre psychiatrist (Ron Jeremy) finds himself stuck with an unfaithful wife (Lisa B.), who's cheating upon him with his best friend (George Payne) and also their daughter's quasi-boyfriend (Sean Eilliott). Thrown into the mix is said budding, but "invisible" daughter (Tigr), who's covertly exploring her own sexuality in all manner of bizarre and dangerous ways. Of course, for his part, Ron is cheating with a slew of prostitutes and his clingy secretary (Copper Penny), who happens to also be banging Payne, as well. On top of it all, Ron finds himself harassed throughout the film (during cut-scenes) by a large, talking white light, the identity of which is fairly easy to figure out, though it isn't formally revealed until the end of the flick. Such is the case in "Scoundrels", a very good, 1982 release from Command Video and acclaimed director, Cecil Howard. [read the full review]

Scoundrels (Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack) review summaries:
Flash's
Scoundrels is an excellent feature adult film from the golden age of adult films. The film was crafted with care and it shows in the end results. Scoundrels is a rather dark drama that uses hardcore sex along with the non-sexual portions to tell a story, instead of just having a story that exists to have sex scenes. Scoundrels is a must see for fans of feature-style adult films. Command Video has done an amazing job with their limited collector's edition Blu-ray and DVD combination package for Scoundrels with stellar image and audio quality and a wealth of extras. Vinegar Syndrome has, yet again, put out a beautiful release of classic adult films with this entry in their long-running Peekarama series. This entry features two very different films from prolific adult film director Shaun Costello. Afternoon Delights is one of the best of the vignette films that was ever made by the adult film industry and Slave of Pleasure, the third and final entry in the Dan McCord series, is a hokey detective tale. This release is worth picking up for Afternoon Delights alone. Vinegar Syndrome has done a beautiful job with the audio and video quality on this release. [read the full review]

Gums (Sinful Mermaid) review summaries:
Flash's
Gums is cheesy and corny adult comedy that only could have come out of the environment of the 1970s. An adult spoof of Jaws, Gums manages to provide humor and a story that is truly unique to the film. Where else can you find a killer cock sucking mermaid, Brother Theodore playing a Nazi, and cum shooting puppets? If you are a fan of the more bizarre comedic side of adult cinema, Gums is a must see. Unfortunately, Sinful Mermaid's release of Gums only brings us the softcore version of the film and offers a poor picture with good audio. [read the full review]

I've watched a fair number of "classics" and most of them suck. This one's actually pretty good. It attempts to be a little better than the average porno without turning into a pretentous piece of shit. The original film was quality and the DVD transfer is done well. Best of all you get some stars when they were young and smoking, like Sharon Mitchell and Joanna Storm. I don't know why I've never heard of this one beforeif you like films from that era (about 1983), it's definitely worth a look. [read the full review]

Captain Jack's
I remember this movie from when it first came out. It combined two all American passions: Cheerleaders and football. This was the era of NFL cheerleaders posing in men's magazines and TV movies about the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders so the adult industry had no choice but to capitalize on it. But looking back on it now, you can tell the era it was filmed in. The lighting isn’t that good, the sex scenes are short and the women are very average looking. [read the full review]

Little Darlin's is a fun barely legal title to come from David Buckley. The story is lighthearted and the sex scenes are fun. The film mixes in some nice humor throughout. Debbie Does Dallas continues to be an extremely popular adult film even to this day and is likely one of the best known of all adult films. The story of Debbie, a cheerleader, is one that transcends time and remains as fresh then as it does today. Debbie Does Dallas isn't the greatest adult film ever made but it certainly is fun to watch. If you haven't seen it yet and you are a fan of the genre, it is time to correct that. Wacky World Of X-Rated Bloopers review summaries:
fu_q's
"Wacky World of X-Rated Bloopers", an overall-decent, 1989 release from Gourmet Video and narrated by Kimberly Carson, is exactly as its name would imply--a collection of bloopers and behind the scenes material from a number of 1980's releases. Funny moments, true missteps, wood issues, and micromanaging directors are all highlighted. A number of stars from the era make appearances, some more so than others, and the release does provide a nice look at life on a porn set from a time period when BTS material really wasn't mass-produced and readily available. While it's not so much a production to get off to, it's certainly interesting and reasonably worth a watch. [read the full review]

Public Affairs (Caballero) review summaries:
fu_q's
It's sex, lies, and audiotape, when a corrupt, hypocritical politician (Paul Thomas)--whose anti-porn campaigning is almost as flagrant as his ass-obsessed womanizing--opts to make a run for the Senate in the state of New York. Of course, behind him are myriad sordid characters, including a lowlife pimp (Joey Silvera), a more-and-more jealous by-the-minute assistant (Annette Heinz), and a German real estate tycoon seeking favors (R. Bolla)...all aiding him in maintaining both his campaign and his false, squeaky clean image. The only person standing in his way? A courageous reporter (Annette Haven) who's both onto his game and looking to show him for who he really is. Such is the case in "Public Affairs", a very good, 1983 release from Caballero and director Henri Pachard. [read the full review]

Debbie Does Dallas & Devil In Miss Jones: Box Set review summaries:

VCX's Ultimate Classic Collection combines two of VCX's most popular classic adult films Debbie Does Dallas and Devil in Miss Jones. Devil in Miss Jones is a dark drama that is a must-see adult classic. The story of Justine Jones, who commits suicide and finds herself trapped in between heaven and hell, holds up well and the sex scenes and acting make this a true classic. Again, this is an adult film that if you haven't seen it yet, it is time to correct that. There are far better versions of the two films out on the market. [read the full review]

Offering up spicy fantasies in juxtaposition to the banality of everyday life, "Babylon Pink" follows the lives and carnal conjurings of a variety of city women of differing ages and social standing, some related more closely than others. Indeed, this exceptional, 1979 release from Cecil Howard and Henri Pachard contrasts the vibrance of the sexual imagination with the sadness of reality and its drab dickings in such a way as to highlight the superiority of the former as it exists in the unsated longings (and lustings) of its multiple characters. Bambi Woods is back and as naively naughty as ever in "Debbie Does Dallas 2", a very good, Golden Age release from director Jim Buckley and Caballero. Corporate Assets (VCX) review summaries:
fu_q's
It's a dark and lonely world for a corporate prostitute, Tish Ambrose, who, despite having all of her material needs met and then some, only finds true happiness in the letters of a mentally troubled war buddy, Eric Edwards, of her deceased brother. Indeed, Tish appears to have it all as the longstanding head-lady of R. Bolla's cadre of corporate cuties, who provide sexual services to both the better employees of his firm and corrupt politicians alike, yet her heart yearns to quench its emptiness. It's solely Edwards' writings that can fill this void, so it's with great happiness that she greets him when he finally gets up the courage to surprise her with a visit. Of course, this doesn't sit well with Bolla, her boss, whose strong-arm tactics clash with the pair's feelings for one another violently. How it will all end up--happily or in blood...or both--remains the unanswered question of the day. Such is the case in "Corporate Assets", an exceptional, 1985 release. [read the full review]

Satisfiers Of Alpha Blue, The review summaries:
andyblake's
This 1980 New York production may be the only Gerard Damiano video I've ever seen. Typcially, "golden age" adult movies are pretty tame by today's standards. That isn't the case with this one. Right away there's an anal scene, followed shortly by a double penetration. There's also a scene where a man is penetrated by a dildo. In the original movie, there was a fisting scene and a golden shower scene, both of which have been cut from this dvd (and, unlike Arrow's DVD of "Candy Stripers" are unfortunately not hidden in an easter egg). The plot involves a futuristic society called "Alpha Blue," in which the prevailing custom is sex without commitment or attachment. Herschel Savage (early in his amazing three decades-long career) is happy with this state of affairs, but R. Bolla pines for the good old days of love and romance. Bolla decides that he will woo Satisfier 805 (Lysa Thatcher) into falling in love with him. Bottom line: this is an amazing classic feature, one of the best golden age movies not made by Henry Paris (aka Radley Metzger). [read the full review]

Trouble With Young Stuff, The review summaries:

Between the appearance of an ever-ready, Elvis-like milkman (Sonny Landham) who sexually services the women of the neighborhood and a returning, free-spirited, 18 year-old-cousin (Jenny Baxter), life is certainly about to get a whole lot less mundane for a trio of young, suburban women. Such is the case for Crystal Sync and Marlene Willoughby, both sexually frustrated and prone to frequent masturbation, and their promiscuous friend, Nancy Dare, in "The Trouble with Young Stuff", an exceptional, 1976 release from VCX and director Joe Sarno. Joe Sarno (here as Otis Hamlin) writes and directs THE TROUBLE WITH YOUNG STUFF (1976) as farm girl Alice Anne (Crystal Sync) takes in her younger cousin Matilda (Jenny Baxter) who disrupts the order between the two couples living in the apartment. Sarno has been down this road before creating terrific features (both hard and soft core) that use an oversexed female as the catalyst for most of the film's sexual activities. In this hardcore production, he mixes lesbian encounters with blowjob and some straight sex action as the out-of-work female characters carry on in their bedrooms with little time spent outside their apartment. 1 hour 36 minutes. Standard frame. [read the full review]

Gerard Damiano once again exhibits his flair for the dramatic in "Odyssey", a very good, 1977 release from the legendary Golden Age director and VCX / Alpha Blue Archives. Featuring three short tales of tail in one release, this production is more of an aggregation of short adult films than it is one, single body of work. [read the full review]

Picking up where the third installment left off, the sexually sociopathic Raven, having now effectively sucked her family dry and left them in ruins, moves on to the men and women of Hollywood. There, she uses her coldhearted, do-anything approach and extraordinary good looks to quickly work (...and fuck...) her way to the top...leaving yet another trail of victims in her wake. Taboo American Style: The Ruthless Beginning (Fat Dog) review summaries:

All isn't right in suburbia, as the children of a well-off family headed by Paul Thomas and Gloria Leonard intermingle with the offspring of one of their poorer workers, R. Bolla. Indeed, the various inter-family relationships start out fairly typically, though still seedy and sexual in nature, but quickly spin and tangle into a wicked web of deceit and perversion as more and more secrets are uncovered. At the center of it all is the diabolical, black-tressed instigator, Raven, Gloria's and Paul's clearly disturbed 18-year-old daughter. Such is the case in "Taboo American-Style 1", an exceptional, 1985, incest-themed release from Henri Pachard and Fat Dog Productions. [read the full review]
