Scent of Heather, A Review

This is a golden age classic from the early 1980s, featuring that all-time porn queen Veronica Hart. She had one of the best natural bodies ever in porn, and it is showm off frequently in this film. Most of you know that she is still in the business today as a director and producer. (I recently watched one of her films, "Love's Passion", and listened to her excellent director's commentary with Juli Ashton).

The plot is that "Heather" is the daughter of a wealthy man and, in order to prevent his estate from reverting to a charity hospital, Heather must be married by a certain time. So the other beneficiaries of the estate arrange for her to be married to the gardiner's son (played by PT - Paul Thomas). On the wedding night, just before the marriage is consummated, they learn that they are half siblings, sharing the same father. They resolve never to have sex, but they both have needs. PT avails himself of the female staff, including Vanessa del Rio, and arranges behind the scenes for other men to help Heather with her needs. All sorts of sexual hijinks ensue.

The problem with this film, aside from some astonishingly ugly footwear and hosiery, is that many of the scenes are underlighted by today's standards. While this film is a pleasant diversion, Veronica Hart's considerable charms are better displayed in other films of the era, including "Wanda Whips Wall Street" just to name one that I've seen recently.
