Review brief: I am not a big Christophe Clark fan, but in order to watch most of the high quality Dorcel flicks he seems to come with the territory. On the other hand, Deborah Wells is something to get excited about and is the lead character in this feature film. For stockinglovers, this one is a top ten for you. 90 of the girls wear stockings. The added fetish content revolves around the suggestive rape theme loosely based on that late 80's academy award willing cannibalistic thriller (for reasons of liability I will not state the film's name to protect this site bit when you see Christophe, you'll know what I'm talking about). The first three scenes have Wells sitting on a couch watching three poor ladies get violated. Review brief: Length: 84:20 Year: 1975 The Opening Of Misty Beethoven has everything that makes a great film and not just a great porno. It is funny, cute, sweet, and very sexy. In my opinion everything came together perfectly in this film to make it maybe the best porno of all time. This is certainly the best porno I have seen in my admitedly rather limited viewing of the genre. VCA has done a superb job with this dvd they have included a commentary track with the star of the movie Jamie Gillis and supporting actress Gloria Leonard. They both provide interesting tidbits about the film and its making and about the other actors and actresses that took part in the film. The audio quality is excellent. The video quality is pretty good there is a problem with a lightening at the top and bottom of the screen but it is not too distracting, but this is the only problem with the video of note. Review brief: Sunrise (a.k.a. Private Tropical 2) is a film directed by an Italian, featuring talent from the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Australia, shot on location in Cannes, France, and Santo Domingo in the Caribbean Islands. And it proves, if nothing else, that sex has no national boundaries. Sunrise is, I suppose, a couples film. That is, it has a plot, takes a more romantic approach to lovemaking (in setting if not always in mood), and focuses almost exclusively on the male/female bond. The story involves an island in the Caribbean that two rival development companies wish to purchase for its potentially lucrative possibilities as a tourist resort. Caught in the middle are Suzy and Jamie, two co-workers who end up on opposite sides in this battle for the beaches. The film is offered in several different languages with at least four subtitle options. What isnt clear is whether the actors are speaking a common tongue. Indeed, I rather doubt it.

There are minor issues with shadows and soft focus shifts, but the mix of camera angles is extremely pleasing. (Because of the unfortunate legal issues that plague the BDSM genre, no vaginal penetration is ever directly shown. But Affliction does contain explicit footage of oral penetrationwith a dildoin conjunction with bondage.) The music is limited to a haunting instrumental theme at the beginning and end.

Review brief: I just viewed a teen video from Metro called Teen Patrol and found out I liked it more than I thought I would. Here we have the second entry into the Teen Spirit series and while it is good for the most part it doesn't live up to the other title I spoke of and it certianly isn't close to the Bringum Young or Barely Legal lines which also cater to the teen market. Having said that there are a couple of cuties I am looking forward to here-- Aurora Snow and Alexis Malone both are cute and shouldn't disappoint. Our first scene features two ladies, Dolorian-- a blond with braces, and Estefana-- who has a killer set of boobies and a cute face. We get a little interview with each girl where she tells us her age and usually when she lost her virginity. Leonardo, a young beauty is strolling through the streets carrying an umbrella with the logo Sunnyday. Review brief: Length: 84 minutes Year: 1980 The Budding of Brie starring Hillary Summers revolves around the story of her and how she screws her way to the top in Hollywood and becomes a big star. This is a very classy looking film and looks like it had a very high budget. One thing I didn't like about the sex scenes was the excessive talking during them especially because they only had rather stupid things to say to each other. If they had had sexy things to say then it would have been ok but as it was this did not help the film. The video quality of this film is great as is the audio quality of this dvd. VCA has done a great job. I have bought a few VCA dvd's and have been impressed with all of them in terms of audio and video quality. There is a commentary track included with Jim Holliday and Shayla LaVeaux although this is not as informative as on some of the other classic VCA dvd's as neither of them was involved with the making of this film.

Review brief: Expectations While this is not a Michael Ninn picture per se, it is billed as being directed by Ninn protege Laurent Sky. I expect it to be very Ninn-ish. The cool thing about this release is that it is a 2 disc set with disc 1 labeled as "Artcore" and disc 2 labeled as "Hardcore". I'm looking forward to seeing the difference as I think the "Hardcore" may be more to my liking. Capsule Review This is a good release. It is extremely Ninn-ish and I'm pretty much at a loss to see the Laurent Sky original elements here. This is one of the dark style Ninn features (think Latex or Shock). Lots of industrial equipment and grunge abounds everywhere. But there is no psycho plot to accompany the whole thing, rather it is pretty much incidental video. The girls look great and the care inherent in this release is obvious. As for the Artcore/Hardcore thing, it is not nearly as radical a difference as I had hoped. The Artcore disc is typical Ninn. The Hardcore disc is mostly the same without the overwhleming pulse of the music and with a little less video editing.

One thing I didn't like about the sex scenes was the excessive talking during them especially because they only had rather stupid things to say to each other. If they had had sexy things to say then it would have been ok but as it was this did not help the film. The video quality of this film is great as is the audio quality of this dvd. VCA has done a great job. I have bought a few VCA dvd's and have been impressed with all of them in terms of audio and video quality. There is a commentary track included with Jim Holliday and Shayla LaVeaux although this is not as informative as on some of the other classic VCA dvd's as neither of them was involved with the making of this film.

Review brief: Expectations While this is not a Michael Ninn picture per se, it is billed as being directed by Ninn protege Laurent Sky. I expect it to be very Ninn-ish. The cool thing about this release is that it is a 2 disc set with disc 1 labeled as "Artcore" and disc 2 labeled as "Hardcore". I'm looking forward to seeing the difference as I think the "Hardcore" may be more to my liking. Capsule Review This is a good release. It is extremely Ninn-ish and I'm pretty much at a loss to see the Laurent Sky original elements here. This is one of the dark style Ninn features (think Latex or Shock). Lots of industrial equipment and grunge abounds everywhere. But there is no psycho plot to accompany the whole thing, rather it is pretty much incidental video. The girls look great and the care inherent in this release is obvious. As for the Artcore/Hardcore thing, it is not nearly as radical a difference as I had hoped. The Artcore disc is typical Ninn. The Hardcore disc is mostly the same without the overwhleming pulse of the music and with a little less video editing.

Review brief: Expectations I'm never quite sure how to anticipate a Ninn release. As most of you are aware, Ninn is not your average porn director. He tends to have a very stylistic approach that, quite frankly, I sometimes love and I sometimes hate. This is the first release in his new Lost Angels series. Each volume will feature one actress in all of the scenes. Capsule Review This is a very good release. While it has all of the audio/visual elements that trademark a Ninn movie, it is not as dark and forboding as many of his releases. And Nikita is a very attractive star for the first of this series. Technical The audio is very good and very clear, although the music is very dominant as well. The video is basically good, although the quick cuts and stark contrasts cause some pixelization for the DVD mastering. Initial Reaction: This one night stand should have been put to bed much earlier. Who Should Watch It : Extreme fans of the cast Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting good technical aspects or a lot of hot sex Audio /Video Quality: The audio has a decent balance, but theres a loud hum in the background at some points. The video has a fair amount of grain and lousy lighting. It looks pretty close to a second generation VHS copy. Music: Its the typical loud and cheesy music that made porn in the early nineties so easy to make fun of. Menus: The main menu has a small clip of the movie. There is no chapter menu, which makes the DVD feel really cheap. The Feature: Randy Spears is having a mid-life crisis.
