This is one of the best quality adult films I have ever seen. The only problem with the entire DVD is in the commentary. I thought that the commentary was a little too quiet, especially Raven Touchstone. I had a hard time hearing most of the comments she made. The Plot: Jenna Jameson plays Fawn Deering, a college student researching animal mythology and human sexuality. This leads her to Dr. Jade (Asia Carrera) for an interview. While there, she meets Adam (Brad Armstrong) and is drawn to him. Sophie the maid (Missy) warns her to leave Jade Manor and never look back, but Fawn cannot resist Adam's invitation to return that weekend to observe a bacchanal.

Review: Vortex is one of the few adult films which raises your expectations throughout the first five minutes, and then meets them throughout the rest of the film. From the box cover I was expecting a 'Quantum Leap' spoof, although Vortex is more of a parallel of it. Similar to Quantum Leap, Juli Ashton plays a scientist experimenting with psychic time travel. Apparently our bodies can't be transported through time, but our minds can be (although the bodies seem to disappear). Mike Horner is a rival scientist on the project who believes that everything is ready to go and that Juli is dragging the project out too long.

Review brief: I consider this as a feel-good and romantic gay porn movie. The best part is that the entire cast includes all new faces that bring a breeze of fresh air. Shot in Netherlands, the movie features all young and handsome Dutch actors. The DVD transfer quality is smooth, much better than those of Sunshine releases. Who may like it: People who like twinks, young and smooth bodies, into Europeans, foreskins. Also people who are of romantic type because the whole movie is accompanied by a background music featuring romantic piano solos and melodies that could be best played in a night with your date and candles lighted around you. Who may not like it: People who look for sweaty and raw sex may be disappointed. This may not be the movie for those who like body builder type of porn stars. Some movies do not list their cast members; this is unfortunately one of those. The movie tells a story about a young man who took an Erotic Stimulator pill and landed in the gay heaven and subsequently saw many gay sex scenes.

Review brief: Pre Viewing Expectations The case boasts five language tracks, which I found impressive. You can listen to this feature in English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish. There are 13 photos on the case showing the various costumes and locations featured in the movie, but all are non-explicit and don't show what types of action one can expect. There is a good write-up of the plot, saying it is a modernized perverse twist on the story of Macbeth. It notes the feature is about two hours. Overall, this gives one a good sense of what to expect within. The Main Event Overall there are eight scenes in this movie. There is a nice variety of action, ranging from female only scenes, to male/female parings, to three-ways and a seven person orgy on a table. The sets are interesting, as are the sets. There are scenes set in a castle, and others wich look like they were shot in a war zone. A nice change from the typical bar, poolside, or bedroom sets. There is consistent comdom usage, good to see given its recent filming.

Review brief: Pre Viewing Expectations Wow, the case says this feature is over three hours. This will be the first porno I've watched that is longer than most main stream motion pictures. There is a bit of a write up about the plot, but it expects one to have watched the first one in the series (which I have not). Also noted are the 11 scenes and the 33 girls staring in this feature. Mention of filling Jill Kelly's three holes is also made. The Main Event As promised on the case, there are eleven sex scenes in this movie. Most are typical male/female parings. There are a couple of group sex scens, including the "all holes filled" scene. This doesn't involve three men, but two men and either a dildo or pussy to occupy the third opening. Not exactly air tight, and a bit disappointing. Many of the scenes are quite long, to the point of being too long. I found myself getting bored with this, often noting it was time they moved on to something new. The plot is supposed to revolve around a car wash, which is going mobile to make money.

Review brief: Pre Viewing Expectations There isn't a listed running time, but it is noted to be the Directors Long Cut. Too bad the case doesn't give any clue as to what type of action is here, the photos are all non-explicit. The synopsis is rather terse, telling more about the introductions done by Jim and Jill rather than about the action. Unless you are a fan of Jim Holliday or Jill Kelly, there isn't much here to catch one's eye. The Main Event Plot? You want a plot? They start out with a bunch of segments revolving around a basic theme of coeds who do anything to improve their grades. Somewhere, this theme, basic as though it is, gets lost, and the scenes become purely sex scenes, with little dialogue other than the dirty talking. For the scenes which do follow the plot, they are unscripted, letting the actors do a bit of improv. This shows, as the dialogue is slow and at times a bit forced. It does allow for some funny lines which wouldn't have normally been written.

Review brief: Never let it be said that I don't go the whole nine yards to give you, the discerning porn connoissier, the very best in adult DVD reviews. I work hard at giving you the most thorough, accurate and humorous reviews that I can. Sometimes, I have to make sacrifices in order to give you the best review in exchange for the time it takes to read them. In the case of today's DVD, the Texas Dildo Masquerade, I went out and rented the movie that inspired this tale of lost teenagers in a wilderness of terror. Yes, I actually watched the Texas Chainsaw Massacre in order to catch any reference that the director may throw at you. I suspect that the director is a fan of the original horror movie and he wanted to show, in his own way, that he enjoyed the cult classic and pay homage to the archetype of the slasher films. He failed. The Plot: Okay, check this out. Four impressionable "youths" are driving through the countryside to check on the gravesite of one of their number's grandfather.

Review brief: I really don't know what to make of this bukkake thing. I'm a big fan of facials, and when I heard about American Bukkake, it sounded tailor-made for me. On paper, it's everything a cumshot fanatic could ask for - beautiful girls taking endless rounds of semen point-blank in the face. While no-one could argue that the movie fails to deliver exactly that, and although, during the moments I'm not feeling somehow guilty about watching this perverse charade, I think it's a work of depraved genius, it does seem that there's some indefinable, intangible factor missing. Let's take a guided tour of the movie's three scenes: Envy (28 cumshots): I chose AB2 over AB (which I haven't actually seen), because the thought of even the tiniest droplet of cum polluting the heavenly face (and body) of Envy necessitated a swift change of underwear. Needless to say, I wasn't disappointed. The scene starts with the delectable Envy wandering into a barn, replete with hay bales, and removing her crop top and bikini briefs.

Review brief: The intrigue of Raw goes beyond watching attractive people have sex, beyond enjoying a well-written, funny film. Raw speaks about the varying facets of the porn industry, drawing a sharp contrast between the productions of an Antonio Passolini (the writer/director) and the fuck flicks of Pierre, the director portrayed in the movie. I don't want to sound like I'm writing a college thesis here, but Raw is a lot more than plot, dialog and sex. Raw speaks volumes about the porn industry and even includes actual locations (The Stage) and extras from within the industry (I recognized a couple faces from porn sets.) Joel Lawrence, this film actually stars a man, plays a phenomenal reluctant porn star who rises to the top, becomes an ass, and hits rock bottom. Kylie Ireland has a great performance as his innocent fiance turned sexual dynamo. And Hershel Savage is a perfect producer/agent. Great casting. Great acting.

A few spots are missing music, so all you hear is the wind. Then, when they decide to have music, it often overpowers the rest of the audio. The video quality would be okay, but I think lot of the camera work was done by somebody who probably isn't even old enough to watch the movie. The Plot (or at least as close as I could come to one): Sandi and Steven camping in the desert and meet a friend or two while there. A mysterious woman appears to all of them at some point. The Review: I really wish that Kylie wasn't in this movie, because if it wasn't for her, I wouldn't have watched it. The Layne Parker films I have seen are normally a lot better than this.

There are like two really hot girls in the entire movie. But This alone is not enough to redeem this DVD. Music: No music! Scenes: Let us generalize the entire DVD as a loose collection of unrelated scenes.

The movie was made in 1994, and is not grainy. The sound matches the video very well. The sex scene camera work is also quite good. There aren't an over abundance of beaver - cam shots, and the sex scenes are normally quite well filmed. The other camera work is average at best, but I'll get into that later. The Plot: Not much. Review: "I hate you Jack, but I can hate you in the bedroom" Missy tells Steve Drake late in the movie. That's kind of how the entire movie goes. Steve Drake plays Jack, a guy who is only concerned with sex. Apparently that's what made him have to leave town. We start with Jack returning to town on a freight train and calling Missy for a ride. I started disliking the movie about half way through the car ride home.

Review brief: The Plot: As you can tell from the title, this is part three of a series. I really wish I'd seen the first two. I might know a bit more where these people were coming from. I dropped this happy disk into my DVD player, expecting a fairly brainless ho-hum, low budget porn flick. I should have paid more attention. Two clues went right by me until I watched the opening credits. Clue number one: This is VCA putting out this DVD, so they have the talent. Clue number two: Executive producer is Antonio Passolini. Aha! As far as I can gather, the Upsilon Sigma Sorority has apparently been using voodoo rituals to kidnap fraternity guys to use them for breeding purposes. The girls stay young and fresh through depraved rituals, and use the guys for stud service whenever they feel the need or want children. I don't really see the problem, but I suppose the guys don't like being kept around and screwed silly every now and then. Whatever. Anyhow, our movie starts with the capture of the latest recruit for stud service.

Review brief: For my money, VCA remains the leader in the DVD market when it comes to high quality transfers of their back video catalog. Despite their mandatory condoms policy and use of the multiple angles graphic in many of their releases, VCA is synonymous for hot sex featuring their gorgeous contract women, so the consumer can hardly go wrong with their line of DVDs. My hopes rose a little when I saw that she wrote the script for Voices. Within the first 5 seconds after the opening credits, my hopes started to pay off. Also people who are of romantic type because the whole movie is accompanied by a background music featuring romantic piano solos and melodies that could be best played in a night with your date and candles lighted around you. Who may not like it: People who look for sweaty and raw sex may be disappointed. This may not be the movie for those who like body builder type of porn stars. Some movies do not list their cast members; this is unfortunately one of those. There is a good write-up of the plot, saying it is a modernized perverse twist on the story of Macbeth. It notes the feature is about two hours. Overall, this gives one a good sense of what to expect within. The Main Event Overall there are eight scenes in this movie. There is a nice variety of action, ranging from female only scenes, to male/female parings, to three-ways and a seven person orgy on a table. The sets are interesting, as are the sets. Review brief: Pre Viewing Expectations Wow, the case says this feature is over three hours. This will be the first porno I've watched that is longer than most main stream motion pictures. There is a bit of a write up about the plot, but it expects one to have watched the first one in the series (which I have not). Also noted are the 11 scenes and the 33 girls staring in this feature. Mention of filling Jill Kelly's three holes is also made. The Main Event As promised on the case, there are eleven sex scenes in this movie. Most are typical male/female parings. There are a couple of group sex scens, including the "all holes filled" scene. This doesn't involve three men, but two men and either a dildo or pussy to occupy the third opening. Not exactly air tight, and a bit disappointing. Many of the scenes are quite long, to the point of being too long. Review brief: Pre Viewing Expectations There isn't a listed running time, but it is noted to be the Directors Long Cut. Too bad the case doesn't give any clue as to what type of action is here, the photos are all non-explicit. The synopsis is rather terse, telling more about the introductions done by Jim and Jill rather than about the action. Unless you are a fan of Jim Holliday or Jill Kelly, there isn't much here to catch one's eye. The Main Event Plot? You want a plot? They start out with a bunch of segments revolving around a basic theme of coeds who do anything to improve their grades. Somewhere, this theme, basic as though it is, gets lost, and the scenes become purely sex scenes, with little dialogue other than the dirty talking. For the scenes which do follow the plot, they are unscripted, letting the actors do a bit of improv. This shows, as the dialogue is slow and at times a bit forced. It does allow for some funny lines which wouldn't have normally been written.

Review brief: I really don't know what to make of this bukkake thing. I'm a big fan of facials, and when I heard about American Bukkake, it sounded tailor-made for me. On paper, it's everything a cumshot fanatic could ask for - beautiful girls taking endless rounds of semen point-blank in the face. While no-one could argue that the movie fails to deliver exactly that, and although, during the moments I'm not feeling somehow guilty about watching this perverse charade, I think it's a work of depraved genius, it does seem that there's some indefinable, intangible factor missing. Let's take a guided tour of the movie's three scenes: Envy (28 cumshots): I chose AB2 over AB (which I haven't actually seen), because the thought of even the tiniest droplet of cum polluting the heavenly face (and body) of Envy necessitated a swift change of underwear. Review brief: The intrigue of Raw goes beyond watching attractive people have sex, beyond enjoying a well-written, funny film. Raw speaks about the varying facets of the porn industry, drawing a sharp contrast between the productions of an Antonio Passolini (the writer/director) and the fuck flicks of Pierre, the director portrayed in the movie. I don't want to sound like I'm writing a college thesis here, but Raw is a lot more than plot, dialog and sex. Raw speaks volumes about the porn industry and even includes actual locations (The Stage) and extras from within the industry (I recognized a couple faces from porn sets.) Joel Lawrence, this film actually stars a man, plays a phenomenal reluctant porn star who rises to the top, becomes an ass, and hits rock bottom. Kylie Ireland has a great performance as his innocent fiance turned sexual dynamo. And Hershel Savage is a perfect producer/agent. Great casting. Great acting.

The Review: I really wish that Kylie wasn't in this movie, because if it wasn't for her, I wouldn't have watched it. The Layne Parker films I have seen are normally a lot better than this.

Review: "I hate you Jack, but I can hate you in the bedroom" Missy tells Steve Drake late in the movie. That's kind of how the entire movie goes. Steve Drake plays Jack, a guy who is only concerned with sex. Apparently that's what made him have to leave town. We start with Jack returning to town on a freight train and calling Missy for a ride. Review brief: Save for a few high school language classes in French, my interest and exposure to European culture is limited to a few childhood episodes of THE BENNY HILL SHOW (which I watched mainly for the occasional glimpses of female nudity in his skits). Why go to any other country when America has hot and cold running water, automatic ice cube makers, Quarter Pounders with cheese (as opposed to "Royales" with cheese) and porn superstars from Ginger Lynn to Racquel Darrian to Tera Patrick? Well, at long last, thanks to Private Video, I have found a reason to expand my cultural tastes beyond the sacred borders of the United States.

Review brief: The Plot: As you can tell from the title, this is part three of a series. I really wish I'd seen the first two. I might know a bit more where these people were coming from. I dropped this happy disk into my DVD player, expecting a fairly brainless ho-hum, low budget porn flick. I should have paid more attention. Two clues went right by me until I watched the opening credits. Clue number one: This is VCA putting out this DVD, so they have the talent. Clue number two: Executive producer is Antonio Passolini. Aha! As far as I can gather, the Upsilon Sigma Sorority has apparently been using voodoo rituals to kidnap fraternity guys to use them for breeding purposes. The girls stay young and fresh through depraved rituals, and use the guys for stud service whenever they feel the need or want children. I don't really see the problem, but I suppose the guys don't like being kept around and screwed silly every now and then. Whatever. Anyhow, our movie starts with the capture of the latest recruit for stud service.

Review brief: For my money, VCA remains the leader in the DVD market when it comes to high quality transfers of their back video catalog. Despite their mandatory condoms policy and use of the multiple angles graphic in many of their releases, VCA is synonymous for hot sex featuring their gorgeous contract women, so the consumer can hardly go wrong with their line of DVDs. Of course some movies are better than most, and in the case of the LOVE'S PASSION, some are merely above average.

The picture is very clear and the audio matches it throughout the movie. There was only one spot where I didn't think the audio quite matched the video. The Rest: I had some fairly high hopes when I first watched 'Voices In My Bed'. Ashlyn Gere has always been one of my favorite adult film stars, and I'm hoping she makes a comeback soon. My hopes rose a little when I saw that she wrote the script for Voices. Within the first 5 seconds after the opening credits, my hopes started to pay off. The camera work was excellent from the start, switching between color and black and white shots with some chains hanging down rattling.

Plot: This is set up like a Video Magazine chronicling the history of Private. Each scene is supposed to represent some venture and time point in Privates history. Likes: Most compilation movies are just hours and hours of the same thing.
