Plot Synopsis: Professor Mike interviews new girls asking them to describe a fantasy of theirs that he makes happen. The format is the same throughout the series: interview, girl gets naked, girl masturbates for a bit, then the fantasy begins. Although the fantasy scenarios are scripted, the dialogue and interviews appear to be natural.

Review brief: Let me start by saying that I like Latin and Hispanic men. And I like hot sex. And I even like trade. What I don't like is street urchins lured by drugs & cash to do something in which they have to interest and into which they put no soul. The three couplings in this DVD are lackluster performances by three pairs of young (?) men who I am sure were street hustlers past their prime when this video was originally taped and who have hopefully long since retired. A/V quality is lackluster; extras are non-existant (as is plot); acting is poor and, with one very marginal exception, based on the performers' looks, even the cat wouldn't have dragged them in.

Review brief: FALLEN ANGEL II, 111 minutes Titan Media/Atomic (Distributors) Directed by Robert Kirsch & Bruce Cam Featuring: Kyle Brandon, Mike Roberts, Alex Stone, Jackson Reid, Frank Parker, Josh Perez, Thomas Lloyd, Damon Page, Harold Creg, Tripp Doyle REPORT CARD: C+ The original Fallen Angel was a great video success, winning lots of awards in 1998, and spawning two sequels so far. The DVD edition also turned my head around--making me understand, to some extent, the thrill of authentic leather S&M. I wish I could report that FA2: Descending, as they call it in the opening credits, lives up to the original. But how often does that happen? The film has its moments, but there's little here that will thrill anyone other than die-hard fans of the performers or the sub-genre. Firstly, the entire movie is one long orgy sequence, with no real form or continuity. While the guys are undoubtedly into what they're doing, the action is too similar for too long, too constant and unfocused. There are no real beginnings and endings.

Pretty unrealistic setups with about a minute or two of small talk before the hardcore starts. I'm paraphrasing here, but this is one of the plots: Sitting by the pool, "What do you want to do?" "I don't know." "Have you ever tried anal sex?" "No." "Do you want to, right now?" "Okay." There go the clothes... General Comments: I could spend all day pointing out the problems with this feature. Aside from the "there's no way in hell that could happen" setups, the dialogue makes the women sound not just naive, but decidely underage. Same thing with the pigtails, braids, and shaved pussies--it makes them look downright illegal.

How do you review an award-winning softcore porn title which consists mostly of re-used footage? In this case, all of Arousal's couples scenes were shot for Titan's gorgeous hardcore Island Guardian and Desert Train, so first I'd recommend those DVDs over this one--for most of us who are actually interested in sexual activity... Titan calls Arousal "a fine art coffee-table book come to life"--and that's a pretty good description. Cam & Kirsch know how to find stunning scenery--human and otherwise--and film it well. Taken on its own merits this DVD is beautiful, well-made and, yes, arousing as hell--if the sight of gorgeous studs passionately kissing and rubbing against each other for 82 minutes sounds worth a purchase or a rental. (Don't confuse this softcore with the kind usually referred to as "cable porn"--which includes real or simulated sex edited non-explicitly.

Review brief: I picked up Diva Girls a few weeks ago, and it barely leaves my player! The disc is amazing! 25 of the hottest women in the industry in SOLO scenes. Now that may or may not be your cup of porn, and I admit, some of the scenes are just too short, or dont do it for me, but 90 of the disc is fantasitc. The performers include :Anna Malle, Asia Carerra, Avalon, Rebecca Lord, Vicca (a fave!) Laura Palmer, Cortknee, Jeanna Fine and 18 others! Each woman has her own scene, and inbetween is a brief but entertaining look at them, out of character. Sometimes these are as good as the scene itself. The scenes range from a dominatrix styled Jeanna Fine, to the light and cuddly types. There are some nice bonuses on the disc. There is an interview with Michael Ninn. There are also some two on two all girl scenes and a few hotter scenes that you have to find a key to unlock. All worth it! However, you do have to have a liking for female masturbation...

Review brief: When the biggest flaw in a porno is really bad hair you know it has to be good. And when a pornos opening scene takes place in a trailer park you know its going to be funny. This movie covered everything from humor to sensuality to orgasmic spirituality. OK theres not really anything spiritual going on, but Peaches (Keishas) spiritual quest definitely gets her some libidinal bounty.Peaches, the wonderfully innocent trailer park girl begins her journey at the ravenous Dr Thunderpussys office, where she gets feverously fingered by the good doctor (who then pleases herself with a blowup doll in the backroom.) Review brief: THE URGE Directed by Jim Steel Vivid Studios The Urge stars Devyn Foster and Marco Rossi, two of the hottest muscleboys of the 90s, complete with GQ faces and amazing abs. With a well-known director and studio behind them, I figured the chances were good for something steamy... Well, yes and no. There's plenty of fake steam, in fact. In two scenes. Plus a fake alley, a fake locker room, a fake industrial plant... If you never thought bad set design could ruin a film, take a look here. You want to shoot in the studio rather than on location? Fine! But this movie appears to have been filmed onstage at your Aunt Matilda's small-town community theater. And with a similar budget. In fact, colored stage lights were used rather than movie lights--casting inadvertant red and green shadows across all the performer's bodies. There's not an actual skin-tone in sight. Of course, the set and lights get plenty of competition. It's hard to imagine a lamer script. There's supposed to be a story going on here, but I defy anyone to actually follow it.

Review brief: DESERT TRAIN Directed by Kirsh & Cam Titan Media / Atomic (Distributors) REPORT CARD: B Desert Train features perhaps the most gorgeous photography ever shot in the U.S. for a gay porn film. Stunning camera work, and extremely fine music. The editing is top-notch too, if a bit leisurely. And the cast is outstanding--almost every man here is guaranteed to make you jump to attention, so to speak. Still--it manages to add up to less than it should. Titan's main directors--Bruce Cam and Robert Kirsh--can be an infuriating team. They know just what it takes to make great films, and they rank among the best in gay porn for craftsmanship and artistry. Yet their hard-core footage is often poorly planned, uneven and rushed. The sex scenes vary drastically in length, and the "pretty scenery" begins to feel like padding after a while. In Desert Train, for example, Adriano Marquez--one of my current favorites, featured on the DVD cover--is almost completely wasted in a scene which, according to the production notes, was interrupted while filming.

If you know and love Ryan, this is a must-have! If not-- it may still be worth your consideration. Great guys, nice scenery and solid action. Six scenes: four duos, a group and a solo... The story? A friend bets Ryan that he can't "last the weekend" with just one guy, tricking him into spending some time on a farm in the midwest. Ryan, of course, not only loves the farm eventually, but falls for the farmer... First up: the buff and beautiful--but wooden--Marco Rossi and his "lover" play around the pool. Review brief: Wow, what a DVD. Flashpoint may be the best all-around adult title that I have seen. It has great looking performers, great sex scenes, a half-decent plot and Jenna Jameson. What else could you ask for? Flashpoint is about a fire station full of gorgeous, horny firefighters. It's like the hottest porn stars in the industry are firefighters in their day jobs. Brad Armstrong has created a title that will be high on most people's favorite porn list. I really liked the alternate audio track feature of Flashpoint. You can listen to the director's commentary throughout the movie. It provides an interesting perspective on the making of the movie and some of the challenges involved. I recommend you watch this one straight through once before checking the director's commentary out. You'll have a greater appreciation for the planning, production and basic hard work that went into making this DVD. I could go through the play-by-play details on this one (I never do so why start now) but I won't ruin it. It's really worth picking up to see for yourself.

Review brief: Electric Sex has the best extras of any adult DVD that I have seen. The behind the scenes stuff shows the creation and editing process for some of the special effects in the movie. The special effects rival those of many mainstream Hollywood titles. I was very impressed. Electric Sex has been filmed, mastered and edited better than most DVDs out there. You won't be disappointed in the quality of the video and audio in this one. I wish I could say the same for the sex scenes. They couldn't keep my interest for more than a few minutes. The film's star, Jewel De'Nyle, looks a bit scary throughout most of the movie. I suspect that was the intent. I'm not into scenes with patent leather body suits, lipstick lesbians with translucent dildos, bondage gear and the like. I buzzed through some of this stuff in x30 mode and before I knew it the movie was over. I didn't catch a plot if there was one. I moved on to the extras and didn't fast forward once.

Review brief: Cream On seemed like a good concept for a spoof. The inspiration for this title was the original HBO series Dream On. It was a hilarious series about a guy that grew up in front of television set and has ironic flashbacks to classic moments in television. A porn version of it could have been great. Cream On does have a few oddly placed viedo clips like the original series however they don't really seem to fit in and they certainly aren't funny. They are more of a distraction than anything. The cover of Cream On features Lexus in an interesting pose perched atop a TV set. I was expecting her to be the main character. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that Heather Hunter is actually the featured performer. This is the first DVD title I have seen with Heather and certainly won't be the last. She is now one of my favorite Vivid girls. Heather plays the part of an executive for a magazine publisher. Lexus, Heather's boss, orders her to start including more sex in the magazine because sex sells.

Review brief: Search for the Snow Leopard is one of the best adult DVDs that I have seen. It's got great looking performers, decent acting, wonderful camera work and a real plot. Snow Leopard features Asia Carrera on a quest to find a rare and endangered species. Asia is awarded a research grant which takes her away to a ficticious land in search of the elusive creature. This may be the best that I have seen Asia. She looks great and the plot gives her the oppurtunity to act a bit as well. The opening scene has Asia waking from a nightmare of her father's quest for the snow leopard. (Her father never returned form his travels.) She walks out on the balcony into the night air under a star-lit sky to think and try to relax. Her husband wakes up and joins her on the balcony. What follows is an amazing blow job scene. Asia meets an arrogant James Bonn at the grant awards ceremony. (James thinks that he is going to win and is quite cocky about it.) Ashton Moore is introduced in this scene as a social sciences professor of sorts.

I wish I could report that FA2: Descending, as they call it in the opening credits, lives up to the original. But how often does that happen? The film has its moments, but there's little here that will thrill anyone other than die-hard fans of the performers or the sub-genre. Firstly, the entire movie is one long orgy sequence, with no real form or continuity. While the guys are undoubtedly into what they're doing, the action is too similar for too long, too constant and unfocused. There are no real beginnings and endings.

Review brief: I picked up Diva Girls a few weeks ago, and it barely leaves my player! The disc is amazing! 25 of the hottest women in the industry in SOLO scenes. Now that may or may not be your cup of porn, and I admit, some of the scenes are just too short, or dont do it for me, but 90 of the disc is fantasitc. The performers include :Anna Malle, Asia Carerra, Avalon, Rebecca Lord, Vicca (a fave!) Laura Palmer, Cortknee, Jeanna Fine and 18 others! Each woman has her own scene, and inbetween is a brief but entertaining look at them, out of character. Sometimes these are as good as the scene itself. The scenes range from a dominatrix styled Jeanna Fine, to the light and cuddly types. There are some nice bonuses on the disc. There is an interview with Michael Ninn. There are also some two on two all girl scenes and a few hotter scenes that you have to find a key to unlock. All worth it! However, you do have to have a liking for female masturbation...

Review brief: When the biggest flaw in a porno is really bad hair you know it has to be good. And when a pornos opening scene takes place in a trailer park you know its going to be funny. This movie covered everything from humor to sensuality to orgasmic spirituality. OK theres not really anything spiritual going on, but Peaches (Keishas) spiritual quest definitely gets her some libidinal bounty.Peaches, the wonderfully innocent trailer park girl begins her journey at the ravenous Dr Thunderpussys office, where she gets feverously fingered by the good doctor (who then pleases herself with a blowup doll in the backroom.) Review brief: THE URGE Directed by Jim Steel Vivid Studios The Urge stars Devyn Foster and Marco Rossi, two of the hottest muscleboys of the 90s, complete with GQ faces and amazing abs. With a well-known director and studio behind them, I figured the chances were good for something steamy... Well, yes and no. There's plenty of fake steam, in fact. In two scenes. Plus a fake alley, a fake locker room, a fake industrial plant... If you never thought bad set design could ruin a film, take a look here. You want to shoot in the studio rather than on location? Fine! But this movie appears to have been filmed onstage at your Aunt Matilda's small-town community theater. And with a similar budget. In fact, colored stage lights were used rather than movie lights--casting inadvertant red and green shadows across all the performer's bodies. There's not an actual skin-tone in sight. Of course, the set and lights get plenty of competition. It's hard to imagine a lamer script. There's supposed to be a story going on here, but I defy anyone to actually follow it.

Review brief: DESERT TRAIN Directed by Kirsh & Cam Titan Media / Atomic (Distributors) REPORT CARD: B Desert Train features perhaps the most gorgeous photography ever shot in the U.S. for a gay porn film. Stunning camera work, and extremely fine music. The editing is top-notch too, if a bit leisurely. And the cast is outstanding--almost every man here is guaranteed to make you jump to attention, so to speak. Still--it manages to add up to less than it should. Titan's main directors--Bruce Cam and Robert Kirsh--can be an infuriating team. They know just what it takes to make great films, and they rank among the best in gay porn for craftsmanship and artistry. Yet their hard-core footage is often poorly planned, uneven and rushed. The sex scenes vary drastically in length, and the "pretty scenery" begins to feel like padding after a while. In Desert Train, for example, Adriano Marquez--one of my current favorites, featured on the DVD cover--is almost completely wasted in a scene which, according to the production notes, was interrupted while filming.

Review brief: IDOL COUNTRY, 90 minutes directed by Chi Chi LaRue HIS Video REPORT CARD: A- Ryan Idol was one of the biggest superstars of early 90's gay porn. (He's still around today--back in the business and doing well, after some very troubled times.) This hot, and sometimes silly, star vehicle was made during the height of his popularity. If you know and love Ryan, this is a must-have! If not-- it may still be worth your consideration. Great guys, nice scenery and solid action. Six scenes: four duos, a group and a solo... The story? A friend bets Ryan that he can't "last the weekend" with just one guy, tricking him into spending some time on a farm in the midwest. Ryan, of course, not only loves the farm eventually, but falls for the farmer... First up: the buff and beautiful--but wooden--Marco Rossi and his "lover" play around the pool. Fuck-wise, not a bad scene, but a bit lacking in camera-angle variety. Second, the party scene. Ryan gets serviced by (and fucks) a pair of guys, including TJ Sloane, as another pair watch and jack off.

Review brief: Wow, what a DVD. Flashpoint may be the best all-around adult title that I have seen. It has great looking performers, great sex scenes, a half-decent plot and Jenna Jameson. What else could you ask for? Flashpoint is about a fire station full of gorgeous, horny firefighters. It's like the hottest porn stars in the industry are firefighters in their day jobs. Brad Armstrong has created a title that will be high on most people's favorite porn list. I really liked the alternate audio track feature of Flashpoint. You can listen to the director's commentary throughout the movie. It provides an interesting perspective on the making of the movie and some of the challenges involved. I recommend you watch this one straight through once before checking the director's commentary out. You'll have a greater appreciation for the planning, production and basic hard work that went into making this DVD. I could go through the play-by-play details on this one (I never do so why start now) but I won't ruin it. It's really worth picking up to see for yourself.

Review brief: Electric Sex has the best extras of any adult DVD that I have seen. The behind the scenes stuff shows the creation and editing process for some of the special effects in the movie. The special effects rival those of many mainstream Hollywood titles. I was very impressed. Electric Sex has been filmed, mastered and edited better than most DVDs out there. You won't be disappointed in the quality of the video and audio in this one. I wish I could say the same for the sex scenes. They couldn't keep my interest for more than a few minutes. The film's star, Jewel De'Nyle, looks a bit scary throughout most of the movie. I suspect that was the intent. I'm not into scenes with patent leather body suits, lipstick lesbians with translucent dildos, bondage gear and the like. I buzzed through some of this stuff in x30 mode and before I knew it the movie was over. I didn't catch a plot if there was one. I moved on to the extras and didn't fast forward once.

Review brief: Cream On seemed like a good concept for a spoof. The inspiration for this title was the original HBO series Dream On. It was a hilarious series about a guy that grew up in front of television set and has ironic flashbacks to classic moments in television. A porn version of it could have been great. Cream On does have a few oddly placed viedo clips like the original series however they don't really seem to fit in and they certainly aren't funny. They are more of a distraction than anything. The cover of Cream On features Lexus in an interesting pose perched atop a TV set. I was expecting her to be the main character. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that Heather Hunter is actually the featured performer. This is the first DVD title I have seen with Heather and certainly won't be the last. She is now one of my favorite Vivid girls. Heather plays the part of an executive for a magazine publisher. Lexus, Heather's boss, orders her to start including more sex in the magazine because sex sells.

Review brief: This is the best I've seen in interactive DVD. Don't look for a movie in the new Dyanna Presents series, because these DVDs aren't movies - more like visual toys.The way this virtual sex DVD works is that you navigate through menus and submenus. Firstly, you choose Inari or Sky, two young, beautiful blondes. Then you choose teasing scenes or sex scenes. Then position.To simplify I'm going to break this down into treasures and flaws (not in any kind of order):TreasuresInari - she's naturally beautiful and has the perfect personality to make you feel like she is doing everything just for you. Did I mention Real Boobs!Menu - the first menu is so well done. When you click on a girl she talks to you and shows her stuff asking you to pick her. Very cool.Dyanna - her narration gives the disc a homey feel. And she's great in the behind-the-scenes. Review brief: Search for the Snow Leopard is one of the best adult DVDs that I have seen. It's got great looking performers, decent acting, wonderful camera work and a real plot. Snow Leopard features Asia Carrera on a quest to find a rare and endangered species. Asia is awarded a research grant which takes her away to a ficticious land in search of the elusive creature. This may be the best that I have seen Asia. She looks great and the plot gives her the oppurtunity to act a bit as well. The opening scene has Asia waking from a nightmare of her father's quest for the snow leopard. (Her father never returned form his travels.) She walks out on the balcony into the night air under a star-lit sky to think and try to relax. Her husband wakes up and joins her on the balcony. What follows is an amazing blow job scene. Asia meets an arrogant James Bonn at the grant awards ceremony. (James thinks that he is going to win and is quite cocky about it.) Ashton Moore is introduced in this scene as a social sciences professor of sorts.
