Trouble (Ultimate) Review

A mid-1990s production, TROUBLE is a foreign made video starring Vivid Girl and former Seymore Butt's sex toy Taylor Hayes. Although Stephen St. Croix also appears, both have their lines dubbed in English, which kind of reminds me of those classic Godzilla movies where non- Japanese actors had distinctly overdubbed voices. In any event, TROUBLE (not to be confused with the Tori Welles minor classic from Caballero Video) is a very hot, sexy video thanks entirely to Taylor's heated performances. Raven- haired, thin, with a cute over-bite and always smiling attitude, Taylor gives every scene her sexual-all, as she seems determined to arouse even the most jaded viewer with a white-hot performance...naturally, she succeeds.

Taylor appears in three of five scenes including a straight threesome with cute Eurobabe Monica and the always reliable Steven St. Croix, a fantastic foursome, a straight scene with some lucky bastard, and finally another threesome to end the movie. Needless to say, she absolutely burns in each one of them. For those fans who are more intimately familiar with Taylor from Seymore Butts' point of view (usually composed of a tightly shot close-up of her giving him head and then turning around to face the other direction as he penetrates both holes), it is almost refreshing to see her filmed in an slightly different style. This is not to denigrate Seymore's style; indeed, he is my absolute favorite gonzo videomaker and has created some all-time classics (including the controversial TAMPA TUSHY FEST). However, Michael Santangelo's camera work takes the time to lovingly appreciate Taylor's hardbody, focusing on her great legs as it does on her nicely enhanced chest. It's almost a shame that Taylor later became of the elite "Vivid Girls' after she stopped performing in Seymore Butts movies, because it's clear that she lacks any inhibitions when it comes to sex.

The sex is perfectly captured with well-composed medium shots, particularly in a torrid girl-girl- girl-guy foursome when she makes out with one girl, while another sucks his cock. Taylor's blowjob skills are always full of energy, she engulfs each of her partner's shaft like a sword- swallower, and takes anal like it were a perfectly natural act of love (I guess for some people it is). During her girl-girl scenes, she locks her mouth onto each girl's snatch and doesn't let go until they bump and grind into orgasmic bliss. For those who like orals, facials and cum-swapping, Taylor is always at the front of the line to receive a healthy splash of liquid genetic code.

I don't mean to turn this review into an "Ode To Taylor Hayes;" but, I have to give credit where credit is due. Even if you prefer blue-eyed blondes over dark-eyed brunettes, her natural charm and sexual wherewithal will have you entranced...guaranteed.

The non-Taylor scenes include a threesome with a cute, but not spectacular brunette and two guys, and a bathroom fuck and suck where Steven is paired with Elizabeth King. In any other film, these scenes would be notable, but Taylor trumps them all.

Interestingly, this some of the footage on this video can also be seen in DEEP BEHIND THE SCENES WITH SEYMORE BUTTS, VOLUME 2, which was a documentary of sorts on this very production. In fact, in some scenes, the footage taken by Seymore's camera is preferred because video is clearer and has been transferred to DVD better. TROUBLE has a soft, almost washed-out look which does not obscure any part of the action, but certainly does not flatter this apparently high quality production. Unlike videos from Private or Video de Marc Dorcel, this European release does not look as clear as it should, which is probably the fault of the technicians behind the transfer. Therefore, DEEP BEHIND, VOL. 2 would be a perfect companion piece to this movie, if only for the improved visuals.

There are no extras on this disc, other than the standard scene selection and a bland promotional screen for the Adam & Eve website. However, this is a film which fortunately does not need any added features, although the over-dubbing and questionable picture quality could have used a bit more tender loving care

Despite the video's shortcomings, this is one great Taylor Hayes vehicle which means that this is scorching sex flick. It has a permanent place in my DVD collection.
