Audio Quality: Dolby Surround, so it's pretty good. There's a moment or two when you hear some background noise, but overall it's very good.

Video Quality: Average. The picture is pretty good for most of it, but there's a couple spots where the picture gets really grainy.

Music: Light classical for a lot of it. The music blends extremely well with most of the movie so that it isn't even really noticeable. The places when I thought to pay attention to the music it fit perfectly.

Initial Expectations: I've heard that this is a great couples film. I think that Asia is one of the best adult actresses out there right now, but Adam & Eve hasn't had many high quality DVDs out there. I expected the film to be above average, but the DVD to be lacking as a whole.

Initial Reaction: About what I expected.

Disc Problem: DVD stopped approx. 4 minutes into the movie and returned to the main menu.

Review: As unusual as it seems to be in current adult films, 'Wildflower' revolves pretty equally around Melony (Asia) and Jonathon (Devon Wolf). Every scene in the movie except for one involves one or both of them.

Jonathon is a gardener who picks up a new job at an abandoned mansion. His first day there, he arrives just as Stacy Valentine and her girlfriend finish having sex by the pool, after they clean it. Stacy's girlfriend has an uneasy feeling the somebody is watching from inside the house, although neither of them have seen anybody in the months that they have been working there. Jonathon also senses somebody watching and jimmies a lock to check it out. He doesn't find any signs of anybody, but loves the house. He brings his girlfriend (Jill Kelly) there at night for a romantic spot lit with candles. Jill hears somebody while he's going down on her, and when they finish they both hear something.

The next day, Jonathon finds boxes of flowers on the patio. As he's planting them, he sees Melony at the other end of the patio walking across to see the flowers. As soon as Melony realizes she's been seen, she rushes back into the house, quickly followed by Jonathon, who returns a book he borrowed from the house and meets her.

Melony has hidden herself inside the house for three years and is starting to feel that it's time for her to journey back into the real world. We then see some of Melony's past through flashbacks and why she has hidden herself away. Jonathon slowly brings her back into the real world, teaching her about nature and of course, sex. Through flashbacks, we see Jonathon's lecture on sex, and later Melony's sexual past. Throughout the entire exchange between Jonathon and Melony, we feel their love grow and feel Melony slowly come out of her shell.

The real highlight in 'Wildflower' is Asia's performance as Melony. She does an excellent job at playing Melony as she slowly comes out of her shell, yet yearns to go back into her house where there is nothing that can hurt her. You can feel her as she slowly gets used to Jonathon being around. When she's taken out, you feel that she's only comfortable with Jonathon. When he leaves her at the booth to get drinks at the bar after they dance, you can feel her anxiety at being separated from him.

If you're looking for really hot sex, you may not want to look here. Don't get me wrong, the sex isn't bad, it's just very tender between the couples. The flashback scenes are more of a montage than anything. As Jonathon lectures Melony on sex, he's with a different woman for each thing he describes. The flashback to Melony's sexual past also cuts between her with 3 or 4 different partners. This wasn't meant as wanking material. The other negatives to 'Wildflower' are the typical problems with Adam & Eve's DVDs. The picture quality lacks and there are hardly any extras.

Raincoat Factor: Low. There's only 2 sex scenes in the first half hour.

Overall: 'Wildflower' makes a great couples movie once you get past the gratuitous lesbian scene in the beginning. The sex is very tastefully done, and the plot is very slowly developed. Although I don't think Devon Wolf is the best actor out there, he does a respectable job playing Jonathon. Asia really shines throughout the movie as the tormented Melony who is trying to break out of the prison she put herself in. Both Asia and Devon do a great job balancing their characters and their sex. Once again, Adam & Eve doesn't give squat for extras and the picture quality is lacking in parts. If you're in the mood for a couples film, don't let this stop you from picking up 'Wildflower'.
