Running Time: 88 min.
Director: Don Marque
Cast: Kurious, Vivian Valentine, Selena Del Ray, Julie West, Herschel Savage, Roy L. Shaft, and Jeremy Irons
Extras: Trailers and Photo Gallery
Audio Quality: Average. Some parts are pretty good, others show signs of echoing.
Video Quality: Excellent. One of the clearest pictures I've seen in adult films.
Music: Pretty average. There are a few spots where it doesn't seem to really fit, but overall it isn't too bad. It also balances fairly well in most of the movie.
Initial Expectations: Nineteen College Girls #28 was a lot better than what I would have expected it to be, so I was expecting another really fun porno with really good looking young girls and not much plot.
Initial Reaction: Slight disappointment.
Review: Perhaps my expectations were raised too high for 'Nineteen College Girls Vol. 25' after watching 'Nineteen College Girls Vol. 28' a few weeks ago. Like the rest of the series, 'Nineteen College Girls Vol. 25' is made up of several short segments ranging from about 15 minutes to about a half hour. Due to the length and the overall subject, you don't (or at least shouldn't) watch this expecting great plot or acting. It's about the sex.
'Theodore', the first story, is the last confession from Theodore Bundy before he's 'escorted away'. Apparently Theodore's huge killing spree was caused by his girlfriend (Kurious) cheating on him. He showed up at her office to find her getting it on with Herschel Savage. Of course, he watches the entire thing from outside. I expected a little more humor from this. Instead it was played pretty straight, which disappointed me a little. Also, the sex seemed kind of boring.
Next in line is 'Dreamer' in which Roy L. Shaft dreams about the new girl (Selena Del Ray) who's working for him. The scene is broken into a few different dreams as Roy tosses and turns a little in his sleep. He starts dreaming of her stripping, and the next dream she's teasing him. Finally, he dreams of having sex with her. Throughout each scene, she has a rose which is laying beside him when he wakes up. This was done much better than the first scene. The progression from stripper to tease to sex was done quite well, and I enjoyed Selena's performance as she seemed to be enjoying herself through much of it herself.
Third, is 'G. I. Joey'. Joey (Jeremy Irons) is a down on his luck kid who's brother OD'd and looks to be headed down the same road. He borrows money for bus fare from Julie's brother to go join the Army. A few months later he writes Julie to let her know how things are going. He shows up at her door another couple weeks later telling her that he's been thinking of her every since. Of course, she feels the need to thank him properly, but she really looked bored throughout most of the scene. She looked like her enthusiasm carried through to Jeremy. He wasn't even fully hard when they started having anal sex and it took him a while to get hard. Julie's lack of enthusiasm really brought this scene down for me.
Finally, Herschel Savage returns in 'Blame It On L. A.. Herschel's longtime friend comes to visit him in LA with his wife and daughter (Vivian Valentine is listed in the movie, although the box lists Tanya French). The daughter likes older men and tries seducing Herschel when her parents are away. Herschel doesn't want anything to do with her since he's such good friends with her father, but cant' get her out of his head after he catches her masturbating. Finally, he gives in and wakes her up as he kisses her all over (it'd be a pretty boring scene if he didn't give in). This was the best scene in this volume. Vivian showed some good talent for acting in the story parts of the section and was also good in the sex scenes. The biggest drawback is the huge tattoo Vivian has was a big turn - off for me.
The main problem for me watching 'Nineteen College Girls Vol. 25' is that most of the girls have some huge tattoos. For me, a lot of the appeal of the 'young' women is the innocence If a girl has a tattoo that covers a quarter of her stomach (such as Vivian Valentine) and side or a bunch of smaller tattoos and a pierced tongue (such as Kurious), she just doesn't seem to innocent. Luckily, Vivian's performance made me forget about this most of the time. Unfortunately, Kurious's performance didn't.
On the plus side, the video was one of the clearest pictures I've seen. I really liked that most of the girls look like they haven't been enhanced (especially Julie West). Vivian Valentine does a very good job and I look forward to seeing more of her (although not her tattoo). 'Nineteen College Girls Vol. 25' is about the quality I originally expected the series to be.
Raincoat Factor: Very high
Overall: Although I did not enjoy 'Nineteen College Girls Vol. 25' as much as Vol. 28, it's still bearable, especially if you like young girls. It's about what I would have expected when I watched Vol. 28. The main problem for me was the huge tattoos didn't make the girls seem that young and innocent. The video quality was excellent, but the audio suffered in points. There wasn't much for extras, although there isn't much to do with extras on a disc such as this.
