The fact that Peter North's cum shot could put out an eye or cause some other disfiguring injury has not hampered his ability to cast beautiful women for his North Pole DVDs. Jewel De'Nyle, who is rarely far from his side, is beautiful enough on her own to raise the quality of the productions. And yet, he goes above the call of duty with volume 9 by offering other hot young women like cover girl Jessica Drake. And North, himself, is also quite a draw. I know male stars aren't responsible for selling adult videos, but North is the exception. The size of his fan base is comparable to that of most women in the industry, and it certainly has been as long lasting as most. Simply put, Peter North delivers, and in more ways than one.

North Pole 9 is no different than its predecessors in that it strings together five disconnected sexual vignettes. In addition to directing the sex, North is also an active performer, appearing in two scenes himself. The first, however stars Jessica Drake and Cheyne Collins. Drake is one of those girls who inspire porn watching novices to exclaim, "She's too pretty to be in porn." The rest of us know that there are heaps of top of the line beauties in this business, and no one is too good looking to fuck for our entertainment. Suffice it to say Jessica Drake is very much a head turner. Also, it's worth noting that she is more than just a pretty package; she's also blessed with some very important skills. For instance, she sucks dick like B.B. King plays guitar--slow and nasty. More than 10 minutes of foreplay pass before the actual sex begins. Ten minutes of foreplay may not be much in your bedroom, but in porn that's damn near an eternity. Of course, given the talent, I see that as a good thing. Collins fucks her in a variety of positions, and Drake looks damn good in each one. She is definitely a girl who takes care of herself. In fact, despite all the hot sex, the part of this segment that made me smile the most is right at the end just as Collins crosses the point of no return. As he moves to position his dick over her face for the cum shot, Jessica instinctively and quickly fixes her hair so she'll look just right for the close up. It's not a planned thing, and she probably isn't even aware that she's doing it, but for some reason I find it hilariously endearing that a woman who's about to get her mug slathered in semen still cares enough to fix her hair.

Next, Jewel De'Nyle and Envy, both decked out in lingerie, plot to seduce each others' boyfriends. Of course this is a scripted setup by everyone involved, but it's still fun to watch. North and Chris Charming enter stage left and the action commences. It's nice to see the women be the aggressors every once in a while, and these two definitely take charge. At first you might think the camera is playing tricks on you, but it's no optical illusion--Charming's dick really is that big. How big is it? Well, there are Freudian psychiatrist who now have to treat race horses for penis envy, that's how big. De'Nyle, who knows a thing or two about giving head, can barely get it in her mouth. But she gives it a good try. After some pretty hard missionary sex, Charming flips her over and from behind he drills her pussy harder than George W. Bush can drill Alaskan nature preserves. North gives Envy similar treatment. Finally, they switch up when Envy takes Charming's Louisville Slugger up her ass and De'Nyle allows herself to be DP'd by North and an oversized dildo. Two facials round out the best scene on the DVD, and that's saying something considering the opener's heat.

Charmaine Star, like most girls on this DVD, is someone I have not seen before. Thanks to her appearance here, she wasn't able to completely escape my attention. She is a petite Asian, but don't go thinking she's demure. There's nothing shy about her as she goes down on Richi Rich, then bends herself over a couch to let him do with her as he wants. On it's own, their scene is nothing spectacular, but she has an exotic look that sells it for me. Also, the fact she's new doesn't hurt.

North returns for an encore engagement with Cherri Doll (I'm gonna take a wild guess that's not her given name). She's a pretty girl with nice breasts, but I'll confess to being turned off by the bright red lingerie. Lots of people like that stuff, so it's not a big problem, but I would much rather have seen her dressed in something that doesn't make her look like a Christmas present. North doesn't seem to mind, though, and does all the things with her that you'd expect a horny pornstar to do. Again, he proves that when it comes time for his pop shot, anything in his direct line of site will get messy. His penis is kind of like the Gallagher of ejaculations that way.

If there's any complaint I have about the North Pole series, it's that they usually end with a whimper instead of a bang. Elizabeth X, Chennin Blanc, and Chris Cannon close this edition, again, in unspectacular fashion. Someone always seems to be left out in a three way, and unfortunately this time it was me. I just wasn't feeling it. Even though you might feel the heat I missed, I'd still suggest skipping this over and going back to the beginning when the action was so much more hot and energetic.

North's series bills itself as "Dirty, Filthy, Nasty and Classy," and that's not oxy moronic; It's the truth. There are, of course, more extreme productions out there, but the balance here works. It is nasty, and it's not cheap. You'd be surprised how few pornos can find a common ground between the two. Despite it's lack of extras (a photo gallery and a couple of previews), I liked North Pole 9, and if you only watch it for the first two or three scenes, you probably will, too.
