This Michael Raven-helmed film is a porn version of "Point Break" which starred Patrick Swayze as the leader of a gang of outlaw surfers, and Keanu Reeves, as the FBI agent assigned to bring him to justice. Although the premise is promising, the execution is execrable. Nobody in this thing can surf, and nobody can act, either. The only decent surf footage is on the menu. They didn't even go out to places in Orange County or Malibu, where people actually surf, and get some shots of people actually surfing. Instead, they shot the surf scenes in the bay, where the two foot waves break on the sand. Incredibly lame!! This is why people hate porn with plot. A good surfing porno is still waiting to be made, because this wasn't it. The sex scenes are just so-so, with the exception of one three-way with April, Randy Spears, and Pat Myne, which is pretty hot. There ain't nobody in the porn version as sexy as Lori Petty was in the mainstream original. The technical aspects are terrific, with excellent cinematography. [read the full review]

For Adam & Eve, whose efforts are either "too artsy" or too poorly done to be enjoyable, Virgin Canvas is quite beautiful. If only the film's writing and acting were of such quality. The premise of the film is an interesting, if not unique, idea; a young female art student arrives at an elite art school, whose older director gives her an education in art and passion. This concept is blostered by the casting of porn veteran Steven St. Croix as the art director. St. Croix is no longer the stud he was a few years ago in the sex department, but he was always, in my opinion, the finest pure actor the adult industry has ever had and he has not lost any of that. Steven does a fine job with the poor material, yet what dooms the plot is the horrific acting of the star Kate Frost. There is a reason why this gorgeous blonde is in the adult industry and not in mainstream films, and it has little to do with her abilities as a sex performer. Oh, yeah, and the art is just a step above stick-figures. You won't like the fake, wooden, lofty dialogue, either. Sex The first scene features Sondra Hall with Julian. He handles her fake tits before they expose each other's unfortunate tattoos. A big, nice dick, but the stupid sun tattoo above it is pretty distracting. I Dream of Jenna Directed by Justin Sterling & Jenna Jameson Overall Impression I went into this one with low expectations since I'm generally not a huge fan of couples porn, plus although there was a lot to like about "Briana Loves Jenna" I felt the directing left a lot to be desired. While to my surprise I quite enjoyed this one. "I dream of Jenna" is populated by a well rounded cast of veteran performers and that is exactly why I think this film manages to succeed. Jenna, Nikita, and De'Nyle in particular are three very sexually aggressive personalities all of which command so impressive screen presence. Watching them interact with each other as well as some top notch male talent made for some enjoyable moments. Not to mention some enthusiastic performances from the likes of Inari Vachs, Lezley Zen, and Aurora Snow. So she must handle all of the duties (desk clerk/bellhop/room service/maid/etc). This movie reminds me of the old silent comedies in that Devinn's performance is entirely physical. She doesn't speak until the last few minutes of the movie. There is a slight editing glitch at time index 0:10:56. Looks like just an abrupt cut that didn't fit together well. First up is the bachelorette party with Breena, Sabrina Love-Cox and Sandy Knight. The stripper they hired didn't show so they bribe Devinn into stripping for them. Devinn does a very good job of dancing badly. Once she is done they of course drag her onto the bed to have sex with them. This scene is not up to Devinn's usual standard's. It is full of very tight shots so you have to pay close attention to figure out who is who. [read the full review]
