Synopsis:
Julia Ann's husband has been cheating on her while she has been locked away inside a mental hospital. She gets released but knows about his affairs and attempts to get even with him.

Video/Audio:
Wicked Whispers is presented in the full screen aspect ratio, 1.33:1, which appears to be the original aspect ratio for the film. The picture is clear from blemishes and artifacts but suffers from fine grain throughout the presentation. Although the colors might by slightly soft in the presentation, the blacks are correct and flesh tones are accurate.

The available audio track is an English 2.0 Stereo track, which is more than adequate for the film presented here. The dialog is clear and easy to hear at all times and since there is nothing in the way of audio effects, no extravagant audio track is necessary. No other language tracks and no subtitle options are available.

Chapters/Time Code:
There are six chapters available from the main menu for Wicked Whispers. Each one is identified by a video clip from the scene. There are fifteen chapters accessible from inside the film itself which does a great job of breaking up the film. It would have been nice if all fifteen were linked to from the chapter menu. There is a time code for the feature film, so time searching is available.

Special Features:
As per their usual, Wicked has filled this disc with extras of which many have to do with the feature film. Up first are the extras that relate to the feature film. All Access: The Making of Wicked Whispers is a 21 minute behind the scenes piece with no general focus but contains interviews, parts on the making of the film, photo shoots and general fun. The Box Cover Shoot: Julia Ann is a short two-and-three-quarter minute piece focusing on the photography sessions with Julia Ann. Behind the Scenes contains 18 production photos on a track. Interview With Julia Ann is a two minute interview about Julia Ann, the person. Interview With Eric Masterson is another two minute interview. Movie Gallery contains 34 general stills from the film on a track. There are Star Galleries for Julia Ann, T.J. Hart, Kristal Summers, Jezebelle Bond, Tommi Rose, and Jodi Moore, which contain 20 photos each on a track. There are the Audio Bios which combine text info, audio info, Wicked filmography and a link to the scene in the film with the star with a video clip for Julia Ann, T.J. Hart, Kristal Summers, Jezebelle Bond, Brad Armstrong, Steven St. Croix, and Eric Masterson. There is an Easter Egg with an out take from the film as well.

As for Wicked's general extra line-up, we have AVN & Wicked Awards and Nominations which have the AVN Award nominations and then winners by Wicked Pictures for 1994 through 2002, plus the 2000 to 2001 Adult DVD Empire Awards, 2001 USDA awards, the 1995 through 2000 XRCO Awards and the 1995 through 2000 Nightmoves Awards. The Promotional Material contains the adult convention reels from 1998 through 2001. There is a 30-second advert for the Free Speech Coalition. There are Trailers, each with a selectable box cover, for Working Girl, Vengeance, Crazed, Hell on Heels, Flash Point, Dream Quest, Satyr, and Knockout.

DVD-ROM Special Features:
The Wicked Web Hyperlink allows you to go straight to Wicked's website. The Wicked Casino is a free casino program that you have to install on your computer that allows you to play casino style games online against opponents for Wicked Cash or just by yourself for fun. The available casino games are Black Jack, Roulette, Baccarat, Slots and Poker.

Review:
Wicked Whispers is a plot based film, but there is very little to it. It mostly exists to connect the sex scenes together and allow for different places for the scenes to take place. The story is decent though and does manage to hold your interest, if for no other reason to find out where it ends up.

The locations used in the film are good. Especially that of the mental asylum, which I have to admit I found a little kinky. The movie is nicely filmed with good shots and angles. The production values and locations are probably the reason this film is as good as it is. Without them it would be at the level of your standard adult film.

The sex scenes are well done and relatively hot. Although the sex has a nastier side to it, this film should still be accessible to more open minded couples. There is an especially nice no hands blowjob scene that takes place in the hall of the mental asylum. The sexual themes in the film are oral, vaginal and anal sex with lesbianism, anal fingering, toys (anal) and a hands free blow job. For viewers who care about such things, condoms are used in all the scenes.

The Money Shot:
Wicked Whispers is a decent adult film, the plot isn't too great but it moves the sex scenes along. The sex, although harder than some couples might want, is hot and should be perfectly acceptable for more adventurous couples. Viewers who hate a plot or require nastier sex will probably find this film a waste. Viewers who like a porno with a plot should enjoy this one.
