Chained (Bizarre Video) review summaries:
Flash's
Chained is a BDSM feature movie from the beginnings of Bizarre Video. Unfortunately, the story, the BDSM aspects, and the sex itself aren't very good in Chained. The production itself looks cheap and, unfortunately, has little to offer the viewer. Bizarre Video has done an adequate job with their streaming and download edition of Chained with video quality that is acceptable for the age but poor audio quality. [read the full review]

Devil's Due review summaries:
fu_q's
Traumatized by one awful experience after another, a young, promising high school graduate, Cindy West, ultimately finds herself both without a voice and also initiated into a sexualized, satanic, New York City cult. With her hatred of men growing by the minute, and the cult's leader, Guy Thomas, interested in only one thing from his flock, it remains to be seen whether Cindy will fall victim yet again or whether she'll rise above it all and find solace (and revenge) in the arms of her lord, Satan. Such is the case in "Devil's Due", an overall-good, 1973 release from director Ernest Danna and re-mastered by Vinegar Syndrome. [read the full review]

"Dracula Sucks"...and so does the movie. Despite featuring a veritable Who's Who of the Golden Age of adult films (with the likes of Annette Haven, Seka, Serena, Kay Parker, Jamie Gillis, Paul Thomas, John Leslie, etc. onboard), this film still manages to fall flatter than piss on a plate in just about every conceivable manner. Dracula Sucks is an odd, high budget, and very fun adult film, which could have only come out of the 1970s adult film industry. While constantly trying to straddle the line of mainstream comedy and adult horror, and never 100 percent succeeding at any of these tasks, the end result is a unique experience that has a lot to offer viewers looking for more than just copulation. The print isn't perfect, but is better than any release prior. [read the full review]

Where Are They Now? (Sun Lust / Paradise Visuals) review summaries:
fu_q's
Review: Where Are They Now? is a good production from Sun Lust and Paradise Visuals that should also come with a warningactually two warnings. The first is a good one: the heat thats generated in some of the sequences, particularly the old-school Ginger Lynn segment with John Holmes and the new Dyanna Lauren boy-girl scene, is off-the-chartsso if you have a heart condition or you burn easily, beware. The second warning is of the not-so-good variety: there are some pretty serious technical issues in the new material here. Basically what occurs in this production is a good amount of pixilation (of the horizontal line type) that is particularly pronounced when there is motion. There also seems to be some sort of issue with fast motion itself, as well. It almost feels as though it trails or hesitates a bit across the screen. While these items dont ultimately kill the productionlargely because the older segments dont have such issuesthey can be difficult to get through at times. [read the full review]

Day 5 of Vividfest rocks on with the winner, Where are They Now? This DVD brings you the best of both worlds! One classic scene and one current scene from three of the biggest adult film stars of all time. First you will see them in the scenes that made them famous and then you will see them today! This 6 scene 2 hour release features Ginger Lynn, Dyanna Lauren, and Nina Hartley in scenes from their 1st time around and also a more recent scene. This release is well worth getting for any one of the ladies, but with a combined effort, you should be in classic era heaven with this collection. From the classic era, Ginger is the hottest of the three, which is by no means a slam on the others; its just that Ginger was my first. Jump to current day, and Dyanna has definitely held up the best. On a side note, one who has definitely not held up from the classic era is Ron Jeremy. [read the full review]

Vista Valley P.T.A. (Cal Vista Classics) review summaries:
fu_q's
It seems that just about everyone is up against a new, hard-assed English teacher at Vista Valley High (the lovely Jesie St. James) who's been brought in to whip the unruly school back into shape. Known more for its chaos, beatings, and rapes than its academic rigor, it seems that the students (...and their parents...) at the school are far more interested in fucking around--and just plain fucking, for that matter--than they are in bettering themselves. Indeed, their problems run deep and spread wide, and whether Jesie will be able to set things right and get them back on the straight and narrow...or whether she'll ultimately find herself entangled in their intricate web of carnal corruption...remains to be seen. Such is the case in "Vista Valley P.T.A", a very good, 1981 release from VCX and director Anthony Spinelli. [read the full review]

Waterpower review summaries:
fu_q's
Surrounded by the dirt and grime of 1970's New York City, a pervy, imbalanced porn shop creeper and window peeper, Jamie Gillis, finds himself pushed over the edge when he witnesses both an erotic enema at a local brothel and also the object of his obsession having sex with another man. Convinced that he can "cure" women of their perceived "impure behavior" via an enema (whether they like it or not), he goes on a spree that ultimately has him becoming a notorious and deranged rapist. Whether he'll be caught or whether he'll continue to terrorize the city's female population remains to be seen. Such is the case in "Water Power", a very good, 1976 release from Global Media International Films. [read the full review]

Waterpower is a bizarre film to come from Shaun Costello that has an even more bizarre release history. The TLA Entertainment Exclusive DVD contains two versions of the film on the disc. One called the original version and one called the director's cut. Neither is, to the best of my knowledge either the original version or the director's cut. The video quality is very good on the original version and varies from very good to poor in the director's cut. As of now, The Historic Erotica version appears to be the best release of Waterpower to have come out as of yet, but hopefully someday a definitive version will get released. [read the full review]

Upon finding herself abandoned after a gang rape at the hands of hunters out in the woods, a young prostitute (Bree Anthony) trains in the martial arts under the tutelage of a kung fu master (C.J. Laing) who happens upon her. Intent on defending themselves from the likes of such men, Laing and her group of followers work diligently at their craft, honing their abilities and guarding against threats...even to the point of directly taking on a well-trained monk (Tony Richards) whom they encounter in the forest. Tired of police harassment and the daily grind of the life, a group of big city prostitutes led by the utterly gorgeous, aspiring comedian, Nancy Suiter, goes about moving their illicit trade off of the streets and into a taxicab company. Of course, the company takes off like wildfire, which--itself--brings about its own slew of problems. Such is the case in "Taxi Girls" (81 min, 42 sec), an exceptional, 1979 release from VCX and director Jourdan Alexander. [read the full review]

Synopsis Ah the old days, bad acting and big bush, lol. This one's a comedy, with a running joke that involved private eye, Marc Wallice being the only one who thinks its raining, sticks his head outside his office and gets a bucket of water to the face. The plot device is Marc spying on Rachel Ashley's hubby, Mike Horner, to see if he's having an affair. Turns out that both Ashley & Horner are just voyeurs who love to masturbate while watching others masturbate. Ah love. The Cast Unquestionably the selling point. Selena Steele is stunningly hot. Charli, no, not the mid 90s one, is here in a RARE dvd... I think iv'e only seen her in ' Star 90' too. Anyhow, she's smokin' hot. Rachel Ashley. MILF. Sexy milf, with big brestesses. Nice. You blond lovers will enjoy all natural Sascha Strange. Long curly blond hair, suprisingly w/out implants. Cool. The Sex Umm, not all that remarkable. [read the full review]

Starring: Jerry Butler, Buck Adams, Jamie Summers, Sheena Horne & Cassandra Leigh, with a cameo by Jamie Gillis (1987) Thoughts... Just because a porn flick is from the "Golden Age" doesnt justify it the status of "Classic" This reasoning isnt allowed in mainstream and as far as I am concerned, I dont allow it in porn. There is true classic stuff to be had from the 80s; and Raw Talent II aint it. I had heard over the years about the "Raw Talent" series, but never seen any of them whilst I was discovering porn in the 80s. So when I seen this title, along with "Raw Talent III" available for review, I snatched them both up thinking I had a mini classic goldmine on my hands..heck..even "Hustler" graced the back cover with a blurb stating: "An Orgy of physical sex"! Wow..Hustler must have been paid off to say that stuff cause as far as Raw Talent II is concerned, its not true at all. [read the full review]

Through the Looking Glass (Video X Pix) review summaries:
fu_q's
A young heiress, played by the blonde beauty, Catharine Burgess, finds herself becoming more and more despondent, as her sexual obsession with a possessed mirror in the attic of her childhood manor grows. Of course, the mirror itself serves as a conduit to Hell, and its demonic inhabitant, played deftly by the master thespian himself, Jamie Gillis, is intent on beckoning her to the other side, where it can both own her soul and her sexuality for eternity. In so doing, it takes on the form of Catharine's deceased father, for whom her feelings are "complicated", at best, and whether she will ultimately succumb to its erotic seductions or escape from its clutches and return to a normal (albeit boring) life becomes the question of the day. Such is the case in "Through the Looking Glass", an exceptional, 1976 release from Video-X-Pix and director Jonas Middleton. [read the full review]

Corporate Assets (VCX) review summaries:
fu_q's
It's a dark and lonely world for a corporate prostitute, Tish Ambrose, who, despite having all of her material needs met and then some, only finds true happiness in the letters of a mentally troubled war buddy, Eric Edwards, of her deceased brother. Indeed, Tish appears to have it all as the longstanding head-lady of R. Bolla's cadre of corporate cuties, who provide sexual services to both the better employees of his firm and corrupt politicians alike, yet her heart yearns to quench its emptiness. It's solely Edwards' writings that can fill this void, so it's with great happiness that she greets him when he finally gets up the courage to surprise her with a visit. Of course, this doesn't sit well with Bolla, her boss, whose strong-arm tactics clash with the pair's feelings for one another violently. How it will all end up--happily or in blood...or both--remains the unanswered question of the day. Such is the case in "Corporate Assets", an exceptional, 1985 release. [read the full review]

A Thousand and One Erotic Nights 2: The Forbidden Tales review summaries:
Tongue in Groove's
1001 Erotic Nights #2 is a 1986 feature recently released on DVD as a VCA Classic, which is not a strong testament for porn of that era. While the action has moments of heat, this is typical 80s smut heavy with dialogue, poor attempts at humor, period costumes, and bad acting. The story opens with a 3-on-1 blowjob. Francois is the Sultan, and also the lucky recipient of the oral pleasuring by Kristina Barrington, Bunny Bleu, and Sandy Summers. There is too much slow motion in this nine-minute scene for my taste, but you can sense the enjoyment Francois is experiencing before he blows his load on their faces. The Sultan decides to throw a contest to find the sexiest girl in his kingdom. Blonde cutie Patti Petite applies and gives servant Jon Martin a fantastic hummer under the watchful eye of the Sultans assistant, Jamie Gillis. Petite takes Martins load in her mouth. In the token girl-girl scene, Tami White (aka Ariel Daye) works her way through Rayanne Drews extremely hairy bush while Gillis observes. [read the full review]

A fireside conversation between two lovers, Jamie Gillis and Delania Raffino, and the suggestion of a trip to Lake Shasta prompts the latter of the pair to recount a story from times past, when she last visited the lake with her ex-husband and Senator, Jack Wrangler. Of course, the trip was anything but typical, as it involved all manner of horny high-jinks, two of the participants--including Raffino herself--getting seriously lost, an assortment of awkward moments and interactions, and...finally...a trio of "protestors" intent on taking hostages and raping members of the party. This outlandish, fictitious trip is the primary focus of the film "Summer in Heat", an overall-good, 1979 release from VCX and director Alex DeRenzy. [read the full review]

When two gas station attendants, Jamie Gillis and Bud Wise, read an article about Hollywood starlets who are supplementing their incomes in the real estate business by treating high-end clients to the times of their lives, they both know that they have to get in on the deal. Of course, this means pretending to be wealthy, oil tycoons who have struck it rich and are looking to score some property from the ladies. And, to be fair, the pair does, indeed, eventually strike it rich--but in pussy, not crude--and they do score quite frequently, as well--just not in picking up property. Blonde Ambition (Video-X-Pix) review summaries:
fu_q's
A pair of yokel, talent-show sisters (Suzy Mandel and Dory Devon) looking to make it big in New York, a rich and conniving British heiress and her naive nephew (Eric Edwards), and a mix up involving a long lost, priceless broach all combine and ignite to fuel the fire that is "Blonde Ambition". A very good, adult comedy filmed in the late 70s and from Jon and Lem Amero and Video-X-Pix, this high-budget fuck-flick packs the plot of a low-budget mainstream release of its era into a tight, tongue-in-cheek, pornographic package...and the result is utterly watchable. Ultra Flesh review summaries:

The world is in crisis as the evil space demon, "Sugar Man" (Jamie Gillis), posing as an "innocent" South American dictator, spreads impotence across the planet via his country's tainted sugar. With his plans to exterminate the human race (and thereby clear the planet for his own kind) in full force, the super powers of the world find themselves desperately at one another's throats...and it turns out that only the stunningly beautiful blonde super-alien, "Ultra Flesh" (Seka), and her "Fleshettes" can save them...and the world. Such is the case in the aptly titled "Ultra Flesh", a very good, 1980 release from Svetlana and Collector's Video (as distributed by VCX). [read the full review]

As part of their Retro Series, Adam & Eve has released two entries of the All American Girls series on this set, Up! Up! And Away! and Heart Throbs. The two films don't actually have anything to do with each other and are stand-alone films. Both films are enjoyable and definitely worth watching. Adam & Eve has done a good job with their release of the two films with good video and audio but the set is lacking in extras. [read the full review]

Pretty Peaches 2 (VCA) review summaries:
fu_q's
When a naive, young woman named Peaches embarks upon a journey of sexual exploration and fulfillment, just about anything can (...and does...) happen along the way. This is particularly true when she finds herself an unwitting participant in her uncle's pervy, bizarro world, where sex and kink are as acceptable and commonplace as they are dirty. Such is the case in "Pretty Peaches 2", a very good, 1987 release from the acclaimed director, Alex de Renzy, and VCA. [read the full review]

Alex deRenzy's "Pretty Peaches 2" is a lighthearted, fun sex epic that doesn't try to be anything more and therefore suceeds. The story, which never takes itself seriously, involves a girl named Peaches (Siobhan Hunter), desperate to learn about sex. She is interrupted by her mother (Tracey Adams) during her rendezvous with her boyfriend Bobby (Peter North). Bobby hides in mom's room and is found peeking at her. So what does she do? Fuck him, of course. Meanwhile, Peaches is growing more frustrated. She goes to visit her dad (Herschel Savage), who warns her not to be a tease. She then decides to go visit her uncle (Ron Jeremy), a crazy Vietnam vet. On the road, she is picked up by Buck Adams and gets a room with him, watching him fuck Jeanette Littledove (who was once Buck's real-life wife). At the same time, Tracey and Herschel get together to find Peaches. It turns out that they're divorced, but they reconcile (not until after a session from F.M. Bradley, though, however). Title: Pretty Peaches 2 Released by: VCA You know, its not too often when Ill come across an adult DVD that has something that just takes me by surprise. But, wouldnt you know it, I found one here! Alex de Renzys "Pretty Peaches 2" is a sequel of sorts to his original 1978 movie. Well it was a sequel in title and director only. Where the first movie was about a young woman with an accident-induced amnesia, this movie is about a 20-year old woman by the name of Peaches who was desperate to get laid. So heres the story: Peaches (Siobahan Hunter) tries to score with her boyfriend (Peter North). Her mom calls down from her bedroom for the boyfriend to go home. Somehow (and Ive yet to understand why), he doesnt go out the door. He instead goes to the mothers bedroom. The mother is played by the very sultry and voluptuous Tracey Adams. And lets face it, SHE is the real star of this movie, because she gets naked and gets laid far more times in this story than anyone else. So while the boyfriend is hiding, the mother gets naked to get ready for bed. [read the full review]

classic connoisseur's
Year: 1985 Length: 86 minutes Even though this is part of the NuTech line of Classic dvd collecion series this is certainly no classic. You might think it is by looking at the cast involved (Harry Reems, Jamie Gillis, John Leslie, Amber Lynn) and directed by Robert McCallum, but unfortunately the sex and the storyline to this movie are severely lacking. The plot to this story is supposed to be something similar to that of a soap opera, but I didn't find it to be any more similar to a soap opera than any other porn film I've seen. Basically the problem is that there was no plot at all and this is a problem in a porn film that pretends to have a plot. This movie pretended to have a story line and it had just enough to get in the way but not enough to make any sense, so this is one problem. Either they should have just went wall to wall sex with this one or have developed the story line more fully and made a full feature sex film out of this movie. [read the full review]

This Cal-Vista shot-on-film feature from around 1984 has very little to recommend it. The sex is routine. Even the delightful Janey Robbins, one of the unsung heroines of early porn, is largely wasted. The plot has stewardess Juliet Anderson wanting to be the first female pilot on her airline, with sister Tara Aire trying to help her along. There are alot of shots inside airliner shells, and outside of windows during flights, and pirate shots at airports, but we've seen it all before in better films from that era. This film features an extended mud wrestling scene, so if you can remember the mud wrestling fad of the 1980s, you can date this film. On the bright side, the film quality is excellent, and the transfer to DVD is very good as well. Technically the disc is very good. [read the full review]

Due to the video problems if you are a fan of the film or it sounds like a good movie to you, you probably want to wait and hope that a better version of it gets released in the future. As this is a limited edition release it will eventually leave the market and anther company may re-release a better print of it. If you are still considering purchasing it, I suggest that you rent it first so you can see how bad the video problems are before you purchase so you don't end up disappointed. [read the full review]

I-Candy's DVD release of Insatiable was really well done, with obvious time and attention spent on it. A DVD well worth buying. Now I personally always prefered Insatiable II, so when I saw that I-Candy had released it on DVD I jumped at the chance to buy it. What a mistake. This DVD is almost the exact opposite of the Insatiable DVD release. The menus were obviously quickly thrown together, with a quality so poor that the DVD creators should be embarassed to have their names associated with it (e.g. menu selections indicated by an ugly big handrawn single color red X next to the item). There are no extras to speak of, there's no time code on the movie, and for some reason the movie plays horizontally squished to 50 of it's proper width (imagine the reverse of letterbox) on my Pioneer DVD player, on which I've played hundreds of DVDs and NEVER before seen this effect. And worst of all, the movie is missing LARGE segments from the original release for no percievable reason. [read the full review]
