Review brief: I have to admit that when Stephanie Swift first came onto the blue movie scene, I was not much of a fan. There was no doubt that she's cute as hell, and since I have a special effection for raven-haired brunettes, Ms. Swift should have been placed high on my list of new favorites...But for some reason, I chose to overlook her many porn appearances while searching for titles starring Inari Vachs or Tera Patrick; I just wasn't that interested. However, thanks to the good people at Wicked and Adult DVD Talk, I have now jumped on the bandwagon (as I recently have done with Jenna Jameson based on her appearance in UP AND CUMMERS #11 --- better late than never) and have become a Stephanie Swift devotee with SEX SAFARI, a star vehicle which shows this sexy thing at her best. Of course, the overwhelming use of rubbers in all the "poking the whiskers" scenes can be a bit intrusive in a porn fantasy, but what the hell...this DVD is a digital wet dream for any fan of hers.

The fit the scenes very well, but there are a few spots where the music is a little overpowering. Initial Expectations: Very high.

Review brief: Laure Sainclair is again spotlighted in this Marc Dorcel video imported from the land of soft, smelly cheese and Jerry Lewis groupies and courtesy of Wicked Pictures. LES NUITS DE LA PRESIDENTE has been retitled THE FIRST LADY, which is a convenient if inaccurate translation for those who only took Spanish in high school. Even though this movie is less than two hours long, director Alain Payet manages to cram in a lot of tension and intrigue throughout eleven different and distinctive sexual situations. Yet, the movie never feels rushed, and the sex scenes are perfectly edited according to pace. The premise of the film, which is as original as they come in porn, Ms. Sainclair plays the President during the day, and a literal woman of the night, who is being blackmailed by some mystery villain" looks like a cross between Truman Capote and the Nazi who gets his face melted at the end of RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK. In order to protect her status, she is directed to engage in sexual encounters.

There are a couple of spots that seem like they may have been dubbed, but it's not overly noticeable. There are also a few places where the sound seems to lose its depth, which probably added to my feeling of parts being dubbed. Video Quality: The picture shows a lot of grain, but I think that comes more from the original than the transfer. Music: The music comes and goes throughout the movie, but since it seems to be on purpose, it isn't too bad. When the music does stop, it seems to be the end of the song and you have some of the sounds of the people. Initial Expectations: Paul Thomas normally does a pretty good porno without much plot but with some average to better than average sex.

Review brief: The Plot: Yep, not every great movie makes a whole hell of a lot of sense. Conquest is a good example. Our lovely tale of lust and torn bodices starts with a hanging. John "Dutch" is about to die for his crimes as a pirate. Sentenced to hang by his neck until dead (Does anyone just hang by the neck until uncomfortable?), John is rescued at the last second by his Captain, his fellow crewmen and the timely intervention of a chick with big tits. Naturally, no good deed goes unpunished, and we are treated to watching the crown prince (hilariously overplayed to perfection by somebody who deserved more credit) rant & rave about "Blackheart", our hero. Speaking of our hero, he and his crew are resting in the Batcave before setting sail. Captain Steubing receives a navigation chart and instructions to meet up with the rest of his crew at an uncharted island. Instead of thwacking the guy over the head for giving him a chart and instructions for an uncharted island, he wanders off to brood over the loss of his family.

Review brief: Although I am far less of a Jenna Jameson fan than the general porn public (my tastes lean towards women like Inari Vachs, Leena, Vicca, Ginger Lynn and Rebecca Lords), I can't deny that she has a lot of appeal, both visually and sexually. I originally purchased UP AND CUMMERS Number 10 on the strength of Jenna's slow and steady, but white hot scene with Kylie Ireland, where their tag-team encounter with Randy West was just to good to pass-up. Now, Jenna flies solo in a straight scene with Mr. West, prefaced by a photo session posing sequence which has a lot of tease and plenty of build up to the main action. Needless to say, Jenna truly shows herself to be a magnetic and sexy performer and I've finally come to understand what all her hype is about. When she is treated to extended pussy eating, she actually seems to enjoy it, and remains playful and fun- loving throughout her scene. She is one of the few actresses who kisses deeply and with passion, as opposed to just simple flicks of the tongue like too many other porn women.

Not only does she look better than all of my college professors, she lectures better than many of them also. Nina's Advanced Guide to Oral Sex is broke down into three sections: anatomy, practice, and fantasy scene. The anatomy is pretty basic, but provides a good understanding of the technical terms she uses. She also keeps it very short (around five to ten minutes). The best thing about the entire anatomy lesson was the vaginal puppet she had. It was all I could do to stay in my chair .

Review brief: Pre Viewing Expectations The case notes this is a classic porn release, and briefly describes the plot. Most of the space on the back is used to list the extras included on the disc, and what a list it is, right down to the Dolby 5.1 sound. I don't have a Dolby 5.1 setup, so I can't comment on this. Too bad the case tells one how to find the bonus photos, half of the fun would have been searching around the various menus looking for the hidden tag. The Main Event This is a golden classis from the early days of Porn. It was produced in the early 1980's and stars the one and only Marilyn Chambers. She brings her own energy to any movie she stars in, which is just as hot now as it was the day she shot it. This movie is no exception. There are eight scenes total, with Marilyn appearing in a majority of those. Many of the scenes show actions we take for granted today, but were virtually unheard of back then.

Review brief: My favorite DVD extra has always been candid footage: interviews, behind the scenes, bloopers, anything to put the filming in context, in context of real people. Shanes World from start to finish is just that. Its more real than Real World (though using many of the same techniques) and far more intimate. If you care at all to get to know the people who are screwing their brains out for your viewing pleasure then jump into Shanes World. Shanes World 19 is my first adventure with Shane so I cant compare it to previous excursions. Cast obviously makes the movie I doubt anyone would care about the personal lives of people who annoy them. 19 has an enjoyable cast, a nice mix of pretty faces, lean bodies, and personalities with depth.

This is Peter North's eighth entry in his North Pole series, which does a pretty good job of straddling the fence between hardcore gonzo and couples oriented vignettes. Review brief: Pre Viewing Expectations The case for this movie doesn't give away too much. There are a few photos on the back that show some of the hardcore action, including a three-way. It mentions the women who star in it, but otherwise, that is about it. The Main Event As one might expect, this is a montage of scenes, without any type of plotline to hook them all together. For the most part, the women look young, and inexperienced. Take for example the first scene. The girl tries to deep throat the guy, but looks like she is either in pain or very uncomfortable. More experienced women know how to make this look enjoyable, even if it isn't. Overall there are six scenes in this feature, including the three-way shown on the case. Most of the scenes are in excess of 18 minutes, good lenghty action. I was surprised by the lack of money shots in some of these scenes. In the first scene, the guy comes inside of the girl then withdrawls.

I like movies that are raw, but I also really like movies that are directed in a music video style. This movie is the latter.

Review brief: Pre Viewing Expectations The case notes this is a classic porn release, and briefly describes the plot. Most of the space on the back is used to list the extras included on the disc, and what a list it is, right down to the Dolby 5.1 sound. I don't have a Dolby 5.1 setup, so I can't comment on this. Too bad the case tells one how to find the bonus photos, half of the fun would have been searching around the various menus looking for the hidden tag. The Main Event This is a golden classis from the early days of Porn. It was produced in the early 1980's and stars the one and only Marilyn Chambers. She brings her own energy to any movie she stars in, which is just as hot now as it was the day she shot it. This movie is no exception. There are eight scenes total, with Marilyn appearing in a majority of those. Many of the scenes show actions we take for granted today, but were virtually unheard of back then.

Review brief: My favorite DVD extra has always been candid footage: interviews, behind the scenes, bloopers, anything to put the filming in context, in context of real people. Shanes World from start to finish is just that. Its more real than Real World (though using many of the same techniques) and far more intimate. If you care at all to get to know the people who are screwing their brains out for your viewing pleasure then jump into Shanes World. Shanes World 19 is my first adventure with Shane so I cant compare it to previous excursions. Cast obviously makes the movie I doubt anyone would care about the personal lives of people who annoy them. 19 has an enjoyable cast, a nice mix of pretty faces, lean bodies, and personalities with depth.

Review brief: North Pole #8 Directed by Peter North Starring: Sylvia, Jewel De'Nyle, Barrett Moore, Aspen Brock, Harmony Grant, Jade Marcella, Peter North, Eric Everhard, Rob Scott, Chris Cannon, Chris Charming. This is Peter North's eighth entry in his North Pole series, which does a pretty good job of straddling the fence between hardcore gonzo and couples oriented vignettes. Instead of grubby guys trying to prove to the camera how "hardcore" they really are, Peter instead opts for well appointed locations, very pretty girls, and shots that steer away from strictly gynecological close ups. At the same time, however, you still get facials, anal, strap ons, and all the other things that make a hardcore video hardcore. There is some above average sex on this disc, but you won't find much in the way of extras. There are a handful of trailers for other titles which are well put together, but that's about it. Everything is professionally constructed, on the other hand. The picture is sharp, the sound is clear, and the menus work.

Review brief: Pre Viewing Expectations The case for this movie doesn't give away too much. There are a few photos on the back that show some of the hardcore action, including a three-way. It mentions the women who star in it, but otherwise, that is about it. The Main Event As one might expect, this is a montage of scenes, without any type of plotline to hook them all together. For the most part, the women look young, and inexperienced. Take for example the first scene. The girl tries to deep throat the guy, but looks like she is either in pain or very uncomfortable. More experienced women know how to make this look enjoyable, even if it isn't. Overall there are six scenes in this feature, including the three-way shown on the case. Most of the scenes are in excess of 18 minutes, good lenghty action. I was surprised by the lack of money shots in some of these scenes. In the first scene, the guy comes inside of the girl then withdrawls.

Review: With both Celeste and Kylie Ireland in 'Sexy Nurses 2', I knew I had to watch it. Like most of Celeste's movies that I've seen, there isn't much plot, but the sex makes up for it. 'Sexy Nurses 2' revolves around Woody Long and his attempt to get money from rich guys who are close to dying.

Video Quality: With the exception of the first scene, the picture is very clear with little sign of any pixelation. The first scene has several sequences that look like they were recorded on a poor digital camcorder. The pixelation is awful! The quality reminded me of still pictures taken with a bad digital camera. Music: Very good. It matched the many moods of the various scenes. Initial Expectations: Item #1 - Wicked has some of the highest quality DVDs out there.

Review brief: Most "How to..." sex videos are nothing more than a flimsy excuse to show some hardcore sex scenes with a little bit of commentary so as to avoid the "porn" categorization. This is not to say that such videos can't be informative, but obvious discussions on the art of lovemaking are usually peppered with obvious suggestions like, "Take your time. Be sensitive to your partner's needs. Enjoy the experience..." (Well, duh!). So, after noting the title of this feature, I braced myself for a methodically boring instructional video of sorts, with some graphic but sterilized scenes of oral sex. In other words, I thought I would be bored to death. However, the legendary Nina Hartley makes this video enjoyable, and yes, educational as well.
