Review brief: A cleverly descriptive and aptly titled series from Anabolic, NICE RACK continues in the company's tradition of giving steamy hardcore in a well-developed package. This fourth edition of the series is a pretty clear winner overall, and will only disappoint those who don't like raw and nasty fucking and sucking, or other who actually prefer to see silicone packed into a porn star's chest like stuffing in a turkey. Of course, it does help that NICE RACK #4 also happens to feature one of the most popular starlets of the new millennium, namely Tera Patrick, who is always stunning in appearance and performance. This two-hour, twenty minute production features six straight sex scenes with six different actresses.

Review brief: Pretty star-studded lineup, eh? Well, when Raw's under the Vivid line (both sort of "co-promote" this DVD) you can expect a lot of names. From a site standpoint, to make the template for this review, I copied The Other Side Of Chloe's file, which is rather appropriate - this is in the same style as that great DVD, but hosted by the charming Asia Carrera. She strips, fondles and plays with herself while introducing a bunch of separate scenes. Much like TOSOC, the scenes have nothing to do with each other, other than that they're all introed by Asia and they all have sex in them. For some reason, I'm horrible with names while watching this - either they look different or I can't recognize them. For instance, I can't find Dyanna in here, although I looked through all the scenes, and the extras. Maybe I'm just blind. Watching all these DVDs will do that to you after a while. :) No problems with any of the scenes, but my favorites were the lez scene between Asia and Kobe Tai (way too short, though) and of course, Chloe's m/f scene.

Review brief: The second DVD I bought, and the first one from big name Vivid. Right off, you notice the difference between this DVD and one from a smaller company like VXI - tons and tons of extra features. Even the quality on the DVD is higher, a direct result of Vivid's production values. Multiple angles show off the advancement of the DVD technology, as you can switch to different views of the action. We'll start with the good points - the women look great in this video, especially Kobe Tai, the star of the flick, and the beautiful Deva, especially when they engage in the final and hottest scene of the video. The dancing between Deva and Jacklyn Lick is also tremendous, and even better, this scene features multiple angles. Ever wanted to see a lapdance from a different angle? Go right ahead. It's fun! Now the bad part. The rest of the scenes are..well, not nearly as good. They consist mainly of Kobe peeping in on couples twice, being caught once and dragged into the middle of a threesome.

Review brief: In the last review, I complained about the lack of a good plot and a lack of really good action. Not so in this one. It doesn't pretend to have a plot at all. In fact, there's almost zero dialogue. There's a house. There's men, and there's women. In and around the house, they have sex. It doesn't get much more cut and dried than that, friends. The action carries the flick, and the action is great, with all the stops being pulled out. The first scene demonstrates that, with Racquel, Derrick Lane and Tianna all going at it, finishing with Racquel using a strapon on Tianna. In a bit of a cheesy bit, Tianna inquires if Racquel would go for an anal with Derrick. Racquel considers it as we fade out to...more sex. That set the tone for the entire movie, with multiple scenes going on at once in and around the house. No dialogue, no plot, nothing but sex, sex, and more sex. And it works. Racquel's the definite star of this movie (well, duh, she's on the box, see?) turning in stellar performances in three scenes.

Review brief: First things first, somebody must like me out there - after I complained about the DVDs I've seen not having any good credits, in order to match names to faces, this one has the perfect solution - run clips of each star and then a screen with their name. Bravo to Vivid! Chloe impresses me every time I see her, as her scene scorched the beginning of the movie. She gets plowed in an extended scene by Tony Tedeschi and looks like she's going nuts as she's doing it. By the time it's over, they're almost panting for breath due to the exertion, giving Chloe that ever-so-nice glow. :) The movie has two scenes featuring Leslie Glass and Ricky O (her real-life S/O). The first scene was good, but disjointed, as they change around positions too much to really get into a groove. The second scene is much better, with much better transitions and an anal scene, which is apparently rare for Les.

The picture is one of the grainiest Ive ever seen. In one close-up I could barely tell what I was looking at. Thats pretty bad for porn. The audio is clearer than the video, but still leaves a lot to be desired. Several of the people in the cast are foreign, and it was hard to understand what they were saying. I know that a lot of that was the accents, but a clearer audio would have helped it a lot. Also, several scenes were noticeably dubbed. The sex audio was a mixed bad because many of the scenes didnt have audio other than the music. Music: The music is a light jazz. Its the same kind of music almost any guy would play when a woman comes over that he wants to score with to make her think hes a sensitive guy.

Review brief: This is another personal favorite from my collection that gets a decent amount of playtime. Statistical information: Disc type: 2 sides, 1 layer Feature length: about 2 hrs Extras: stills, clips, trailers I have acquired a handful of Vivid Raw titles just because they often are on sale at various netstores. The quality varies a lot: sometimes you get a DVD that should be good on the outset but isn't (Femme 2), and sometimes there are one or two hot scenes amidst less exciting stuff (Channel X). You hope to come across the occasional gem. Choose Your Cooze is the best of the lot so far. It is also an all-condom movie, penetration-wise, so those who have a strong aversion to condoms can leave at this point. Still here? Good. The premise is simple. Apparently the producer called a bunch of pornstars and asked them who they'd want to work with, and the results can be seen on this DVD.

Its one of my favorites and I hope that this one is just as good. At the very least, I have a lot of confidence in Evil Angel putting together a very well made DVD with a great transfer and plenty of well done extras. Initial Reaction: It isnt Face Dance Part 1, but it doesnt try to be either. For a gonzo movie, its going to be hard to beat. Audio /Video Quality: The transfer appears to be very good. Theres some focus issues, but nothing worse than any other gonzo movie. The audio synchs great and is very clear in all but a couple outdoor situations. Music: The music feels out of place. Thankfully, its only in a couple scenes, so it doesnt detract from the movie that much.

It's an excuse to watch lots of people doing it. Of course, this isn't a complaint so much as it is an observation--an observation particularly important to note since most people expect more from a Vivid production. I, however, feel the typical Vivid self indulgences get in the way of what I really want. In that respect, Devil's Blackjack starts off in the right direction. Here, we look in on purgatory's game show in which recently departed souls play a quick game of chance to determine if they go to Hell or porn nirvana. The game, of course, is blackjack and Bobby Vitale is our excitable host. The Vanna White to his Pat Sajak is the overwhelmingly cute Devon, who not only deals the cards, but is also the grand prize on more than one occasion.

Review brief: With an Anabolic title, you pretty much always know what you are getting. If the title is "Butt Banged Naughty Nurses" (from back in '97), you know there'll be scenes featuring anal sex and pornstars dressed as nurses and no plot to distract "you wankers at home", as Sabrina would put it. Sabrina Johnson sits in a dentist's chair and introduces the scenes. I wonder if Sabrina talks like that in real life, or is she trying to sound sexy in a kind of innocent-butt-nasty way. Or maybe she is not quite convinced by her lines, like "I get so horny watching girls get their ass stretched wide" and so on. Whatever, she looks cute in that white dress (also white panties, stockings and suspenders, and a pair of platform shoes to complete the look). There's one point I don't like, though: the hot pink lipstick she has on (which matches her fingernails as a kind of fashion statement). I prefer a more natural look. In the first scene doctors Vouyer, Vitale and Ray bang nurse Chloe in some clinic.

Review brief: Pros: Educational porn, Anna Malle's legs Cons: poor sound takes away from the educational factor, only two chicks, bad choice of shots Juvenile remark: She said "rectum"! I admire educational porn and try to stay open to the fact that it it will not meet the intensity and variety of other porn. But, I found myself rather dissappointed with this one. The DVD starts out being educational but that does not consume enough time to make it worth while. So, mini-orgy footage is shown to make it more worth your while. Educational part: The educational part is pieced together. There is a scene where Nina Hartley fingers Anna Malle's ass and of course let us know what we need to know about penetrating asses--"The anus never lies". The audio is not well balanced. If you set the volume so that you can hear what is being said you will wake the neighbors once Anna starts to moan. Although, it was nice seeing Anna wiggle around on fingers. Another scene is just with Nina and some diagrams outside.

All the typical Blake trademarks are here : Fast cutting, beautiful women who are heavily made up and costumized (though less excessively here than usual), and great cinematography and lighting. Indeed, after having been let down by EVERY shot- on-film feature, this was the first that was both properly developed (no extreme grain or bad color correction) and really well shot.

Review brief: This is not a new DVD, but no one has apparently posted a review, so here are some comments. London Calling continues in the same vein as Tanya Hyde's two earlier Private videos (Xtreme Desires and Twisted Dreams). There are five scenes featuring Monique Covét along with Bettina, who has been in quite a few Private productions, and the less familiar girls Ingrid Suede and Chantelle. The cocksmen are billed as Tony di Sergio, Kevin Long, Roy Rogers and Tony Gold. The editing is in the same style as in the previous videos: induced graininess, jerkiness and false colours alternate with snippets of more ordinary video, and everything is accompanied by driving techno beats and dubbed moans. Beyond the fetish clothing and settings, the sex itself is not that daring or outré. However, the style is original enough. In fact, the Tanya Hyde productions are just about the only ones coming from Private I find interesting at all.

Most of the movie is in color, but some spots are done in grainy black and white. The audio doesnt always match the video, but it isnt meant to in a lot of spots. Music: Theres only music in a few of the scenes.

I have, however heard horrible things about Caballeros transfer. Initial Reaction: Wow. Now I know why there is always a tone of reverence whenever Andrew Blakes name is mentioned. The transfer definitely leaves a lot to be desired, but Ive seen a lot worse. Audio /Video Quality: The video is better than I expected, but the audio is much worse. The video is very soft and slightly grainy. I dont know why, but it worked for me. Maybe it added to some of the artistic feel. For some reason, I dont think a crystal clear picture would have been as good for Secrets.

From what I head about Anabolic, I had better than average expectations. Initial Reaction: Better than average, but a little more attention could have made it much better. Audio /Video Quality: A little better than average. There are some problems with shadows (although most of the movie takes place at night), but they're more than they should be. The audio is very poorly balanced and the dialogue is very hard to hear much of the time. Music: The music fits the scenes very well, but it's way to loud. I gave up on trying to understand the dialogue after the second scene. The balance would have been pretty good throughout most of the movie if the dialogue and music volumes were reversed.

Review brief: Contrary to the misleading title, BRING 'UM YOUNG has nothing to do with the Mormon-based University [drum roll], but rather, is just another porn DVD from the decidedly non- conservative institution known as Anabolic Video. Of course, any xxx-rated movie with a title like this is bound to raise a few eyebrows as well as other body parts, but rest assured, there are no Traci Lords-aged girls in this feature. But like the BARELY LEGAL series from Hustler Video, this video is an obvious (and commendable, might I add) attempt to pander to the dirty old man/woman buried deep in every porn watcher's heart. However, once you get past the novelty of seeing young and the restless at play, maintaining viewer interest in this series will ultimately depend on the strength of its fucking and sucking scenes. This fourth edition of the series is a pretty clear winner overall, and will only disappoint those who don't like raw and nasty fucking and sucking, or other who actually prefer to see silicone packed into a porn star's chest like stuffing in a turkey. Of course, it does help that NICE RACK #4 also happens to feature one of the most popular starlets of the new millennium, namely Tera Patrick, who is always stunning in appearance and performance. Review brief: Pretty star-studded lineup, eh? Well, when Raw's under the Vivid line (both sort of "co-promote" this DVD) you can expect a lot of names. From a site standpoint, to make the template for this review, I copied The Other Side Of Chloe's file, which is rather appropriate - this is in the same style as that great DVD, but hosted by the charming Asia Carrera. She strips, fondles and plays with herself while introducing a bunch of separate scenes. Much like TOSOC, the scenes have nothing to do with each other, other than that they're all introed by Asia and they all have sex in them. For some reason, I'm horrible with names while watching this - either they look different or I can't recognize them. For instance, I can't find Dyanna in here, although I looked through all the scenes, and the extras. Maybe I'm just blind. Watching all these DVDs will do that to you after a while. :) No problems with any of the scenes, but my favorites were the lez scene between Asia and Kobe Tai (way too short, though) and of course, Chloe's m/f scene.

Review brief: The second DVD I bought, and the first one from big name Vivid. Right off, you notice the difference between this DVD and one from a smaller company like VXI - tons and tons of extra features. Even the quality on the DVD is higher, a direct result of Vivid's production values. Multiple angles show off the advancement of the DVD technology, as you can switch to different views of the action. We'll start with the good points - the women look great in this video, especially Kobe Tai, the star of the flick, and the beautiful Deva, especially when they engage in the final and hottest scene of the video. The dancing between Deva and Jacklyn Lick is also tremendous, and even better, this scene features multiple angles. Ever wanted to see a lapdance from a different angle? Go right ahead. It's fun! Now the bad part. The rest of the scenes are..well, not nearly as good. They consist mainly of Kobe peeping in on couples twice, being caught once and dragged into the middle of a threesome.

Review brief: In the last review, I complained about the lack of a good plot and a lack of really good action. Not so in this one. It doesn't pretend to have a plot at all. In fact, there's almost zero dialogue. There's a house. There's men, and there's women. In and around the house, they have sex. It doesn't get much more cut and dried than that, friends. The action carries the flick, and the action is great, with all the stops being pulled out. The first scene demonstrates that, with Racquel, Derrick Lane and Tianna all going at it, finishing with Racquel using a strapon on Tianna. In a bit of a cheesy bit, Tianna inquires if Racquel would go for an anal with Derrick. Racquel considers it as we fade out to...more sex. That set the tone for the entire movie, with multiple scenes going on at once in and around the house. No dialogue, no plot, nothing but sex, sex, and more sex. And it works. Racquel's the definite star of this movie (well, duh, she's on the box, see?) turning in stellar performances in three scenes.

Review brief: First things first, somebody must like me out there - after I complained about the DVDs I've seen not having any good credits, in order to match names to faces, this one has the perfect solution - run clips of each star and then a screen with their name. Bravo to Vivid! Chloe impresses me every time I see her, as her scene scorched the beginning of the movie. She gets plowed in an extended scene by Tony Tedeschi and looks like she's going nuts as she's doing it. By the time it's over, they're almost panting for breath due to the exertion, giving Chloe that ever-so-nice glow. :) The movie has two scenes featuring Leslie Glass and Ricky O (her real-life S/O). The first scene was good, but disjointed, as they change around positions too much to really get into a groove. The second scene is much better, with much better transitions and an anal scene, which is apparently rare for Les.

I know that a lot of that was the accents, but a clearer audio would have helped it a lot. Also, several scenes were noticeably dubbed. The sex audio was a mixed bad because many of the scenes didnt have audio other than the music. Music: The music is a light jazz. Its the same kind of music almost any guy would play when a woman comes over that he wants to score with to make her think hes a sensitive guy.

Statistical information: Disc type: 2 sides, 1 layer Feature length: about 2 hrs Extras: stills, clips, trailers I have acquired a handful of Vivid Raw titles just because they often are on sale at various netstores. The quality varies a lot: sometimes you get a DVD that should be good on the outset but isn't (Femme 2), and sometimes there are one or two hot scenes amidst less exciting stuff (Channel X). You hope to come across the occasional gem. Choose Your Cooze is the best of the lot so far. It is also an all-condom movie, penetration-wise, so those who have a strong aversion to condoms can leave at this point. Still here? Good. The premise is simple. Apparently the producer called a bunch of pornstars and asked them who they'd want to work with, and the results can be seen on this DVD.

Initial Reaction: It isnt Face Dance Part 1, but it doesnt try to be either. For a gonzo movie, its going to be hard to beat. Audio /Video Quality: The transfer appears to be very good. Theres some focus issues, but nothing worse than any other gonzo movie. The audio synchs great and is very clear in all but a couple outdoor situations. Music: The music feels out of place. Thankfully, its only in a couple scenes, so it doesnt detract from the movie that much.

If the title is "Butt Banged Naughty Nurses" (from back in '97), you know there'll be scenes featuring anal sex and pornstars dressed as nurses and no plot to distract "you wankers at home", as Sabrina would put it. Sabrina Johnson sits in a dentist's chair and introduces the scenes. I wonder if Sabrina talks like that in real life, or is she trying to sound sexy in a kind of innocent-butt-nasty way. Or maybe she is not quite convinced by her lines, like "I get so horny watching girls get their ass stretched wide" and so on. Whatever, she looks cute in that white dress (also white panties, stockings and suspenders, and a pair of platform shoes to complete the look). There's one point I don't like, though: the hot pink lipstick she has on (which matches her fingernails as a kind of fashion statement). I prefer a more natural look. The DVD starts out being educational but that does not consume enough time to make it worth while. So, mini-orgy footage is shown to make it more worth your while. Educational part: The educational part is pieced together. There is a scene where Nina Hartley fingers Anna Malle's ass and of course let us know what we need to know about penetrating asses--"The anus never lies". The audio is not well balanced. If you set the volume so that you can hear what is being said you will wake the neighbors once Anna starts to moan. Although, it was nice seeing Anna wiggle around on fingers. Indeed, after having been let down by EVERY shot- on-film feature, this was the first that was both properly developed (no extreme grain or bad color correction) and really well shot.

Review brief: This is not a new DVD, but no one has apparently posted a review, so here are some comments. London Calling continues in the same vein as Tanya Hyde's two earlier Private videos (Xtreme Desires and Twisted Dreams). There are five scenes featuring Monique Covét along with Bettina, who has been in quite a few Private productions, and the less familiar girls Ingrid Suede and Chantelle. The cocksmen are billed as Tony di Sergio, Kevin Long, Roy Rogers and Tony Gold. The editing is in the same style as in the previous videos: induced graininess, jerkiness and false colours alternate with snippets of more ordinary video, and everything is accompanied by driving techno beats and dubbed moans. Beyond the fetish clothing and settings, the sex itself is not that daring or outré. However, the style is original enough. In fact, the Tanya Hyde productions are just about the only ones coming from Private I find interesting at all.

Initial Reaction: Its well made, but Im not sure if I liked it or not. Audio /Video Quality: The video is very good for the age of the movie. Most of the movie is in color, but some spots are done in grainy black and white. The audio doesnt always match the video, but it isnt meant to in a lot of spots. The transfer definitely leaves a lot to be desired, but Ive seen a lot worse. Audio /Video Quality: The video is better than I expected, but the audio is much worse. The video is very soft and slightly grainy. I dont know why, but it worked for me. Maybe it added to some of the artistic feel. For some reason, I dont think a crystal clear picture would have been as good for Secrets.

From what I head about Anabolic, I had better than average expectations. Initial Reaction: Better than average, but a little more attention could have made it much better. Audio /Video Quality: A little better than average. There are some problems with shadows (although most of the movie takes place at night), but they're more than they should be. The audio is very poorly balanced and the dialogue is very hard to hear much of the time. Music: The music fits the scenes very well, but it's way to loud. I gave up on trying to understand the dialogue after the second scene. The balance would have been pretty good throughout most of the movie if the dialogue and music volumes were reversed.

Review: Ive never really been impressed with the idea of a sex simulator. Maybe it comes form too many disappointments when I tried playing the simulators as a kid that were supposed to be just as good as the real thing. Maybe they were if you were a choir boy, but when I play the game where you race cars through a busy downtown area, I want the blood smear and thump that youre supposed to get when you run over little old ladies combined with the cops not being able to catch you.

Review brief: Contrary to the misleading title, BRING 'UM YOUNG has nothing to do with the Mormon-based University [drum roll], but rather, is just another porn DVD from the decidedly non- conservative institution known as Anabolic Video. Of course, any xxx-rated movie with a title like this is bound to raise a few eyebrows as well as other body parts, but rest assured, there are no Traci Lords-aged girls in this feature. But like the BARELY LEGAL series from Hustler Video, this video is an obvious (and commendable, might I add) attempt to pander to the dirty old man/woman buried deep in every porn watcher's heart. However, once you get past the novelty of seeing young and the restless at play, maintaining viewer interest in this series will ultimately depend on the strength of its fucking and sucking scenes. Thankfully, BRING 'UM YOUNG meets up to Anabolic standards for raw, uninhibited, and adulterated white hot sex.
