Review brief: NIGHT TRIPS 2 is the sequel to the ground- breaking and break-through work from director Andrew Blake. Starring the incredible Tori Welles, NIGHT TRIPS featured beautiful women in highly-charged performances filmed gorgeously against a backdrop of dreamy, fantasy sequences. Although NIGHT TRIPS 2 was seen as the lesser sequel of the original, this movie remains one of my all time favorite pieces of erotica, due largely to the presence of star Paula Price and the beautiful Lauren Hall. Although this film merely continues the novelty of a very horny woman being studied for her very vivid wet dreams (via a monitor which displays her subconsious fantasies), NIGHT TRIPS 2 features an all-star cast and some of the best sex scenes I have ever witnessed.

Review brief: 'Chameleons' is one of John Leslie's later creations for VCA.. shot on film with a substantial (if not great) plot and (for the time) good production values. It centers on Rocco Siffredi and Deidre Holland as a couple of shape-changers who can turn into any person they like if they drain their sexual energy; and on Ashlyn Gere as a woman who gets involved with them.. They first meet at an orgy-style party where one can briefly see a young and hot Sunset Thomas riding on hubby Zach. Deidre stands in a corner looking bored while being touched by another woman. Meanwhile Ashlyn goes to the bathroom and is interrupted by Deidre who suddenly turns into Rocco, the 'real' Rocco still having fun at the party. A sex scene follows between the two and there's quite some energy between them, Rocco finally shooting on Ashlyn's chin and breasts. After the orgy, on their way home, Rocco is grumpy since his energy has been partially drained by Deidre during her transformation... Things get worse when Ashlyn turns up again at their home.

The video is average and the audio echoes in spots, but is much better than other adult films of this age, such as the Original Debbie Does Dallas. The Review: Centerspread Girls kind of reminds me of my youth. It revolves around MOM trying to stop porn (or at least not let me have it). In this case, MOM is Morality Over Madness, a moral majority group which has been trying to shut down Panther magazine for years.

The Plot: Jenna Jameson plays Fawn Deering, a college student researching animal mythology and human sexuality. This leads her to Dr. Jade (Asia Carrera) for an interview. While there, she meets Adam (Brad Armstrong) and is drawn to him. Sophie the maid (Missy) warns her to leave Jade Manor and never look back, but Fawn cannot resist Adam's invitation to return that weekend to observe a bacchanal.

Review brief: Pre Viewing Expectations Wow, the case says this feature is over three hours. This will be the first porno I've watched that is longer than most main stream motion pictures. There is a bit of a write up about the plot, but it expects one to have watched the first one in the series (which I have not). Also noted are the 11 scenes and the 33 girls staring in this feature. Mention of filling Jill Kelly's three holes is also made. The Main Event As promised on the case, there are eleven sex scenes in this movie. Most are typical male/female parings. There are a couple of group sex scens, including the "all holes filled" scene. This doesn't involve three men, but two men and either a dildo or pussy to occupy the third opening. Not exactly air tight, and a bit disappointing. Many of the scenes are quite long, to the point of being too long. I found myself getting bored with this, often noting it was time they moved on to something new. The plot is supposed to revolve around a car wash, which is going mobile to make money.

Review brief: Never let it be said that I don't go the whole nine yards to give you, the discerning porn connoissier, the very best in adult DVD reviews. I work hard at giving you the most thorough, accurate and humorous reviews that I can. Sometimes, I have to make sacrifices in order to give you the best review in exchange for the time it takes to read them. In the case of today's DVD, the Texas Dildo Masquerade, I went out and rented the movie that inspired this tale of lost teenagers in a wilderness of terror. Yes, I actually watched the Texas Chainsaw Massacre in order to catch any reference that the director may throw at you. I suspect that the director is a fan of the original horror movie and he wanted to show, in his own way, that he enjoyed the cult classic and pay homage to the archetype of the slasher films. He failed. The Plot: Okay, check this out. Four impressionable "youths" are driving through the countryside to check on the gravesite of one of their number's grandfather.

Review brief: The Plot: As you can tell from the title, this is part three of a series. I really wish I'd seen the first two. I might know a bit more where these people were coming from. I dropped this happy disk into my DVD player, expecting a fairly brainless ho-hum, low budget porn flick. I should have paid more attention. Two clues went right by me until I watched the opening credits. Clue number one: This is VCA putting out this DVD, so they have the talent. Clue number two: Executive producer is Antonio Passolini. Aha! As far as I can gather, the Upsilon Sigma Sorority has apparently been using voodoo rituals to kidnap fraternity guys to use them for breeding purposes. The girls stay young and fresh through depraved rituals, and use the guys for stud service whenever they feel the need or want children. I don't really see the problem, but I suppose the guys don't like being kept around and screwed silly every now and then. Whatever. Anyhow, our movie starts with the capture of the latest recruit for stud service.

Review brief: For my money, VCA remains the leader in the DVD market when it comes to high quality transfers of their back video catalog. Despite their mandatory condoms policy and use of the multiple angles graphic in many of their releases, VCA is synonymous for hot sex featuring their gorgeous contract women, so the consumer can hardly go wrong with their line of DVDs. Of course some movies are better than most, and in the case of the LOVE'S PASSION, some are merely above average.

My hopes rose a little when I saw that she wrote the script for Voices. Within the first 5 seconds after the opening credits, my hopes started to pay off. The camera work was excellent from the start, switching between color and black and white shots with some chains hanging down rattling.

A few short biographies, interactive sex, and a few previews. Audio / Video Quality: The video quality is better than average. The picture is quite clear, and there weren't any spots where I thought it was grainy. The audio is a little below average. In a few parts the sound echoes slightly, however the main problem is the audio level. Normally on my TV I have the volume in the low 20s. For Night Nurses, I had to turn it up to almost 40 to try and hear anything. At least the audio track matched the video well. The Rest: "We all want our patients to leave here happy, happy, happy." Nina Hartley says at one point. That shouldn't be a problem with the treatments patients get at this hospital.

Review brief: Decadence is a silent film with a semi- creepy soundtrack mixed with water drops, sighs and moans. Story wise it's gorgeous Chelsea Blue masturbating while having dream like flashbacks of sexual encounters with other women and a single m/f couple. On the plus side all the women look beautiful. The photography and production is stylish. On the negative side I am a Dalia Grey fan and this is the first time she doesn't appear in an Andrew Blake production since she started working with him. The editing is a little too jumpy for my taste. I wish Blake would let the scenes of Chelsea Blue play out longer before cutting in and out of her. Also I wish he had done an audio commentary like the one he did back in 1994 on laserdisc for Les Femmes Erotiques (The Erotic women) which is very enjoyable and informative. Extras. There is a semihidden trailer, Still gallery and a 30 min. film called Private Property. It stars Celeste and Zdenka.

Review brief: Right from the start, let me say that CASHMERE is a great-looking movie and ana amazing production from VCA. This video directed by the one and only Michael Ninn occasionally goes overboard with the digital effects used throughout the various sex scenes, but unlike his previous efforts like SHOCK, LATEX and the highly disappointing NEW WAVE HOOKERS, they never distract or get in the way of the eroticism (his best work, DECADENCE and DIVA I through III have yet ato appear on DVD. However, I do have a aesthetic complaint about this film, which unfortunately cannot be helped due to the visual setting and theme of this movie. The powder white bouffant wigs which are placed on the head of every girl gets to be a bit much, and makes most of the girls lookalike. Costumes in adult movie are okay, but I prefer spiked high heels and stripper outfits and Victoria's Secret lingerie over period fashion designs any day. In any event, this early DVD release merely represent standard VCA excellence.

Review brief: Peter North's NORTH POLE series have gotten some mixed reviews among different adult circles throughout the world wide web. After reviewing volume number seven of this series, I am at a loss as to understanding why anybody would complain. This all-sex series takes a straightforward approach to its sex scenes, so those looking for a plot or theme would be better off with the latest VCA releases than with the simple set-ups presented here. Naturally, this series is named after The Porn Star Formerly Known as Matt Ramsey, who is also well-known for his prodigious resultant orgasms, which give new meaning to the term "pop-shot." Peter North has been in the business for nearly twenty years, and he is as recognizable as most of the industry's sex starlets when it comes to popularity. In my naivete, I always believed that he derived his name from the Peter Brady character, with whom he shares a somewhat close resemblance [don't laugh, I said "somewhat!"]. It wasn't until years later that I finally understood the meaning of his name.

Review brief: The Plot: One fine spring day many years ago in the countryside of well, I dont know where the hell this takes place. I suppose it doesnt matter. Anyhow, John (our hero) is walking through the woods one day and comes across a young couple without being seen. Like most young couples in porn movies, theyre just starting to get naked in time for us to catch the full effect of them scromping away on the forest floor. The young couple continue with their lovemaking while John spies on them from the bushes. Lo and behold, the woman is aware of Johns presence! Naturally, she does what any young woman does when caught in the act of illicit lovemaking by some stranger she gives him sensuous looks while she continues to screw her partner. (Okay, this goes completely contrary to my experience. Usually when people know Im watching, they scream and get their clothes on. It must be something in the water at the porn movie sets.

Review brief: "When you got somethin' this good, you share it with your friends." Jaybird (Paul Thomas) tells John (Jon Martin) about Hot Hips (Jesie St. James) This sums up Nurses of the 407th. This is one of the best adult spoofs I have ever seen. It spoofs MASH with the same plot and acting as the late sitcom. In fact, the acting and plot are probably better than most of the sitcoms on TV today. I know I laughed more watching this as I do at most sitcoms. Herschel Savage is a riot as a patient who gets in worse condition the longer he stays in the hospital. Jesie St. James has a hilarious solo scene sweet talking her dildo (Mr. Penis), and is one of the hottest adult film stars I have ever seen. It's sad that she disappeared from the adult film scene so quickly. The makers of the movie went very much for production values. There are many extras who we never even see in a sex scene, as well as not every scene has a cum shot. Normally I always want to have a 'big finish' to each sex scene, but in Nurses of the 407th, it doesn't detract from the movie.

Review brief: After youve watched enough X-rated DVDs, you start to notice little clues about them that can tell you whether or not this particular disc has a future in your permanent collection, or if it is going to be used to prop up that pesky table that wobbles. There are some warning signs that are usually a good indicator of whether or not to avoid the disc. A large warning sign is if there is no description of the DVD on the box. Another warning sign of a bad porn movie is if there is no list of the performers on the box, either. That in mind, consider that Vivids DVD of Plaything has nothing on the box except a couple of pretty pictures and a list of the special features. Sound ominous? It is. But read on, intrepid porn fans. Find out if Plaything is worth playing with. The Plot: Who watches the watchmen? Or, in a modern bent on a classic situation, we join Paula (Nikki Tyler), a sexual relationship counselor who has been having relationship troubles.

Review brief: If you are forever stuck in the 1980's, keep reading, this movie will be right up your alley. If, however, you are looking for something fresh and modern, quit now and look for another review. Overall, I am quite impressed with the video remastering job done on this movie. After all, the original was shot what I estimate to be in the 1980s. Parts of the video appear hazy, almost like a midday soap opera, but this is the desired effect they were going for at the time, and not to be construed as a flaw in the video. If you remember anything about the 80s, you'll remember how video effects were new, neat, and excessively used. This movie is no exception, reverse video and other color based effects are used quite a bit in the early parts of the film, to the point I found distracting. Thankfully it doesn't permiate the entire movie. The audio, likewise, is very good. It was full and rich, even if it was a bit annoying, but that is just my opinion. The repeating musical chord is more the fault of a limited musical score, rather than the remastered audio track.

Review brief: NIGHT TRIPS 2 is the sequel to the ground- breaking and break-through work from director Andrew Blake. Starring the incredible Tori Welles, NIGHT TRIPS featured beautiful women in highly-charged performances filmed gorgeously against a backdrop of dreamy, fantasy sequences. Although NIGHT TRIPS 2 was seen as the lesser sequel of the original, this movie remains one of my all time favorite pieces of erotica, due largely to the presence of star Paula Price and the beautiful Lauren Hall. Review brief: 'Chameleons' is one of John Leslie's later creations for VCA.. shot on film with a substantial (if not great) plot and (for the time) good production values. It centers on Rocco Siffredi and Deidre Holland as a couple of shape-changers who can turn into any person they like if they drain their sexual energy; and on Ashlyn Gere as a woman who gets involved with them.. They first meet at an orgy-style party where one can briefly see a young and hot Sunset Thomas riding on hubby Zach. Deidre stands in a corner looking bored while being touched by another woman. Review brief: Pre Viewing Expectations Wow, the case says this feature is over three hours. This will be the first porno I've watched that is longer than most main stream motion pictures. There is a bit of a write up about the plot, but it expects one to have watched the first one in the series (which I have not). Also noted are the 11 scenes and the 33 girls staring in this feature. Mention of filling Jill Kelly's three holes is also made. The Main Event As promised on the case, there are eleven sex scenes in this movie. Most are typical male/female parings. There are a couple of group sex scens, including the "all holes filled" scene. This doesn't involve three men, but two men and either a dildo or pussy to occupy the third opening. Not exactly air tight, and a bit disappointing. Many of the scenes are quite long, to the point of being too long. I found myself getting bored with this, often noting it was time they moved on to something new. The plot is supposed to revolve around a car wash, which is going mobile to make money.

Review brief: The Plot: As you can tell from the title, this is part three of a series. I really wish I'd seen the first two. I might know a bit more where these people were coming from. I dropped this happy disk into my DVD player, expecting a fairly brainless ho-hum, low budget porn flick. I should have paid more attention. Two clues went right by me until I watched the opening credits. Clue number one: This is VCA putting out this DVD, so they have the talent. Clue number two: Executive producer is Antonio Passolini. Aha! As far as I can gather, the Upsilon Sigma Sorority has apparently been using voodoo rituals to kidnap fraternity guys to use them for breeding purposes. The girls stay young and fresh through depraved rituals, and use the guys for stud service whenever they feel the need or want children. I don't really see the problem, but I suppose the guys don't like being kept around and screwed silly every now and then. Whatever. My hopes rose a little when I saw that she wrote the script for Voices. Within the first 5 seconds after the opening credits, my hopes started to pay off. The camera work was excellent from the start, switching between color and black and white shots with some chains hanging down rattling.

For Night Nurses, I had to turn it up to almost 40 to try and hear anything. At least the audio track matched the video well. The Rest: "We all want our patients to leave here happy, happy, happy." Nina Hartley says at one point. That shouldn't be a problem with the treatments patients get at this hospital.

Review brief: Decadence is a silent film with a semi- creepy soundtrack mixed with water drops, sighs and moans. Story wise it's gorgeous Chelsea Blue masturbating while having dream like flashbacks of sexual encounters with other women and a single m/f couple. On the plus side all the women look beautiful. The photography and production is stylish. On the negative side I am a Dalia Grey fan and this is the first time she doesn't appear in an Andrew Blake production since she started working with him. The editing is a little too jumpy for my taste. I wish Blake would let the scenes of Chelsea Blue play out longer before cutting in and out of her. Also I wish he had done an audio commentary like the one he did back in 1994 on laserdisc for Les Femmes Erotiques (The Erotic women) which is very enjoyable and informative. Extras. Review brief: Right from the start, let me say that CASHMERE is a great-looking movie and ana amazing production from VCA. This video directed by the one and only Michael Ninn occasionally goes overboard with the digital effects used throughout the various sex scenes, but unlike his previous efforts like SHOCK, LATEX and the highly disappointing NEW WAVE HOOKERS, they never distract or get in the way of the eroticism (his best work, DECADENCE and DIVA I through III have yet ato appear on DVD. However, I do have a aesthetic complaint about this film, which unfortunately cannot be helped due to the visual setting and theme of this movie. The powder white bouffant wigs which are placed on the head of every girl gets to be a bit much, and makes most of the girls lookalike. Costumes in adult movie are okay, but I prefer spiked high heels and stripper outfits and Victoria's Secret lingerie over period fashion designs any day. In any event, this early DVD release merely represent standard VCA excellence.

Review brief: Peter North's NORTH POLE series have gotten some mixed reviews among different adult circles throughout the world wide web. After reviewing volume number seven of this series, I am at a loss as to understanding why anybody would complain. This all-sex series takes a straightforward approach to its sex scenes, so those looking for a plot or theme would be better off with the latest VCA releases than with the simple set-ups presented here. Naturally, this series is named after The Porn Star Formerly Known as Matt Ramsey, who is also well-known for his prodigious resultant orgasms, which give new meaning to the term "pop-shot." Peter North has been in the business for nearly twenty years, and he is as recognizable as most of the industry's sex starlets when it comes to popularity. In my naivete, I always believed that he derived his name from the Peter Brady character, with whom he shares a somewhat close resemblance [don't laugh, I said "somewhat!"]. It wasn't until years later that I finally understood the meaning of his name.

Review brief: "When you got somethin' this good, you share it with your friends." Jaybird (Paul Thomas) tells John (Jon Martin) about Hot Hips (Jesie St. James) This sums up Nurses of the 407th. This is one of the best adult spoofs I have ever seen. It spoofs MASH with the same plot and acting as the late sitcom. In fact, the acting and plot are probably better than most of the sitcoms on TV today. I know I laughed more watching this as I do at most sitcoms. Herschel Savage is a riot as a patient who gets in worse condition the longer he stays in the hospital. Jesie St. James has a hilarious solo scene sweet talking her dildo (Mr. Penis), and is one of the hottest adult film stars I have ever seen. It's sad that she disappeared from the adult film scene so quickly. The makers of the movie went very much for production values. There are many extras who we never even see in a sex scene, as well as not every scene has a cum shot. Normally I always want to have a 'big finish' to each sex scene, but in Nurses of the 407th, it doesn't detract from the movie.

Review brief: If you are forever stuck in the 1980's, keep reading, this movie will be right up your alley. If, however, you are looking for something fresh and modern, quit now and look for another review. Overall, I am quite impressed with the video remastering job done on this movie. After all, the original was shot what I estimate to be in the 1980s. Parts of the video appear hazy, almost like a midday soap opera, but this is the desired effect they were going for at the time, and not to be construed as a flaw in the video. If you remember anything about the 80s, you'll remember how video effects were new, neat, and excessively used. This movie is no exception, reverse video and other color based effects are used quite a bit in the early parts of the film, to the point I found distracting. Thankfully it doesn't permiate the entire movie. The audio, likewise, is very good. It was full and rich, even if it was a bit annoying, but that is just my opinion. The repeating musical chord is more the fault of a limited musical score, rather than the remastered audio track.
