Tori's favorite pastime in this one is to ride around on her motorcycle (with her guys)...fucking, sucking, and wreaking havoc wherever she goes. Indeed, she gets it on with her dudes on an old woman's front lawn and then demands a tip from her. She fucks her good friend's wife in his living room after breaking into his house. She forces a young couple whom she stumbles upon to have sex in front of her and the gang for their entertainment. And, she even laughs it off when one of her "friends" is hit by a truck and turned into road-pizza. "Coming of Age" is an overall-good flick--released by Caballero and director F. J. Lincoln--from the late-80s featuring Tami Monroe and Tori Welles. In this one, Tami's a diminutive 18(+)-year-old bumpkin from the backwoods of Montana who runs away from her grandfather after he shoots her boyfriend and rival clan's member (Tom Byron) upon finding the pair getting it on. She ends up at her aunt (Cheri Taylor)'s "home", which turns out to be nothing more than a high-end brothel. Always the curious youngster, Tami ultimately gets involved in some of the goings-on at the house of ill repute and brings about some trouble for herself and, more so, the others involved. I would compare this, quality and style wise to Lincoln's "Love on the Run", a porn masterpiece that still hasn't gotten the DVD treatment. This is a porn movie that manages to tell a story and show developed characters, as well as present sex. Tami (Tami Monroe) is a country girl who lives with her Granpappy (Lincoln). Despite the very poor transfer and the authoring problems, the film is not unwatchable and fans of Andrew Blake's work will still want to pick this disc up. How nice it is not to have to fast forward through all the double and triple penetrations, or fight a wave of nausea as someone proudly displays an asshole resembling the Grand Canyon. Directed by Alex De Renzy, "Pretty Peaches 3" garnered much in the way of critical and popular acclaim when it was first released back in 1989. Now, over a decade later, the video holds up only middlingly well despite it's "classic' status. I am not at all sure if today's "XXX-Generation" (those who maintain a steady diet of Max Hardcore and Sodomania) videos will have the patience for it. Shot on film, the DVD is much sharper and has better colors than its original VHS incarnation. For an old-timer like me, it was great to see actresses like Rachel Ryan, Victoria Paris, Tianna and Keisha back in action, although their best work has yet to hit DVD.The movie follows Keisha "on a quest for spritual enlightenment," but her encounters are more physical than anything else. Despite the fashion period of that time, Keisha looks great in just about every scene she's in.
