Coming Of Age (Caballero) Review

Review:
“Coming of Age” is an overall-good flick—released by Caballero and director F. J. Lincoln—from the late-80s featuring Tami Monroe and Tori Welles. In this one, Tami’s a diminutive 18(+)-year-old bumpkin from the backwoods of Montana who runs away from her grandfather after he shoots her boyfriend and rival clan’s member (Tom Byron) upon finding the pair getting it on. She ends up at her aunt (Cheri Taylor)’s “home”, which turns out to be nothing more than a high-end brothel. Always the curious youngster, Tami ultimately gets involved in some of the goings-on at the house of ill repute and brings about some trouble for herself and, more so, the others involved. While not the most elaborate of plots, it’s enough to frame the action well and to keep things moving.

In terms of the sex, Scene One features Tami Monroe and Tom Byron taking care of business out on the farm and on / around Tom’s tractor. Tami kicks things off in a denim miniskirt and a red-and-white-striped half-top, and—thinking her grandfather gone—immediately gets it on with Tom. The pair transitions through some sexy vaginal positions, making use of one of the tractor’s wheels and its shovel for support, before the festivities close out with a pop-shot on her tummy, thigh, and bush. In all, this one falls into the very good category. Scene Two takes place in Tori Welles’ bedroom at the brothel. Tori—a jaded working girl there—decides to help the “innocent” Tami out by showing her how to give a blowjob using a dildo. One thing leads to another, however, and this all ends up transitioning into a good, finger-and-tongue, lesbian tryst.

Scene Three features a three-way involving working girls Porsche Lynn and Mandi Wine and their client Peter North. Taking place in a back bedroom at the brothel—with Tami sneaking in and masturbating for part of the action—this one involves some nice double-blowjob work and oral combos, and Peter ultimately fucks both of the women. He pops out of a doggie-style position on Porsche’s ass and Mandi’s face. Mandi then proceeds to provide some oral cock clean-off and does a bit of cum-licking—good segment with an awesome ending. In Scene Four, virginal newcomer to the whorehouse, Honey Moore, and William Sweet—who’s there because his father has insisted that he get laid—have a sweet, life-altering romp. Young romance at its finest, this good sequence includes some nice oral work and doggie-style action before culminating in a load on Honey’s back and ass—how cute.

In Scene Five, Cheri Taylor (Tami’s aunt and also a prostitute at the brothel) has to take on Randy West because his would-be “date”, Honey, opts to leave with William and his father. What results is a decent encounter featuring a couple of vaginal positions and a cum-shot on Cheri’s ass for a finale. To close out the movie, Scene Six pairs up Tori Welles with Joey Silvera on a couch in the main room of the brothel after everyone has left. While Joey’s eating Tori, he notices that Tami—whose aunt has forbade her from participating in any of the shenanigans—has snuck back in. Saying nothing, she begins to blow him as he continues to eat out Tori. The entire affair then transitions into a threesome, with Joey fucking both Tori and Tami—the latter of which leads to him popping out of a doggie-style position on Ms. Monroe’s backside. Her aunt, of course, finds out and heads roll. All in all, this is an excellent scene.

In terms of bonuses, the offerings are light. There’s a “Photos” selection (a slideshow of stills—not all of which appear to be from this production), a “Previews” option that plays through short clips from a number of related releases, an advertisement for the company’s “Web Page”, and some “Phone Sex” ads. That’s it. (It should also be noted that there are some color-transfer issues in the last scene, but they’re not persistent and aren’t there long enough to really matter.)

All in all, this is a good release that’s worth a look…particularly if one’s in the mood for some X-rated nostalgia. It’s certainly different than more-modern fare, but this just adds to its charm.
