Initial Expectations: Rocco has amazed me since I started watching him in Stagliano’s Buttman features. I have no doubts that he’ll be just as amazing here and know that Evil Angel will give it a great transfer for DVD.

Initial Reaction: It’s Rocco at some of his nastiest and roughest. It’s also dang hot!

Who Should Watch It : Anybody looking for something a lot more primal and rougher, fans of Private’s releases, and fans of natural women.

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who thinks VCA, Wicked, and the other leading American porn companies are too hardcore and anybody who doesn’t like anal and rougher sex.

Audio /Video Quality: The audio is great during the sex scenes, but during a couple of the other sequences it’s a little off balance. The video has a very slight grain and a couple soft focus problems, but it’s much better than the average porno, as one expects from Evil Angel.

Music: There’s a little during some of the plot sequences, but that’s about it.

Menus: Evil Angel has always done a great job with their menus. They were the first out there to do the fetish menu, where you can go to a specific sexual act in a scene, as well as listing the cast in the scene in the chapter menu. This time there’s also a nice bit of animation to make the menus look even more impressive than usual.

The Feature: Rocco’s Way to Love surprised me right away. There are so many all sex features out there now that I expected this to be another of them. I should have known that with Rocco’s talent it would be something more, but well, that’s what you get when you assume. Instead of going right to pure action, it starts with sepia tones, blue and white, black and white, and other monochromatic color schemes before working its way to color. It’s a very artistic beginning that made me take an immediate like to the feature. It also starts out right away with Rocco being blamed for the apparent murder of Kelly Stafford.

The first scene also starts off very different, especially if you’re used to American porn. Katherine Count pulls Amanda Warren from a closet, puts a leather mask on her, and guilds her into the bathroom to blow Rocco as he sits on the shitter. After flushing, he has Amanda lick his ass clean. Anybody who’s seen much of Rocco knows he can be one of the most extreme male performers out there, but you also know that very few performers care about their partners as much as Rocco does. He repeatedly pulls her down to deep throat his cock, and she does gag a little, but he also asks her several times if she’s alright.

The storyline in Rocco’s Way to Love is handled very well. Rocco and Gabriel Zero are interviewed by a female detective who looks a lot like Katherine Count, although I’m not sure that it is. They’re done in sepia tones and give the movie a nicely artistic feel. It isn’t an extremely strong plot, but it does set the mood nicely and makes it feel like there’s a little more here than just great, but rough, sex. It’s a lot of what makes Rocco’s Way to Love work so very well. Almost anybody could have done this a similar way and come off as disrespectful trash. Rocco and the rest of the cast is into it to the point the instead it comes off as extremely hot.

Extras: The photo gallery includes approx. 47 very good looking snapshots. Unlike some other studios, there’s a nice bit of directions on how to navigate through it. A biography for Rocco Siffredi is also included. It’s a pretty good biography of Rocco, but obviously written by somebody who’s quite a fan. Filmographies are included for Kelly Stafford, Katherine Count, and Amanda.

Finally, there’s about fifteen minutes of additional footage that wasn’t included in the original film. The first scene has extra footage of the scene with Mary Foster, Anushka Garin, and Ruth Farah. Once again it focuses mostly on Anushka, Mary, and her boyfriend, but Ruth and the black guy are still there a little. Next, Sabine Mallory gives Veronica White a little rubber glove and butt plug action. There’s a lot of toys around them which makes me think there’s probably a lot more here than what we get to see. Finally, there’s a little more of Rocco with Amanda Warren and Katherine Count. There’s some decent extra footage here that’s another reason the DVD is well above average.

If you’re looking for something a little rougher, this is probably right up your alley. The sex is very hot, the transfer very good, and the extras very nice. If you’re even considering this one, rent it to give it a chance.

Note to Evil Angel: Great job. Evil Angel is well known for giving some of the hottest sex around some of the best transfers around. It’s nice to see you adding decent extras, such as the extra footage, to the package as well.
