"Dracula Sucks"...and so does the movie. Despite featuring a veritable Who's Who of the Golden Age of adult films (with the likes of Annette Haven, Seka, Serena, Kay Parker, Jamie Gillis, Paul Thomas, John Leslie, etc. onboard), this film still manages to fall flatter than piss on a plate in just about every conceivable manner. Dracula Sucks is an odd, high budget, and very fun adult film, which could have only come out of the 1970s adult film industry. While constantly trying to straddle the line of mainstream comedy and adult horror, and never 100 percent succeeding at any of these tasks, the end result is a unique experience that has a lot to offer viewers looking for more than just copulation. The print isn't perfect, but is better than any release prior. [read the full review]

Where Are They Now? (Sun Lust / Paradise Visuals) review summaries:

Review: Where Are They Now? is a good production from Sun Lust and Paradise Visuals that should also come with a warningactually two warnings. The first is a good one: the heat thats generated in some of the sequences, particularly the old-school Ginger Lynn segment with John Holmes and the new Dyanna Lauren boy-girl scene, is off-the-chartsso if you have a heart condition or you burn easily, beware. The second warning is of the not-so-good variety: there are some pretty serious technical issues in the new material here. Basically what occurs in this production is a good amount of pixilation (of the horizontal line type) that is particularly pronounced when there is motion. There also seems to be some sort of issue with fast motion itself, as well. It almost feels as though it trails or hesitates a bit across the screen. While these items dont ultimately kill the productionlargely because the older segments dont have such issuesthey can be difficult to get through at times. [read the full review]

Day 5 of Vividfest rocks on with the winner, Where are They Now? This DVD brings you the best of both worlds! One classic scene and one current scene from three of the biggest adult film stars of all time. First you will see them in the scenes that made them famous and then you will see them today! This 6 scene 2 hour release features Ginger Lynn, Dyanna Lauren, and Nina Hartley in scenes from their 1st time around and also a more recent scene. This release is well worth getting for any one of the ladies, but with a combined effort, you should be in classic era heaven with this collection. From the classic era, Ginger is the hottest of the three, which is by no means a slam on the others; its just that Ginger was my first. Jump to current day, and Dyanna has definitely held up the best. On a side note, one who has definitely not held up from the classic era is Ron Jeremy. [read the full review]

Erotic Adventures Of Dickman & Throbbin, The review summaries:
fu_q's
Possessing special powers that allow them to turn both frigid housewives and uninterested daughters into naughty nymphomaniacs with but a single fuck, Dickman (John Holmes) and Throbbin (Tom Byron) spread the love in "The Erotic Adventures of Dickman and Throbbin". An otherwise-good, 1986 release from Western Visuals and Jerome Tanner, the version of this flick available at adultempire.com as a part of their (...excellent, I might add...) unlimited streaming service seems to be missing the last few scenes (at least according to the scene list at iafd.com). Interestingly, a quick check of various other digital porn providers seems to indicate that this is the rule and not the exception. This sad decision on someone's part, of course, means that the plot is cut short, as is the sex. That said, what is included is still hot, and the Amber Lynn, Tom Byron, John Holmes boinking remains intact. While it's difficult to fully recommend a heavily cut version of a film, this one is still fun. [read the full review]

A young, rich woman goes missing, and it falls to a low-rent private investigator, Johnny Wadd (played by the legendary John Holmes), to find and ultimately save her from the clutches of a down and dirty, no good kidnapper. Of course, along the way, subterfuge, chicanery, and greed are all served up in spades...as is a strong side of fucking. Such is the case in "Johnny Wadd", a decent, 1973 release from VCX and director Bob Chinn. [read the full review]

It's just another wacky day and tacky night in a sex-crazed, 1970's American city in "Teenage Cruisers", an overall-good, oddball release from director Johnny Legend ("The Rockabilly Rasputin") and VCX. Teenage Cruisers is an oddball of a film. It tries very hard to be a rockabilly nostalgia film, but ultimately is a failure. Faked cum shots, loops inserted into the story, missed comedy, and a general failure of a direction for the film pull it down. VCX hasn't attempted to do much with the release with a presentation that manages to be acceptable and no extras at all. [read the full review]

Sex, swinging, and all types of erotic fun result when John Holmes, who's having an affair on his wife, finds his yellow jeep stolen whilst out shopping one day. It's a wacky, porny walk back through history as a scraggly, aged narrator (Ebenezer K. Bartholomu) rewrites the early American story to include all manner of sexual encounters involving some of its most beloved figures in "Spirit of Seventy Sex". A very good, 1976 release from VCX and director Godfrey Daniels, this remastered film offers up the likes of George and Martha Washington, Ben Franklin, Paul Revere, John Smith, and so on in a variety of goofy, satire-laced, often intentionally anachronistic romps that ultimately come off as fun, clever, and tongue-in-cheek as they do sexy. Little French Maid review summaries:

A horny, young, European maid, Connie Peterson, finds herself passed around, used, and abused by just about everyone with whom she comes in contact in America...and she wouldn't have it any other way. Whether her true lust will ultimately lead to true love--or whether she'll remain relegated to the carnal corners of life--remains the yearning question of the day. Such is the case in "Little French Maid", an overall-good, 1981 release from VCX and director Adele Robbins. [read the full review]

An already-bereft, World War 2 Navy man, John Holmes, finds himself stranded and fending for himself on a near-deserted island in the South Pacific after his ship goes down out at sea. Compounding his problems, he soon discovers that he's not alone in this "paradise", as the Nazis have set up a small, nearby radio-monitoring camp staffed by a pervy, lushy letch of a commander and his two carnal-crazy fraulein underlings. In attempting to rescue a pair of nurses also held captive at the camp, Holmes soon finds himself both a prisoner, as well, and at the mercy of this kinky, sadistic, Hitler-obsessed crew. Such is the case in "Prisoner of Paradise", a very good, 1980 release from VCX and directors Gail Palmer and Bob Chinn. [read the full review]

Prisoner of Paradise isn't the most plot motivated adult feature film out there but it isn't a bad feature by any means. The plot is thin and the acting for some of the cast is sketchy but the sex scenes aren't bad. Prisoner of Paradise is nicely shot. VCX has done an acceptable job with the release using a video master and including no extras. [read the full review]

Erotic Adventures of Candy (VCX) review summaries:
fu_q's
The virginally naive Candy Christian (played by the blonde bombshell, Carol Connors) unwittingly embarks upon the sexual adventure of a lifetime when her father ends up in the hospital after catching her getting it on with the hired help. Thereafter, Candy finds herself bumbling her way from one end of the country to the other, being taken advantage of by strangers, doctors, a cult leader, and even family members along the way. Fortunately for her (...and the viewer, as well...), she's more or less too ditzy to realize any of it and simply goes along for the sexy ride. Such is the case in the "Erotic Adventures of Candy", a very good, 1978 release from VCX and director Gail Palmer. [read the full review]

The Betty Boop of porno past, the lovely and charming brunette cutie, Desiree Cousteau, has certainly led a colorful, sex-filled life if "Inside Desiree Cousteau", an exceptional 1979 release from Leon Gucci and VCX, is to be believed. Yes, they're bigger than life, but they're also a part of American folklore. Their legends have a knack for getting exaggerated over the course of time. One must stretch his imagination quite a bit to buy into the tall tales told in children's storybooks, however, when it comes to Johnny Wad's wad we've got history recorded on film, videotape, and now DVD. His manhood has taken on mythic proportions--deservedly so, or not--but there's no denying the late poster boy for golden age smut packed some serious wood. With their DVD release of Holmes' pimp film Stormy, I'm surprised NuTech Digital was able to fit his entire dick on just one disc. Bruce, Sara Tulip, Alan Fink, and the Belly High Dance Troupe Initial Expectations: This one sound like a lot of fun. Initial Reaction: Its a lot of fun but not much of a porno. Audio /Video Quality: Its a classic, so one shouldnt expect it to look like a recently made movie. Even without considering the age, the audio is pretty clear. When considering the age, its great. The video suffers a little more. Its grainy and often very fuzzy with some relics. Music: The 70s music you know and love. Make that the 70s music you know. Review: The Senators Daughter is a lot of fun but its a little disappointing as a porno. Yes, normally the sex scenes in classic porn arent as long or defined as in modern porn but theyre even less so here. [read the full review]

Due to the video problems if you are a fan of the film or it sounds like a good movie to you, you probably want to wait and hope that a better version of it gets released in the future. As this is a limited edition release it will eventually leave the market and anther company may re-release a better print of it. If you are still considering purchasing it, I suggest that you rent it first so you can see how bad the video problems are before you purchase so you don't end up disappointed. [read the full review]

"Marilyn Chambers Private Fantasies 4", the fourth installment in the Marilyn-driven, 1980's fantasy vignette series from I-Candy, offers up seven sequences starring the former Ivory Snow Girl, all nominally representative of her various fantasies and/or experiences. One of the true adult legends of yesteryear, Marilyn is in top form here...athletic, fit, and firm...and it's clear that she, as of the time of this filming, hasn't lost a sexual step from her earlier days in the industry. Despite clocking in at only about 80 minutes, all of the sequences are erotic, well-captured, and well set up...and every instant seems used to excellent effect. [read the full review]

Pre Viewing Expectations The case notes this is a classic porn release, and briefly describes the plot. Most of the space on the back is used to list the extras included on the disc, and what a list it is, right down to the Dolby 5.1 sound. I don't have a Dolby 5.1 setup, so I can't comment on this. Too bad the case tells one how to find the bonus photos, half of the fun would have been searching around the various menus looking for the hidden tag. The Main Event This is a golden classis from the early days of Porn. It was produced in the early 1980's and stars the one and only Marilyn Chambers. She brings her own energy to any movie she stars in, which is just as hot now as it was the day she shot it. This movie is no exception. There are eight scenes total, with Marilyn appearing in a majority of those. Many of the scenes show actions we take for granted today, but were virtually unheard of back then. [read the full review]

As much as I love iCandy and Marilyn Chambers, I have to admit that the sex is not the highlight of this DVD. Up n Coming is loaded with plot and (aside from Marilyn's enjoyable songs) bad country music. The movie script, the audio commentary and Marilyn are what make this DVD so great. I may be crazy, but Marilyn's body looks even better in this flick than in Insatiable. When she's rubbing herself in the shower, every muscle in her body flexes. This is really a stunning opener, even though it doesn't lead to anything.Plot The plot centers on the trials and tribulations of up and coming country music singer, Cassie Harland (Marilyn.) Cassie learns that PR equals giving good head and falling legends, Lisa DeLeeuw, don't take their loss of stardom lightly. The acting and character development are excellent. So good that you really don't want to see the mean Lisa get any good sex (though she does get a nice threesome with her studly thug and his girlie.)Sex A few sex scenes stand out. Wow. Insatiable is the first classic porno Ive seen and it truly is classic. After watching this movie beginning to end (a porno rarity) I felt compelled to tell all of you how phenomenal it is. The increasing intensity portrayed so well by Marilyn Chambers mirrors the increasing intensity of a fist gripping, teeth clenching, heart pounding roll in the hay. The plot and the sex intermingle like a sensual story rather than a series of action sequences. Insatiable is more than a porno -its a finely constructed, very erotic movie (not to mention the groovin soundtrack.)The initial sex scenes arent even really sex scenes -lots pleasing and teasing, no cum shots. Marilyn does a lot of masturbating while fantasizing which grows increasingly passionate as the film progresses (culminating in an unbelievable scene with John Holmes -seeing him in action gives porn a whole new meaning.)The DVD quality is excellent. You can tell it is an old film by speckles here and there. But the image and the sound are both crisp. The audio commentary is interesting as are the bio and stills of Marilyn. [read the full review]
