The China Cat is the tenth film in the Johnny Wadd film series following The Jade Pussycat. In a way it continues the plot from The Jade Pussycat as the main item of focus, other than Johnny Wadd's large cock, is the Jade Pussycat. This entry is a take-off of Charlie's Angels, but obviously with an adult twist. Charlie (John Seeman) sends his Devils, Sinthia (Eileen Welles), Sandi (Paula Wain), Shari (Jennifer Richards), and Bambi (Cris Cassidy), to get the Jade Pussycat from private dick Johnny Wadd (John Holmes) — who is now in possession of the statue from the events in the previous film — for a client.

While The China Cat does utilize instances from The Jade Pussycat, it is not required to see that film prior to this one. The idea for the film is a good one, with a bit of a change of pace for the series. Instead of Johnny Wadd doing the hunting, he is the one being hunted. Overall, the film isn't as good as The Jade Pussycat, but does provide ample situations for the Devils to bed Johnny Wadd. This film does rely more on the sex to keep it going than the plot. What the film lacks in plot, it does make up for with the sex scenes. It features a fun ending as well. While not the best in the series, it is still worth checking out. The China Cat is followed by Blonde Fire.

The China Cat is presented in the full screen aspect ratio. The transfer here is problematic. The film has heavy grain, artifacts, and dirt. There is also a problem with color levels. In addition, there points where the brightness of the scene darkens and lightens. The image is soft. There also may be some missing frames in points. For instance, when Johnny Wadd (John Holmes) goes to prepare drinks for him and Shari (Jennifer Richards) on his walk over he skips over some space. The film is presented with a Dolby Digital 2.0 monaural track, which has hiss throughout. These instances that look like missing frames could just be editing issues from when the film was initially put together. I-Candy Entertainment has only included one extra on this release, which is a photo gallery with stills from the film.

The China Cat is the tenth film in the Johnny Wadd film series and a spoof on Charlie's Angels. While not the best entry in the series, the film is still a fun one and worth watching. I-Candy's transfer does leave something to be desired though.
