My review of the DVD (rented from Netflix.com) is based on how well it works as an art film, given that it is written and directed by the noted French director Catherine Breillat, famous for her controversial films that explore various aspects of sexuality, usually from a womans point of view. I admit I was curious to see what happens when a female director in her mid 50s has the chance to showcase Mr. Siffredi and his talents, as captured by a cinematographer on real film, not video. And this movie delivers as expected. The heat of the sex is mostly lost in the overdubbing and camera-mugging. Sex On the plus side, we have all-natural breasts, and some nice dicks playing hide and seek in their adorable turtlenecks. Also of note, no high heels for a change, something that my husband noted with appreciation. In the first scene, Rita offers Frank 'wild sex' with barbarian women. Sure the Limited Edition packaging is stunning, the sets are impressive, the extras are endless, but the sex just was not at the same level of quality I am used to from Adamo. I think Adamo does a wonderful job of finding new talent, but I really think this film could have used a few more of Private's veteran female performers to round out the cast. Don't get me wrong, this film is full of promising young talent with some beautiful natural bodies, but Rita Faltoyano is Private's only "star" performer in this film in my opinion. "Resurrection of Eve", the Mitchell Brothers follow up to "Behind the Green Door" is a different kind of adult film on many levels. First of all, the character development and ambition of this project is unprecedented for the genre. Secondly, it is an adult film in which the sex itself is actually shadowed by the storyline. With that being said, I wouldn't recommend the movie for somebody just looking to get a quick fix. The story follows a woman named Eve (played at different points in her life by Nancy Welch, Marilyn Chambers, and Mimi Morgan). She meets a smooth DJ named Frank Paradise (Matthew Arnon) whom she falls in love with and eventually marries. A soft spot for Frank, however, is Eve's friendship with black boxer Johnnie Keyes (playing himself). He gets insanely jealous, despite absolutely nothing going on. This eventually leads to a breakup, which leads to Eve (Mimi Morgan)getting into a disfiguring accident. After the accident, she is Marilyn Chambers. "A Gay Man's Take on Straight Porn" Well, this is the second Digital Playground disc I've seen, and the first I've ever reviewed, so how did it stack up? The Movie: Okay, I'm going to start this off by saying that if you hate movies with a lot of talking and character stuff, then avoid Stripped at all costs. This movie is very dialogue heavy, and all the sex is very spaced out. There are several really well done strip scenes, but I don't know if many would find them all that worthy of wank material.
